"This is an important stop."
"I see."
Vayve was speaking with the older brother of Markas whose attitude took a chuge turn around towards him and Yuna. He was also enjoying his brother surrounded by his peers! Right now, they were both in a carriage while speaking about an important stop which was in quite a big city.
The big city had a guild's branch where the adventurers could rest and be rather safe from the noble's influence.
They whole guild's branch had a lot facilities themselves where one could buy needed for the adventure items such as beast's dust scent. The adventurers planned to take a rest here and prepare for another adventure while the merchant would go outside and deal with his own matter.
It was time for the three 'brats' to have some fun too.
Vayve decided to ask for some of these beast's dust scents, then also to buy some medicine. Since the older brother was way too friendly, he accepted it on the spot!
"Thanks! Then, we will meet later!"
"Yeah, have fun."
And so, Vayve and his two 'peers' went around the city. The bustling crowd was no problem for them as they were a strong individuals themselves. The whole city was rather lively without anyone being influenced by the evil thoughts.
Thus, the kids lost themselves in the excitement and went around through a lot shops, but Vayve kinda understood them as he himself was enjoying a city which was way different compared to the one from his former life.
So before he could go to the shop with medicines, Vayve followed Yuna and Markas around! It was not surprising for the three of them to have some money, so the whole fun lasted for a day! Only when the sky turned darker, Vayve and his two friends faced a small medicine shop.
However, the young lady stopped them and gently asked to come tomorrow.
"It's already late and you three should go back."
"Um, I see... If that's-"
[Enter the shop - Time limit: 5 min.]
Vayve and his friends were stuffed with the snacks and other cheap stuff such as clothes, so it was kinda understandable for the young lady to actually stop them. However, Vayve suddenly got a quest to which he couldn't understand why.
Was there something unique within the shop?
Of course, if that's the case, then Vayve decided to press further.
"But we must set off tomorrow morning, so it would be a blunder if we missed today's shopping. Please, let us go in. We will buy a few medicines and immediately leave."
"It's no good to talk back to adults, alright? Just go back."
"How about we let the destiny decide?"
"Hmm?"
Vayve took out his coin, then with his new ability to control that coin toss, he proposed a game which was sounding like it was based on a luck, but not really! The young lady sighed as Vayve was pressing, so letting the destiny truly decide the things, she agreed.
As a coin descended onto his palm, Vayve covered it quickly, then locked his eyes on the young lady! She was speaking as if an adult, but her appearance was roughly around fifteen years old. Nevertheless, against Vayve and his friends, she was truly older.
"Heads."
"Alright, so it's Tails for me."
Vayve let out that confident smile, then his hand went up exposing the side of a coin that he had chosen. In the end, the three brats stepped onto the medicine shop where an old lady was looking over something.
Though no one really paid attention to her as Yuna and Markas were looking over medicines which didn't look bad at all.
The price was also affordable.
Then, Vayve had an attention of the young lady as he seemed to be the one taking the moves here. He was like a leader, standing in the middle of the group! So when he stepped forward without speaking to Yuna and Markas, the young lady instantly locked her eyes on him.
And found him just looking forward mindlessly as if struck by something.
[There is a clue somewhere within this shop related to one of your MCs.]
'!'
This was an information that stupefied Vayve... He was only eight years old now, so his plan was to find his MCs when he gathers enough strength. However, it was also quite disturbing to not know where his MCs had landed.
The information about the world was limited to the surroundings of The Waleria Kingdom and Vayve couldn't find them easily.
But looks like his system had activated with a helping message!
'My MCs... Which one?'
"What are you looking for, brat?"
"Ugh... I am just checking the prices..."
"The prices? Your eyes barely landed on the prices' tags at all. Don't lie to me."
The one who spoke was the old lady! She stopped looking over something, then found Vayve looking over in a very suspicious way. After a while of observation, she decided to take a step forward.
It was clear that Vayve is looking for something else other than a medicines.
The potions, pills and an ointments barely entered his eyes and in fact. Furthermore, his small head was going up and down to the areas where the selling goods weren't placed at all. As an old lady blocked his side, Vayve let out a nervous laugh and spoke.
"I feel like there is something related to me."
"Hoh? And what it might be?"
"I don't know... That's why I am looking around."
"At least this time, you aren't lying. Come here, brat."
The old lady was rather experienced when it came to the talks. She could tell that Vayve decided to be honest and so, she brought him up to the desk where there was a bill which was surely unique. It had its value described in a middle with a strange letters around.
For a while, Vayve thought he is looking at something similar to the magic scroll.
"Is this it?"
"No, it's not."
"Hmpf... What a pity then."
"Does Mrs not know the origins of that bill?"
"I know nothing."
Vayve looked at the bill, then realized that a money magic system might help him here! This is a money after all. In his life, he had seen a normal bills, but there was barely any effect. If this is an old bill from an ancient times or something like that, then a new ability might be born!
Or a new effects.
Though it's not what Vayve hoped to learn right now, he asked an old lady whether he can touch it and suprisingly enough, she didn't refuse him. Of course, her eyes were narrowed when Vayve reached out for that bill.
