Chapter 11 - MC should push his luck! Push and push it!

[What kind of MC do you want to be?]

Vayve looked at the message which was a question that he asked himself a few times.

It's known that there are a lot of paths for MC that either turn him bad or good! Such paths can intertwine a lot as the story progress causing MC to truly change a lot as he either kills innocent or spares 'the worst' guys.

So what kind of MC Vayve wants to be?

It's either simple - the one who ends up with a nice life at the end.

His goal is to grow up strong and he knows how the chaotic world works, Vayve knew that he has to kill sooner or later... It will be surely a scary thing-

[Kill the bandits.]

As he grows strong enough, Vayve plans to meet his MCs and make sure they are all happy. In the process, Vayve will build a strong foundation for himself and have that nice life...

[Kill the bandits.]

The message from the system was pretty scary which interrupted the thoughts of the young man! Vayve was just thinking how frightening the killing is and now, he got that quest to kill the bandits...

Of course, the main quest - to became a mc - surely is going to be accompanied by the mini quests that will help him grow. The gain of the new abilities and now, the quests - Vayve was that MC who had to face everything.

'Alright, I must do it... If I kill the bandits, the reward surely is going to be a good one.'

As a young mage, Vayve has a limited amount of magic within his body. The quest should help him raise his magic or maybe raise his other stats... He is that MC, so everything will work on him! Maybe the luck itself will get raised.

Speaking of a luck.

"We must kill the bandits."

"I know, young master!"

"The carraige is protected by magic scrolls, but keep focusing on the defense. Once the number of bandits falls, we will go out and fight."

"Young master! But this is too dangerous..."

"Don't... talk back..."

As someone who was that loner, Vayve found it hard to 'order', but in this current situation, his lips slowly muttered that order to not question his words. The maid looked at her young master with wide eyes, then complied as it looked like her young master has a plan.

He might be weak and young, so she believed that Miss Ranria had given something strong enough to keep the whole situation under their control!

The maid herself had a strong sword with was soaked in a magic to help her 'sword intent' get stronger.

But for now, she was focusing on the defensive, thus, her hands were going around to keep providing the magic scrolls with enough resources.

While his maid was all on defensive, Vayve tossed his coin.

Lucky Toss!

In the meantime, he was thinking about a luck itself.

As a MC, his luck should be helping him and provide at least something which would make the whole situation an easier one. Even so, within his mind, Vayve thought about few effects that surely will help him deal with this situation.

'Heads...'

However, the luck was already disappointing him!

The first lucky toss failed and Vayve couldn't get any special effect. He bit his lips, then tossed the coin yet again. Each Lucky Toss costs him a magic and Vayve could tell it much. He knew that it would be too wasteful to toss it many times.

'Heads... Good!'

[Your coin gets 'An eye' effect'.]

This effect also got explained slowly after. In short, the coin would become an eye with would be his additional eye to scout the surroundings. Vayve was thinking about it too when he was tossing the coin.

It looks like he can control his luck a little.

'I should see how many bandits are out there.'

They were surrounded by them and pinned in an one place... The bandits surely aren't hiding, on the contrary, they are all exposed while throwing everything straight at them! That's why, Vayve did his best to take out that small hand of his out of the carriage to throw the coin up!

He even used his coin toss as if trying to strike the heavens!

Thanks to his usage of two abilities, Vayve threw the coin high enough to get a proper look at the bandits. It was strong and floated for a while up above, so his mind registered everything neatly. Looks like his mind was also stronger after becoming a MC trainee.

[Kill the bandits - 0/21]

Furthermore, his progress was neatly recorded as well. The quest got updated and so Vayve didn't really have to count at all.

The bandits were as disgusting as he imagined them to be. His body also shuddered a little, but it was only a little as he set up that path already! The path to reach the power!

'If I kill one... there is a chance they will... scatter... No, they will scatter for sure.'

Lucky Toss!

Vayve needed more effects... He hoped for an effect that would double his coins or even multiply them more... He just needed to push his luck to the limits here and as a MC, Vayve believed he has a right to believe in such luck.

And push it and push it.

As if pushing something else.

'Heads... Please, give me power to multiply-'

[Your coin gets 'a bounce' effect.]

It was not exactly what he wanted, but Vayve still smiled widely! It was an effect that relies even more on a luck than a multiply one! Wasn't it actually a better effect?! His heart calmed a little which caused Vayve to lean more towards that feeling of a power.

He was so young, but powerful.

And unlike his past self, his efforts were rewarded rather on the spot or at least after a few tries...

'Time to kill...'

Vayve slowly moved with his coin being clenched tightly.
