Chapter 4 - Devil That Stole My Heart.

Escorting me was Sir Knight, Nigill von Ester. The youngest Senior knight in the Empire. At the age of 7, he was conscripted, as the age of 9 he was the first one of is batch to be appointed captain. At age of 10, he was a captain in the royal forces.

He had a reddish brown hair, with blue eyes, that seemed to glitter under the sun. He had an air of playfulness, and naturally curved lips, as if a smile never left his lips.

He was wearing his knight uniform, but it didn't diminish any of his charms. It made him look mature, instead.

I was told he pledged alligance not to the Emperor, but to one of his children. That even the Emperor can't do anything to make him leave that person. It's told that anyone who could get his loyalty was a guaranteed contender to the throne. What made him scary wasn't just his talent, it was his possibilities.

Knights always valued loyalty, and looked up to their idols with fervor. I heard there was even a fan meeting for him already. That much power since the age of ten, makes me shiver involuntary.

We kept walking for a long time, enough for an incense to burn. But we just keep walking towards desolate places. I slowly got anxious, maybe they wanted me dead. How could I protect myself? . Then I suddenly cooled down. If they wanted my life, there'd be no need for such a farce, I'd be dead a hundred times by now. After taking a deep breath to stabilize my heart I noticed a glance with a hint of appreciation and a small smile on Sir Nigill's face.

Sometime in the future, I'd learn to never believe in that smile of his. Alas, I didn't have any idea.

We reached a detached area, surrounded by a forest like greenery covering about 500 meters in a circular shape. In the middle was a white, 2 story victorian villa. With a water fountain in the front yard. It was beautiful, except for the lack of maintenance that makes it looks uninhibited .

"This is left this way on purpose, don't touch it. Even if that old geezer asked you to. This is miss territory, even he can't touch it." said Sir Nigill with a smug smile, but I felt a threat laced between his words . That was when it hit me, the "old geezer" is the Emperor. Is this OK? Won't my head fly?.

We continued into the building, I noticed that unlike the outside and the reception room, the rest is maintained fashionably and extravagantly. This is what low-key extravagance means.

While I was astounded by the beauty of it all, Sir Nigill laughed a little, with helplessness saying "the design and colors are all chosen by master. It's either beige, purple gold or baby blue. It's a miracle if you find any other color in this place ". Nodding my head, I followed Sir Nigill to the second floor, the last room in the corridor was slightly left open. After knocking Sir Nigill walked me in, in there by the window, sitting on the recliner while reading some book , was the devil that took my heart away.

I stood at the door, gaping at the beauty in front of me. It's more appropriate to Cale it "cute". That silver hair, pale skin, cute chubby red cheeks and.. Red eyes. Those eyes shinning like the most expensive rubies, yet as if the light rotate within them, took my breath away.

"beautiful.. No.. No.. That's a blasphemy, it's too little, is there any word more I can describe with.. My language have failed me for the first time.. Ah", at first I was furious, who'd be crazy enough to disturb the silence in here, then I noticed, it was me.
