Silas's POV:
When I pulled up at Rei Suoh's castle, he was waiting with a few servants for me. He gave me a bright smile, a welcoming one. "Rosario Silas, It's a pleasure to see you here at my castle. Your fledgling Charles arrived a few hours ago with his mate Pierre. I sent them off to their rooms for the day, dawns approaching. I hope you found what you were looking for. Let me lead you to your sleeping quarters for the day." Suoh's castle wasn't exactly a castle. It was more of a modern Japanese house that was a couple of stories high and blocked the sun completely from entering it. The garage was the first story. Suoh didn't have servants living with him, instead they lived nearby him in apartments. He did have a castle once but he wanted to live modern instead of mid-ages. Everything in his castle was up to date, brand new and within the three year range of new. Rei was in a black kimono with red flowers on it. His hair was grown out to knee length and was a dark black. His eyes glowed of a forest green. He was actually one of the friendliest members on the council and rarely showed up to meetings since he lived like he did, making sure he was hip with the human community. His garage had imported European sports cars inside that looked like they never got used. There was a landed dock on the top of his house for his helicopters that would take him to the air port or elsewhere. I heard he could pilot it and preferred to do it instead of a servant. He was very independent for a king. I even heard some rumors he could walk with the humans during the day, that's why he was so vague about being in council meetings with the rest of us night walkers. I smiled at him and nodded.
"Yes, thank you for receiving my fledglings and me," I told him politely, walking up and shaking his hand. "Your help was very much appreciated as well." I looked back at Laurence and saw that Toru had woken up from the movements and was watching us with interest with his furry little body curled up in his kimono he had transformed out of.
"It's a pleasure having company," he mused as he lead us into his modern home. There was a huge fountain with koi fish inside as we walked into a night room. A TV and couches were placed off to the side. He lead us past it and into an elevator where he took us up to a hall on the fourth floor. He lead us down it and stopped at a door. "This is where Charles and Pierre are rooming." He pointed to a door across from it. "That's where you'll be rooming, Rosario." He walked down the hall a bit and to the next set of doors. "This is where you'll be rooming Laurence," he pointed at the right. "You'll be to the left- Toru." He turned to us. "There is a hot spring out back, but if you don't want to use it then you may use the restrooms attached to your rooms. I'll have maids deliver bottles of blood to your doors as soon as it's dusk." I nodded and watched as Toru jumped down from Laurence's arms and shifted back, keeping his kimono wrapped around him and slipped it on properly before he smiled at the king kindly and then went into his room quickly, escaping us. I smirked and then looked at the king.
"Thank you. I'll see you tomorrow night then," I purred and gave him a small bow to be polite to his culture. "Good day~" Laurence gave a grateful smile before he disappeared into his room.
"Good day, Rosario." Rei purred towards me and started off down the hall. I watched him go then went into my room, closing the door behind me. I sighed softly as I looked around the great room then purred, walking over to the closet where my things had already been put up. I grabbed a pair of pajamas and set them in the bathroom before I stripped, took a shower, got dressed, then climbed into bed. How awesome it is I'm in Japan.... I smiled and curled up. You know... I think... I'll cheat Lyle into a vacation just a bit and lengthen this out. I want to see more of Japan before I leave. I'll just have us go to a hotel so the king doesn't get too suspicious of us staying here longer than agreed. I'd hate to be rude to him by doing that... and I'd rather him not report to my brother that I'm still here with the job done. I'll go check out a theater too! I laughed and then smiled, closing my eyes. This is going to be great!
~~~
I woke up as soon as it was dusk, my instincts kicking in naturally even with the time difference. I got to my feet swiftly and snatched my phone up from my nightstand with a smirk before I went to my closet and picked out one of my favorite shirts: my Tokyo Ghoul t-shirt. I grabbed my Black Butler belt then put on some black jeans, getting my outfit together and finished it all off with converse. I walked into my bathroom and brushed my teeth, getting my fangs good then brushed my hair out and smirked, looking myself in the mirror. Today starts an amazing secret vacation! First, I'll distract Charles and Pierre by sending them on another date.... Then I think I'll have Laurence take Toru to a park to explore or something. Both fledglings have my number.... I could easily go exploring by myself tonight. I thought it over then frowned. No... I'd need to take Laurence with me. It'd be irresponsible of myself to leave Laurence in a park at such a young age... and with a demon after him. I walked out of the bathroom and poked my head out into the hall, glancing around to see if I could sneak my way down to the garage and to my cars. Laurence was waiting by his door, smirking as he watched me stick my head out.
"Well good night!" He shouted. He had already gotten dressed and cleaned up. I could see a servant with a tray of bottled blood coming our way from the elevator. I laughed and came out. Caught.
"You're coming with me," I purred and walked up to him. "Get Toru too." I looked towards the servant as she walked up and smiled. "Thank you," I told her and took one, handing it to my fledgling first before I got myself one and started to sip on it. I glanced at the servant and smiled. "Hey, do you mind telling the king that I took my fledgling out for the night? I thought he could use some showing around town." More like I'M GOING AROUND TOWN! YEEESSSSSSS!
"He wanted to see you though in the night room," she told me as she came up with the tray. "Perhaps you could tell him yourself. He's downstairs right now." I frowned. Darn it.
"Okay," I told her and faked a smile. NOOOOOO! THE ANIME! IT'S SO CLOSE BUT YET SO FAR! I finished up my bottle of blood and looked at Laurence. "I'll be back," I whispered to him then sighed, starting for the elevator to go down to the night room. It didn't take me long to find it again, and I knocked on the door before entering, not wanting to be rude. He smiled as he sat on the couch, sipping on hot tea. He had a whole coffee table full of sushi. He gestured for me to sit beside him. There was a piano piece playing in the background.
"Rosario! So good to see you. Come sit." He poured me a cup of tea then. "I've been wanting to have some alone time with you. King to king." I frowned slightly. Yeah... I'll have to kiss the anime goodbye for today. CRAP! I took a deep breath and then walked into the room, shutting the door behind me as I walked up and sat down.
"King to king?" I asked him softly as I took the cup of tea he gave me.
"Of course. I overheard you've started to calm the resistance with your choice in how to get cheaper blood across. I was thinking about doing that over here actually." He said calmly and gave me a sweet smile. "Are you sure you have to leave tonight? I don't mind you staying long to see my country. Just as long as we have out conversations before you go out on the town. I enjoy having company over." Well damn... I'm invited to stay. TAKE IT SILAS!
"Well..." I said, trying my best to fake reluctance. "I really should be getting back... but I don't mind staying. It is Japan after all. I haven't been able to explore this myself. Yeah, I'll stay," I told him and smiled. "It can't be for too long though or else my brother will get upset and not cover for me again." I took a sip of the tea and then purred happily. I'm in paradise!
"I'll just have to tell him I made you stay for important matters," he winked at me. I smirked at him then.
"Thank you," I purred and then took another sip of the tea. "This is really good," I whispered, looking at it then at him. "So~ Did you have something you wanted to ask me about in particular, or is this just a friendly chat?" I asked curiously.
"Just as friends." He gave me an adoring look before taking chopsticks and taking a roll of sushi and started to eat it after dunking it into soy sauce. "Would you like to explore with me tonight? I can show you the best places to go. You can leave your fledglings alone together." I watched him, debating. My fledglings might rip each other's throats out... buuuuut... it's not everyday that I might get the chance to explore with the Japanese king in his homeland.
"Sure." I smiled at him then took a sip of my tea. "I'll explore with you tonight. I'm sure my fledglings will be alright here by themselves."
"Do you like sushi? You can have some," he purred in delight. I watched him then nodded, giving a huge smile.
"Yeah, thanks," I told him happily and picked up a pair of chopsticks, joining him. I moaned slightly as I got a taste and purred. This is so good! It's so much better than any sushi that the servants at home have made me! This trip is going to spoil me.... I'll never want to stay at home if this continues. He laughed and looked at me in amusement.
"I made them myself," he told me. "Do you really enjoy them that much?" I blushed slightly. He made them himself? He's a really good cook.... I nodded and then swallowed the sushi.
"Yeah... I've never had anything like it," I told him softly. "It's so much better than what I can have back at my castle."
"Thank you," he purred. "Hopefully this will make you visit often." I blushed. Visit often? Does that matter to him?
"Well... I have a lot of work at home to do," I told him and smiled. "I don't think I will be able to visit often." I barely know you too.... This is like... one of the first real conversations I've had with him. "Being a king is demanding." I laughed and shook my head.
"We are kings, yes. Don't forget to treat yourself though every once in a while. You're king, not a slave." He took another bite from his meal. "That's why I don't go to every council meeting. I'm not needed there every time, now am I? Your brother could have told you what I just told you. Take some time to relax. You have two fledglings, raise them instead of a kingdom that barely know your name or appearance. In the end, your fledgling will jump in front of danger for you faster than a kingdom will." I frowned as I listened to him and nodded then took a sip of my tea. I can't just abandon all of it though.... Everyone is so demanding for me.
"I'll try to do what you said," I mumbled. "It doesn't help when I get hundreds of letters all over my desk." I got another piece of sushi and ate it, smiling happily. "I can see your point though. I'd much rather spend time with my fledglings than doing all that desk work constantly." I purred and then leaned back into the couch, relaxing as I glanced towards the koi fish pond, being reminded of that garden I made for Lyle back at home. It was so pretty when I had finished too.... I smiled and crossed my legs, taking a sip of my tea. "So... what do you normally do?" I asked him and smirked slightly.
"Normally?" He asked and laughed. I caught his scent then as the tea allowed me access past its aroma to smell him. He definitely smelled like the sun, his skin was very pale though. His scent smelled like cherry blossoms and lavender. He went to eat another bite, thinking carefully about what to say. "Well I suppose I spend my time in the hot springs in my free time away from the town life. I try to stay as humanly updated as I can." I nodded as I watched him in interest. A day walker? I guess the stories were true. I smiled.
"Sounds relaxing," I purred and took another bite of my sushi. He seems like he enjoys this life well enough... not going to the meetings as much as I do. It suits him a lot better. I don't think I could see someone like him being stressed out over work and constantly doing things instead of enjoying life. He doesn't seem like that kind of person at all... at least not from what I've seen so far of him. I glanced him over then looked away, eating another piece of sushi.
"You should try it sometime," he teased and started to sip his tea, slurping it up casually. I caught another luring scent as I kept looking into his sun-kissed scent. I glanced at him again curiously and then did my best to ignore it. I shouldn't be smelling another king like this. If I get hungry and bite him, I'll get into a lot of trouble. I stared my tea down and took another sip of it, doing my best to smell the tea, not him. His scent seemed to be calling out to my instincts though as my nostrils refused to quit picking up on the seductive scent. I frowned and then glanced at him. No... I need to get away from his scent before I try biting him. That would NOT go over well. I smiled and then sat my cup of tea down, going towards the koi pond to do my best to get away from him as my fangs started to ache slightly. Crap... crap... crap.... I just ate! Why?! I kept my back turned to him, refusing to look his way as I did my best to focus on the koi swimming lazily around his pond. I could feel my body shake from being pulled away from the luring scent, practically screaming for me to turn around. I could hear him enjoying his sushi, not turning from what he was doing to watch me. I whimpered and knelt down beside the koi pond, staring at the fish. Please... please stop.... What is wrong with me?! He doesn't smell that good.... He can't smell that good! I shouldn't have my entire body begging to go over there! Why aren't the fish interesting enough?! I love koi! Why is my body acting weird?! I felt my body break down into depression as I tried to focus away from the beautiful scent. I heard him stand up then and come towards me with his tea. "I love a koi pond, don't you?" He asked me as he stopped right next to me. I trembled a little as I refused to look up at him.
"Y-yeah, koi are really pretty," I said, barely getting it out. I clenched my hands against my legs and tried to watch the pretty black and white one, hoping that if I focused on one only, it'd stop... but I caught myself glancing towards where he was standing out of the corner of my eyes in seconds. Why'd he have to come over here?! He watched me and then touched my back.
"Are you okay?" He asked and rubbed my back to sooth me. "You look strained." I blushed a little and tried to ignore him, but I couldn't help it. I looked up at him then and found myself gently grabbing his hand away from my back as I stood up. My fangs exposed instinctively from all the aching, making my crystal pulse. Oh my lord... I'm going to bite him... and I have almost no control over myself! "Rosario?" He asked me and gave a concerned look. I yelped and quickly let go of his hand, putting my hand over my mouth.
"I'm so sorry," I told him quickly, snapping away from trying to bite him. I backed up and tore my eyes away from him.
"Do you need more blood?" He asked and laughed softly, trying to take this on the light side. I nodded, deciding to just go with that. Maybe it'd make it stop.
"Y-yeah," I told him and unsharpened my fangs, lowering my hand away from my mouth as I looked at my feet. What is wrong with me?! I almost bit our host! Plus he's a king! I'd be murdered when I get home by Lyle! Then the council might rip my fangs out for it when Lyle is through with me!
"Would you like to drink from me?" He asked. I blushed and went to shake my head no, fighting a yes.
"N-y... N... No," I whispered with great difficulty. "I... I'll be fine...." No I won't. I'm going to die.
"Rosario, I just offered myself to you." He exposed his neck then. "Go ahead." I blushed and felt myself being drawn to it. I closed the space between us in a few seconds, my fangs exposing instinctively before I bit down into him. He pulled me closer to his body, being somehow dominate as he made sure to feed me. I felt my stone pulse as I got a taste and I moaned a little, wrapping my arms around him longingly as I drank from him. It felt so good... so right to be drinking from him. I closed my eyes happily and purred, about to pull my fangs out of him but accidentally released my venom into him before I could. I felt him melting against me and letting out a small moan. Oh man... I blushed slightly and pulled my fangs out. I marked him.... I looked at his neck hungrily before I started to suck on the wound for more, purring slightly in his ear. I felt him gripping my shirt as he struggled to stand back on his feet alone. I blushed and then pulled away from his neck, forcing myself to stop as I led him back to the couch and helped him sit down.
"I'm sorry," I whispered in embarrassment. "I shouldn't have marked you... or taken so much." I blushed as I looked at him then sat down a little ways on the couch, giving him some space. He rubbed his neck and looked towards me.
"I can't believe you marked me," he told me and sat his empty tea cup down on the table. He picked up his chopsticks and got a bite of sushi quickly. "You shouldn't be upset though." I blushed and looked away from him, crossing my legs. This is not going to look good if he goes to the council with my mark on him.... Maybe I can transfer it to Laurence. He wouldn't mind, right? Or Charles.... Pierre would remark him. I sighed softly.
"I'll give my mark to Charles so you don't have to worry about my mark staying on you. Pierre will remark Charles anyways," I whispered, looking back towards him. I have no clue why I couldn't control myself.... That shouldn't have happened. I have more control than that.
"Silas, don't go through too much trouble trying to get the mark off. I don't mind." He leaned across the couch then and pushed a bite of sushi into my mouth. I yelped then blushed at him, eating it. Did he just... shush me with sushi? I nodded at him slowly before I began to relax and swallowed it.
Okay," I whispered and then gave him a smile. I purred slightly and then sighed. "As long as you don't mind...." Eh... what's the council going to do? If they ripped out my fangs, there would be hell to pay and they know it. After all, I'm the only one on the council who's been able to quell the resistance as much as I have in the ways I have- mostly peaceful. I'd kick their asses. I smirked a little then picked up my tea and finished it off. I sat it back down then looked at him. "Are you feeling alright?" I asked softly, watching him closely. "I didn't take too much, did I? You could have some back if you need it," I told him, giving a kind smile as I exposed my neck slightly towards him. "After all, you let me feed from you. It'd only be fair."
"No, it's fine. I'll replenish my blood." He got another bite of sushi, eating it with a slight moan. I almost felt turned on as he let the moan slip out. I blushed and nodded as I started to play with my hair, trying to distract myself again. Is he teasing me? Or is he doing this without- No, he doesn't know that I'm fighting a huge battle over here. I tried to relax, crossing my legs. He looked at the sushi before sighing.
"I think it's time to go out tonight before I eat all of this and we have no room for fun and games tonight." He stood up and held out his hand for mine. "Shall we go?" I looked towards his hand before I hesitantly took it and got to my feet.
"Sure," I whispered weakly and let him lead me to the garage as I watched him. I hope I don't lose it... not again. He took me down to the garage and ran his fingers across one of his yellow sports cars before getting in. He kept his keys inside it, ready to be operated at any time needed. He waited for me to get in before he drove us off to Tokyo. Our night on the town.
After a few hours, I convinced him to take me to the anime theater, practically dragging him inside. "I'll pay for both of us, my treat," I purred to him happily as I held back a laugh, holding onto his hand tightly as I dragged him in. "Anime~" I'd kill for anime. He laughed and followed me in.
"Which is your favorite?" He asked. "You little geek." I frowned. Did he just call me a geek? I narrowed my eyes slightly.
"Black Butler," I admitted. "We're seeing the Book of Atlantic," I told him firmly as I took him up to the counter, got our tickets, popcorn, and drinks. I purred happily as I practically abandoned him then, racing off to go find the theater room without holding his hand to drag him this time. BASSY! I'm coming! I laughed excitedly. He followed after me, already eating his popcorn. I glanced back at him as I reached the door then held back from going in, waiting on him. I opened the door for him when he reached me and then smiled. "Wanna pick our seats?" I purred. He walked in and took us to the very back wall, sitting down dead in the middle and started to sip on his drink casually. I followed him and sat down beside him, putting my drink in the cup holder then ate a little of my popcorn. I smiled happily and looked at him. "Thanks," I whispered to him under my breath then gave a soft sigh as I rubbed my neck. I curled up and started to watch the commercials playing. He gave me a cute smile as he continued to eat his popcorn in amusement. I blushed slightly and glanced at him before I looked back at the screen as it started.
~Time Skip~
"That. Was. Amazing," I said, wide eyed as I walked out of the theater with him. I looked over at him and then laughed. "Oh my lord, it was great!" I hugged him then in my happiness and purred. "Thank you so much for taking me! I wouldn't have been able to find that near my home at all except for much later!" I laughed and pulled back, looking him in the eyes. "I must seem like such an otaku~" I smiled nervously then and rubbed the back of my neck, watching him.
"I don't mind as much though," he purred. "I like anime." He let out a small purr towards me. I laughed and then nodded.
"That's great~ I'd hate to have dragged you in there and you hate it the whole time." I smiled and took his hand in mine. Is it just me, or does it feel a bit warm outside? I blushed and felt my hand giving his a small squeeze subconsciously. He laughed and pulled me closer, slipping his arm around me.
"Let's go to a bar," he suggested. "You'll like it. We can drink Saki." I looked at him then nodded, a small purr rising in me from being closer to him. Maybe he's just extremely... likable? I smiled and relaxed, letting him take me to the car. This will be fun~
"Saki huh?" I teased and then leaned against him a little. I looked towards him and purred, holding the hand that was wrapped around me. "Is it your favorite or is it just because you want to show me Japan?" Either would be really cool! Japan is amazing! It's my entire dream! I'll be depressed when I have to go back home where work is waiting for me- probably already pilled up. I sighed softly and leaned my head against his shoulder, loving feeling so close to him even though it shouldn't be that way. It's just something about him... something that's drawing me in. I wonder if he gets this a lot from people around him. He smells so good that vampires would probably love hanging around him, and he's fun so he's got that too, plus he's easy to get along with. Most other kings would've been mad that I marked them like that. I purred as I caught his scent again and felt my body relaxing as it got a little closer to him when we got to the car.
"Both," he told me and gave a playful smile. "I'm sure you're going crazy with the idea of trying it though." He pulled me into a tight hug. "I might manage to get you to never want to return to your castle by the end of the night." I blushed and looked at him.
"Why would you do that?" I asked innocently. Does it matter if I want to go home or not?
"I'm just teasing you," he told me and let me go. "I'm still getting you drunk though." I watched him and nodded.
"Okay," I purred. "Let's go then~" I got into the car, shutting the door behind me as I buckled up. He's a little strange... but he's fun. I laughed and watched him walking around the car to get in. Once he got in, he turned some music on and K-POP started playing. His eyes shifted to two cops that were watching us from a police box. "They're wondering where I got this beauty from," he mumbled and laughed before bringing his sports car to life and left the street, taking us to a new one that had a bar on it.
