Chapter 19 - Cap 19 - Mage (Day Starts Happy and Ends Sad)

Tristan spent the whole night with a smile on his face, that was one of the best nights he already ever had. The truth is that in the face of a new world of possibilities, it is natural for men to feel anxious, if the young magician had not lost so much blood that day, it would be very likely that he would spend the whole night without being able to sleep. For the young magician, this could be the last night he would be able to sleep so peacefully, so Tristan was right to enjoy every moment. Tristan had a very heavy sleep, even if a dragon go down destroying everything, he would still rest quietly. During a war, with booms and the sound of battle hammering in everyone's heads, it would be quite capable of Tristan to sleep peacefully and then return as if nothing had happened. Because of this, the young magician did not notice the curious fact that happened during that night.

The newly acquired magical artifact began to turn the pages, without any external force compelling it to do that, when it reached the center of the book, a reddish light began to emanate from the free which floated on to where the young boy slept heavily with great snores. Being positioned high above the young magician, an eight trigram seal began to form and small red threads connected the book to Tristan. Luminous streams went from the boy to the book and from the book to the boy, as time passed, the light shined less and less. The seal of eight trigrams was undone and the book curiously returned to the place that the young magician had left. A few moments ago, the boy's breathing had changed, his body was breathing heavily and sweat broke out on his face. Even though his body was violated in this way, it did not cause the magician to open his eyes even a little, now, after the whole ritual was over, Tristan returned to the same position he had before, breathing unevenly and snoring very loudly, to the point of disturbing a certain black book on his desk.

As soon as the first rays of sunlight passed through the windows, the boy stood up, felt the heavy body first, then a terrible hunger fell on his stomach. The noise his belly was making a loud enough to wake the entire Arcadia Academy. Tristan washed his face with the water pouring it into the basin in his room, then went to get dressed. He took the black book, parchment, ink, and quill and went straight to the kitchen. People who knew Tristan, seeing the expression on his face, could not associate with the thin boy who lived in the corners. His mood was so high that he started to sing a happy song, "The greedy old Dragon". He sang the parts he knew and the parts he couldn't remember he humming or whistling.

"A treasure to be guarded / Fire and death is the north Wisdom of many / Foolishness of all Poor maiden trapped / Gold can deceive Your treacherous desire / Master of many secrets Ancient magic is on him / Everything the old dragon wants It's sleeping for a thousand more / Yes, he just wants to sleep. "

Tristan laughed, sang, he whistled and hummed everything at the same time; his lack of attention was so great that he almost fell off several flights of stairs that would lead him to spend at least half a full lunar cycle in the healing wing. After practically skipping to the kitchen, the young magician went on to his usual place. Irma always left a nice meal for the boy, she never understood why he was so thin since the boy was practically a little monster eating. Tristan always replied to the cooker that all the food she gave him went to his head. Irma was for Tristan, the closest figure to a mother, since he had been brought to the castle when he was a baby, she was the one who took care of him. For this reason, of all the people of that place that he most respected will always be Irma.

When Tristan sat on his little table, a great banquet had already been prepared. The kitchen was more bustling than usual, but Tristan decided not to pay much attention. They had several peeled fruits, hard-boiled eggs, fresh pieces of bread, different types of cake, and goat cheese. All food was devoured in the blink of an eye, on that particular day Tristan was so hungry that he couldn't even breathe between bites, seeing all that Irma couldn't let surprised by Tristan's posture. The young magician indeed ate the amount of food of an adult man, but he always ate very politely. But a dog competing for a piece of bone seemed more polite than Tristan. Then, Irma replenished more food for the young magician, who tried to utter the word, "thank you", between bites of food.

After eating everything, Tristan headed for the room where he would have his first advanced herbology class. The corridors of the Academy were in an uproar, the presence of three holy wizards in Arcadia meant that all students had no other subject to talk about. Upon hearing that subject, Tristan could not hide his face in embarrassment when he remembered that the night before he had bumped into Astriel. When the magician finished remembering what had happened the night before, a person close to him started to comment with friends about what happened.

-Did you hear that someone bumped into Director Deveron yesterday? -Everyone made scared expressions, no one dared to laugh at something so serious, the girl who had spoken displayed an insignia that showed she was in the fourth solar cycle of her studies. -I don't know what a miracle he wasn't blown up.

-This can't happen, the person would be turned to dust in the same instant. -Now a boy who was in the fifth solar cycle of studies commented in a lower tone.

-Guys, stop talking about it. Director Deveron scares me a lot ... -The third person in the conversation spoke almost whispering. -We don't know how far it extends to the power of a holy magician, he may be monitoring our conversation just by speaking his name!

The conversations didn't change, for Tristan it was just more of the same, just before the bells rang he stole into the room snuggled up on a small table that was in the farthest corner from the other people as possible. It was when the herbology professor came into the room with a worried face, something started to bother Tristan, that due to the succession of events he was ready for the worst. Only when the last student entered the room did the teacher go to the pedestal from which he taught his classes and spoke in a very hoarse voice.

-All of today's classes have been suspended, by the order of director Astriel Deveron. -When listening to those words, everyone was startled. Before starting an uproar the teacher continued. –Due to an urgent matter, all teachers were summoned to participate in a meeting with the three holy wizards. The orders are that all students must return to their quarters and await a statement from the academy. Anyone caught wandering the halls before the bells strike will be severely punished. And listen well when I speak the word severely. Now go!

{Hi guys, it's me, that on who knows everything! I tried to be more diligent in this chapter. I realized that I was making a lot of mistakes, I tried to speed things up and it was not beneficial. But it's hard to write in my language, translate into English, edit in my language and then edit in English! I get tired just thinking, so, valuing the quality I will try to go more calmly. I broke my record that week and wrote over thirty thousand words, I wish you had enough things to read... I think Adorin is going too fast. I will try to publish one chapter a day from now on. If there are errors, please point. As I am not a native English speaker, sometimes what makes sense in my language is expressed differently in English. Have a good weekend. I intend to rest in Adorin, see you there!}
