Chapter 20 - Cap 20 - Holy Knight (The man in black saves the day)

Dylan needed to be quick from that moment, he climbed on top of the Tiger and with the flow of magic concentrated on his fingers he reestablished the Snow Tiger synapses that could now move freely. Dylan asked him to give the potion no more than a lick. For the big feline that was more than enough, after having followed Dylan's orders, still suspicious, the big beast saw what the boy meant. It was as if suddenly the concept of pain could no longer be applied to it. That feeling was restorative, when Dylan saw that the Tiger was making too many unnecessary movements, he warned.

-The pain may be over, but the danger's not. -Dylan was very objective, he was trying your best to keep his conscience. Something told him that later, he was going to have to fight death. -The poison is still in your body and you still have several lacerations in your leg. The previous fight caused the poison to spread to various parts of your body, as you lost a lot of blood, your blood pressure dropped and your heart rate too and this caused a smaller amount of your blood to reach your heart, so the damage was minor. Now we need to find a place for you to be safe for a week, without being able to move.

While Dylan prepared the second part of the medicine, the Tiger rested its big head on the crossed legs, it did not miss a movement that Dylan made. First the mosses were kneaded, to the point of becoming a very disgusting paste, Dylan removed it a little and applied it on his arm. The hemorrhage was stopped instantly, then he took the diamond flowers and with trembling hands started to remove the petals and throw on the moss paste, inside the flowers were small yellow balls where the pollen was found. Dylan calmly removed them and put them in a small leather bag that he had tied around his waist. That crumb was highly nutritious, and it would be enough for the tiger to have some of the nutrients it needed to get through the week. That was a knowledge that only Dylan knew, it was protocol to discard pollen from diamond flowers in the Knights Order. But Dylan takes them all for himself and eats, that's why he had managed to spend so much time in the forest without eating, hunger was not satisfied, but he kept his body nourished. All that knowledge was acquired with his mother, which knew everything about sacred plants and beasts.

After finishing the ointment, Dylan addressed the Tiger, who reacted to the boy's gaze rising. Dylan followed the huge creature that led him to the place where he was resting. It was a very dark cave that was between large rocks. When Dylan entered there, he felt the atmosphere change completely, Dylan had never been to a cold place, but if it were really that way he decided he would never want to live anywhere that had that kind of temperature. Less than ten minutes into the Tiger's cave, Dylan could already sport his purple lips and cyanotic nails. He couldn't stay there any longer time, the Tiger snuggled in the far corner of the door and the young knight was counting only on his honed skills to identify what he was doing. Through the smell he was able to identify where the Tiger's wounds were, he took the ointment deftly and applied it to the feline's wounds. Dylan noticed something, the creature's eyes were the only things that could be seen in the entire cave. It was such a beautiful light, emitting an icy blue with a big cleft in the middle. That vision made Dylan realize that he had been right to save the creature.

The holy knight left the small package with the pollen balls of the diamond flower and left it on the side of the Tiger. He prepared to leave and began to try to trace the best route to return to the Order of the holy knights. Now there was less than thirty minutes left for Dylan to lose his consciousness, he hadn't put the ointment on his wounds because it would be enough to denounce how deep in the forest of beasts he had gone. The last thing he wanted was that Alek to investigate the places where Dylan passed, if they found this creature here in the forest of beasts, the Snow Tiger would not reach adulthood. That was the reason why Dylan had erased all traces of the big feline, of course Alek's eyes could identify that something had gone wrong and could find the animal's whereabouts. But Dylan had already thought of all that.

-Eat two to three pollen balls a day. -Dylan's voice was choked. -You will feel very hungry, but they will nourish your body. You can't move a small length of stick. This first week will be the most difficult. I estimate it will take about six lunar cycles for you to fully recover. In a week I will try to come back if I can. At the latest I may take a lunar cycle to recover, I have no idea of the severity of my wounds.

-Thank you, noble human. -Tiger's voice this time made Dylan curious, it was neither imposing nor strong as he expected. For the first time Dylan found the Snow Tiger as cute as a cat. -I inflict most of these injuries on your body and yet you still helped me. I see that there is still nobility among those of your kind. I owe my life to you.

-We must only depend on ourselves to survive. We should not owe our lives to anyone, it belongs only to us. -Dylan turned and when he was leaving he shouted with the little energy he had. –Dylan, my name is Dylan Krath. -The young man did not see, but the Tiger smiled and bowed his head in respect, that was a sign that the beast considered him as an equal. And I wouldn't look at him as an inferior anymore, but the next time they met they would be on the same level.

Dylan walked as fast as he could without leaving any trace of the path he had taken. He was moving as close to the trees as possible, because there the humidity was higher and the mosses would soon cover their footprints together with the leaves that constantly fell from the trees. After running for just over ten minutes, the boy's lungs were about to explode, he was holding a large amount of blood in his mouth because he didn't want to spit anything. He was already crossing the limit of consciousness, his body couldn1t handle it anymore. The fight between the two bestial creatures had previously removed several other creatures, which was very advantageous for the dying knight who was now only counting on the will to live.

When Dylan reached just over 606 sticks in length from his training area, his body couldn't longer take any steps. He fell to his knees and all the blood he was trying to keep from escaping was spit out of his body. It was then that he took a desperate step, in these six lunar cycles he had never depended on his instructor. But now, in the midst of all despair, Dylan prayed that Alek would reach him before any other creature. Dylan stopped suppressing his presence and launched as far as he could get his aura, hoping that no creature would arrive before his instructor.

Less than a minute passed, Dylan was suddenly dropped to the floor, his eyes half closed trying to keep just that part working. It was then that a pack of gray wolf beasts appeared in front of him. This species is generally made up of six wolves, the largest being the adult alpha at its peak, which was less than half the size of the young Snow Tiger. Dylan only had time to think about how it was over, he would be devoured by wolves and the effect of the mushroom was already ending. That would be the last sensation he would ever feel. It was then that the alpha launched himself at the boy with exposed jaws. But before reaching the target, the creature's head was separated from the body. And the figure of a knight all in black appeared in front of Dylan. That was Alek, who, upon sensing the boy's presence, crossed over 1800 batons in two and a half minutes. "Damn it! He didn't even bother to draw the sword", that was Dylan's last thought before he lost consciousness, for the first time happy to be a pupil of Alek.

After losing the leader, the pack launched themselves at Alek to avenge his Leader, sacred beasts are known for their natural instinct for war and loyalty, if something is inflicted on the leader, they will not retreat even if their life is on the line. The beasts hovered around Alek and all jumped at once, aiming at parts of the Knight's body. Alek spared no effort to move from the place, when the creatures reached their target, he realized that his strong fangs were not able to enter any small stick in the knight's skin, only his clothes were damaged.

-Sorry for the death of your leader. -The instructor spoke to the creatures that had panicked and tried to gain distance. -But this is my pupil, I took his life because he would take the life of my protected. If you leave now, I will not kill you. Take our struggle as a part of the life cycle.

The creatures then moved away, the cycle of life was the ultimate law of sacred beasts. The law says that life and death depends on strength, if a creature falls into the hands of a stronger one it means that the cycle of life has been maintained. Beasts fought and died every day, also many were being born at this time. This cycle was always in constant harmony. However, humans did not respect the cycle, one does not kill for pleasure, every death has an end to feed other creatures or to protect their territory. Knights only killed creatures to prove their strength, or to tear off body parts of creatures for their own benefit. As that human knew the maximum law of the beasts, they thought that he was not just anybody and that he should be respected and avoided. Thus, the pack dispersed.

{Hi guys! It's me, that one who knows everything. It took me a long time to publish this chapter, I ended up getting sick on Saturday and I was sick until Monday. I'm trying to take it easy. I think Dylan would make a good healer, if you have hemorrhages, I don't suggest mossing, rumors that it only works on Adorin. See u!}
