Chapter 10 - THE PLAN

Hymns to calm me down.

Check,

Pebble to kick along to road to my impending doom.

Double-check,

Gang energy invested in all the right places, which are my brain and heart to steel them.

Tripple check,

Maybe I am cheating the system, and then again maybe not. If I am some kind of royal it is only right that I invested all my gang energy and experience points in my brain.

The system mentioned something about there being gemstones, and after learning about how gang energy grants one an ability I made myself gem seeking magnet. The ability involved upgrading my mind and my heart side by side. With my increased brain power I am able to scan almost everything I put my eyes on in realtime.

Gemstones define beauty and beauty captures the heart, beauty varies and such a learned man said it lies in the eyes of the beholder. By increasing the gang in my heart I am now able to appreciate even more forms of beauty than I could before. Added bonuses include bravery and a rational way of thinking.

My new rationality boosts my scanning ability and allowed me to dig up a gemstone from the wall. It also helped me discover that not all gemstones have the same ability, the one I have can make one transparent. Not invisible your outline can still be seen, so unless you an assassin great at what he does do not dare use this in a head-on fight.

Maybe I am too careful, I am someone who is always playing games and shutting themselves from reality. Due to this fact alone, people like to think that I am some kind of a coward. I just do not like unnecessary conflicts, unless I am dragged into a situation were fighting was my only way out.

Fighting and flexing my bravery is not my cup of coffee, with that logic you might think that downloading this sketchy app would be the last thing on my mind. Honestly even I am not completely sure why I did, at the moment it felt like it was calling me. Trying its hardest to devour me, my soul cried out and tried warning me.

After ignoring my own gut and having my own body change on me I started having questions about who I really. I have been alone with my mind for a while now, thinking about and learning my abilities. The deeper I went the more a presence unknown yet familiar to me attempted an escape and it scared me.

Right now as I walk deeper and deeper into this dungeon, exploring the twists and turns that all lead to possible death. The one thing I am afraid of most is myself and what lies within me. If I ask my mom would she be able to tell me about it or is it something that caused by my abnormality. Now that I think about it, our country which was usually poetically praised for its peacefulness was now dark and gritty.

Little by little I started to slow down because of the dungeon getting misty and much warmer. That was not the sole reason why I was alarmed though, it was the sudden drop and rise in the temperature. Cold breezes would come, I think about four blows before two strikes of a heatwave made me want to strip my slender body naked. It was unnatural, welp I should not be expecting anything here to be normal but still.

In the distance I could feel vibrations, these vibrations were not of the ground but of a liquid. I do not want to deceive myself and claim it as water, I am not a noob. There must have been two liquids because another thing that bothered my nose and ears was the sound of boiling water. It is physically impossible for these two bodies to exist around the same area so my senses must have been thrown off.

Prey and predator are stalking each other and the only problem at hand is the question of who is who. I sat down and concentrated with all my might, it was probably too much. Sounds that came to my ear were suction sounds, threads being let off and wrapped around something, someone no it is definitely something.

So my enemy is most likely a spider, judging by how careful yet lax it currently is I came to a few hypotheses. One, it is not alone, two it is probably booby-trapped, three I am not a threat to it, and finally four it is not expecting me to be aware of its presence.

Putting all these possible threats to me together, turning my back on my next enemy, and running away was not the best answer. First of all these spiders are titanic, surely they are now faster, stronger, and more violent than their smaller earth counterparts.

Throwing myself in a pit of 99% certain doom is also not the best answer, but it is the only one with a chance of survival. Around me is a tunnel leading towards the spider habitat. It is currently pitch black dark but I am able to see not as I would if there were lights on but enough to be aware of my surroundings.

Now that I no longer worried about the threat that I am going to face, I looked around me. Cocoons and spider webs, more and more torches. That is where my first idea of fighting back came, onward I went.

His storage armed and his mind sharpened for victory the virgin omega slowly braved his way forward. Ensuring that nothing catches him by surprise, lying within the shadows the smaller spiders (as he suspected) started to move in on him.

His body was covered with heavy armor he got from the undead he killed and there were even collected weapons all around him. His plan? The first spider attacked and was struck down with a shield, this is a six-star area so it got up.

He double-tapped a motherfucker and it stayed down, giving him his first spider item drops. They dashed him and he bolted forward, wounds were taken and scars remained. He still tore through the gang of spiders and spared no dropped item, health potions, melee weapons, and more.

Pale blue and red blood dripped from his face like it was splashed there by a desperate painter. He chucked down potions as he made his way towards the habitat. There were still more spiders coming but his weapons had worn out and he was basically barehanded, what about his plan though?

They rushed him and started tearing through him, even though within his rage he was able to muster up some strength from the void he feared it came with a cost.

After biting he swallowed and his body change, he started developing an exoskeleton and some extra limbs accompanying it. Oh how the tables had turned on the poor spiders. It all faded to black and when he opened his eyes again there was nothing to see except for his changed body. His hair was a bit blue but his emotions beat that, he had extra spider limbs that he could not control and he was freaked out.

After a small scream he decided to continue on his journey to the shelter, but what was this he was already there. His eyes scattered all over the place and everything was as expected. In front of him was the cold body of water meaning behind and a bit further down was the hot body. In front of him was the huge spider and around it was the cocoons of the unfortunate prey.

Silently Laone vowed that he would not end up like them and suddenly he chocked up. He coughed and coughed until a small piece of spider silk. Afterward his body returned to normal, his heightened senses returned to him and realized that he no longer had the original scent of a spider.

The huge spider in the room noticed this change and turned violent, the mist in the room grew thicker but it was nothing to Laone whose stats had now returned to normal.

Even though this was not what he had in mind it was still his plan coming together. Cocoons manufactured by the water spider's silk filled the room and in response to this he emptied his storage. Every movement made by either party was met with an equally offensive or a defensive one. The spider no longer looked down on the now level 12 adventure or rather King.

Over the water were bridges that were probably made to allow for fighters to have a chance against these creatures. A smile sculpted itself across Laone's face and he kicked the cocoons from his storage in front of him as he walked. The gigantic spider crawled on the ceiling towards him.

IT POUNCED! and fell victim to the gamble that Laone likes to refer to as a plan.
