Kevin and Lukz both trundle up a long winding gravel path, reaching towards a beautiful forest mansion, nestled perfectly in-between the countryside surrounding it. It's huge vertical stone walls stand strong amongst some weathered trees draping and dancing around it. Enclosing shrubs grow wild and tall, creeping their way through one another, fighting for the little sunlight which battles through its maple neighbours.
"Hmmm, I'll never get over how creepy this place is? Honestly, since Darcie's mum passed, I don't see why she even keeps it? It's soo big!" Lukz arrogantly states.
Kevin shunts him to the side, "Maybe she respects what's left of her family? Having her parent's money would never be enough to fill the void in her heart! Why do you think she always use to help us?" Kevin adds, frowning towards him.
"Yeaah, your right. She didn't exactly have it easy growing up? But, come on... this house is still sooo big!! We could make this into the English playboy mansion or something?" Lukz replies, winking.
Kevin turns away, shaking his head as Lukz drives his car around a beautiful stacked slate water feature, labelled "3 peaks.", on a worn copper plaque. They park up and hop out the car when all at once, Darcie comes flying outside, Lukz and Kevin gawk at her voluptuous curves and perfect brown locks as they drape around her petite but stunning face, all emphasized by a silky red gown, gliding with her every step.
"GUY'S! GET YOUR ASSES INSIDE, NOW!!!" She screams out, grabbing them both by the ear. "I honestly cannot believe you two!! You know the whole frikken county is after you!!"
Lukz opens his mouth, but Darcie grabs it shutting it closed while staring daggers into him, "Don't you dare try to give me some bull s**t, Lukus! Do you know what you have started!!" She screams, yanking them both inside a pristine white door.
Kevin and Lukz glance at each other, then back to Darcie, confused.
Her eye's blare open! "The whole county's police force is hunting you down, right now! But guess what... they don't want to lock you up in prison, their out for blood!!! You have started a rebellion!" She blurts out!!
"Woow Woow, we have started a what!?" Kevin asks, amazed!
"Ahhh, just look!!" she says, dragging them into her enormous living room, as she switches on the TV. It's first image shows a blaze of flames wreaking havoc through the local town!
A news reporter starts to speak, flinching in fear every time a bang or crash blurts out in the background, "Today, we have already witnessed the injustice and erratic nature of our so-called justice system! After the recent death of Senior Constable Don Bible and 25 of his on-duty officers, a complete overhaul of Christchurch police station took part last night. Two main suspects have been identified only minutes ago, One, Lukus Thead, the other is his twin brother, Kevin Thead. These two individuals are to blame for the murders of over 30 of our local law enforcement officials. Now, the others have gone on a primal rampage!! Hunting down any offender or criminal on their files. Please, for the safety of yourself and others, do everything you can too..." *SKEEEE*.
"What!! Why has it turned off!!" Kevin says, panicking.
"Probably the police shutting off the feed, so people can't see who their after?!! However, everyone already knows your faces! You're on their top ten list of wanted criminals!" Darcie screams at them.
"Wow, first things first.. you my darling are looking fine! Those extra sessions in the gym are definitely making your curves pop!" Lukz says, winking towards her.
"AHHH!", Darcie yelps with anger, threatening to slap him, yet Kevin catches her arm,
"Darcie, they have it all wrong! That's why we came to see you!"
She snarls, glaring towards them both, "Is that right?" she asks.
Lukz nods, "Yeah! Well, sort of? We were at the station, but only because Kevin said I have a horse or something stuck in my head!" he adds, confused.
"YOU WHAT!!" She bellows.
Kevin gently grabs her shoulders, sitting her down, "Right, don't listen to that imbecile... I can explain everything."
Darcie scowls towards him, then instantly turns her head to glare at Lukz, "Fine, but I'm going to need a glass of Gin from the larder, to calm me down."
"Ahh, fine! I need a few beers anyway; this whole thing is hurting my head." Lukz mumbles to himself, "you better not only have girly drinks in there!" he adds, storming off.
Kevin shakes his head as Darcie turns back towards him, crossing her arms and Legs.
"So. Why were you there!", she demands.
Kevin takes a deep breath, "Right. But first, if he's going to the larder, that's going to take him forever? It's miles away!" He says, puzzled.
"Hmm, why do you think I sent him there! He drives me up the wall.... physically and mentally!", She adds.
"Okay, okay, I don't need to know!" Kevin says, cringing his neck.
Darcie Smiles, "Stop stalling! What's this about a horse? Plus, why were you even at the station!"
"Ow yeah... right, get ready to have your mind blown. Well, first things first. We went to the station to try and find some background information on what's going on with Lukz. We got into Don's office, but got stuck, so we stayed overnight and guess what….. that idiot managed to get us in a car chase?!"
Darcie nods, "Typical? But what about this horse?" She asks.
Kevin continues, "Ahh, well while we was there, we matched that Lukz has always been creating these demons, but we couldn't work out why, until we found a theory on something being stuck in Lukz's head, which is causing a gateway to stay open, allowing these demons to pass through into our world, aka, the wooden horse?"
Darcie twitches her neck to the side, "You mean, like a Trojan Horse?!" she says, unsure.
"Yes, exactly! But there is so much more!" Kevin adds, grinning.
Darcie sit's forward, "I'm listening."
Kevin nods his head, "Okay.. As you know, Don was murdered by a creature Lukz somehow created, while we were playing death fighter!!"
Darcie's eyes blare open, "Yes, but your saying Lukz imagined this creature and poof, it was alive!!" She replies, astonished!
He nods again, "Yep! Every feature, every detail was exact! It was almost like he painted this gruelling image in his head, and it came to life!! We couldn't believe it!"
Darcie's mouth gapes open, "You never mentioned this!"
Kevin nods slowly, "I know, I'm sorry. Everything was just so hazy. However, when I was with Don, before you arrived, I laid by him and he explained how the demon was shot hundreds of times by the other officers, but each bullet just sank straight through it, not leaving a scratch! Just like every single time I tried to shoot one! I thought I always missed, but it actually proved Lukz is the only one who can kill them?!"
Darcie stays paused for a second, then speaks, "Ahhh, that explains it, you said before. So, did you find out why these things are trying to kill him?" she says, leaning further forward, as Kevin continues.
"Well, no. But when Lukz left, he did go to see Aimee, breaking the news to her about her dad. Although she was distraught, she actually ended up showing him this crazy spider diagram of some the abnormal deaths. However, these one's showed that the demons weren't always after him. It linked that these people knew Lukz in some way and were murdered for it.
"What, How!" She asks, intently.
"Well, Don was looking at those people and a correlation started to appear. Everyone who knew about Lukz's dreams, nightmares, visions, weird psychological activity, was basically on a hit list."
"people like who?" She asks, confused.
"Ermm, his psychiatrist's, mythologists, dream teachers, sleep therapists? All the professionals he got sent too after people thought he was going crazy, following our mother's death?"
"Okay, I think I am still with you, Lukz creates demons and people who studied him, knew this." She says, raising one eyebrow,
"Yeah, exactly. They all knew Lukz was linked to these creatures in one way or another, but we had no idea how? So, Aimee suggested we go and check the murder files from Don's laptop in his office.
"Ooooow. Okay, now I get it." She says, understanding. "But how did all those convicts get out?!" she adds, concerned.
"Well, guess what idiot was supposed to shut off the electric for a few minutes, but ended up sending an electrical serge through the jail, allowing all the cell gates to open! Not his best move!" Kevin says, shaking his head.
Darcie shakes hers as well, "Honestly...I.. I get lost for words?"
"I know... but we got in, found a file on his main psychiatrist Masey Lane, and guess what?!"
Darcie scowlers her eyes, "What?"
"The bi**h was trying to use Lukz's misery and suffering by turning it into a novel!" He blurts out.
Darcie grits her teeth, "How dare she!" She replies.
Kevin continues, "I know, I read through and It briefly explained how the first demon Lukz saw after our mother's death, tried to kill him, but ended up killing a boy who looks just like him?!"
"WOW!" Darcie says, leaning back.
Kevin Continues, "I know! It was exactly the same as the one he killed when he was seven! Back in the care home! That's how we realised Lukz has been creating these things all along. But obviously, he just forgot his dreams, like we all do! Plus, she explained how he even gets hurt in his night terrors, during his sleep?!"
"WHAT!" she replies.
"Yes! Crazy, right?"
Darcie nods.
Kevin continues, "We then researched his dream therapist and he explained how in his night terrors, Lukz goes into a physical state, that's why he can experience pain or suffering, just as we do when we���re awake?!"
Darcie's eyes flash open even wider! "Wait, so when Lukz has his night terrors... he's actually in pain!!" she adds, astonished!
"Yes.. I still don't fully understand how that theory works, as Aimee didn't have time to read much more? But Lukz did say it's true."
Darcie sit's still stunned in silence, then forces her words out, "th...thi... this... is just unbelievable! All this time Lukz has been dreaming about these demons and they have been entering our world to kill anyone who knew about them, as well trying to kill him!! It's mad!"
Kevin starts pacing up and down, "I know, but there is a few more things you should know..."
Darcie looks towards him.. "Like what?" she asks.
"Well, the Trojan horse. Basically, after my mum passed, a flood of demons followed in.. one after the other. Lukz started to have more and more night terrors! It was if, these gates or something had been forced open by the sheer pain he had felt through our mother's death. We came to the conclusion that something was using his broken mind as a gateway, to wreak havoc or revenge on this earth? The horrible part is.... my mother's death is the Trojan horse which keeps these gates open.
"What.. noo, that can't be right?.. can it?" Darcie says, confused.
Kevin nods, "That night she burned to death... A demon or Trojan.. was the thing that killed her! Lukz lives his life with that weight on his shoulders, as the demon which killed our mother…."
"Was the one I saw in my night terror."
Darcie and Kevin spin around to see Lukz standing there, filled with anguish and regret!
Lukz continues, "I have always known it was my fault.. I briefly saw the demon before it attacked me, but I never wanted to believe it was true! That horrible night ripped a hole in my heart and all that now pours out is pain." Lukz says, collapsing on the sofa next to Darcie, handing her a beautifully crafted gin and tonic with a mint leaf, sliced lime and round ice cubes all perfectly placed.
Lukz looks up to Kevin, "So, what's next?"
Kevin looks intently towards them both, then focuses on Darcie,
"One last super strange thing happened. Just as we were uncovering the truth, an email got sent through to Don's laptop. Explaining how if we induce Lukz into a Lucid dream, using something called, the Dot Test, then he might be able to find these gates true source? However, no one has actually re-awoken from this before, apart from two people, who are now dead." He says, grinning!
"WHAT!", She shouts! "You can't just expect me to put him under, when for one, he is the only one who can kill the Trojans? And two, he might not even wake back up!! I heal him, not bring him back to life!?" Darcie demands.
Kevin waves his hands around, "Just hear me out." he asks, softly, "This email explained that it has been done? So, it could be our only chance of stopping these things for good?" he adds.
Darcie and Lukz lean forward.
"Aren't you forgetting to say how this couple died?" Lukz says.
Kevin cringes, "Ermmm, well. This was the same couple which where chopped up into loads of pieces by Needle… the demon which also killed Don?!" He says, painfully.
Darcie leaps to her feet! "This is mad! You want me to put Lukz under a deep coma, then just hope he can wake up! Even though the only two people who could wake from this state, got slaughtered by something only Lukz could kill!!! This is mad!!" she screams.
Kevin gently sits her back down, "Well, I believe that if we put Lukz to sleep, use this lucid dream control technique, have your hands of knowledge to keep him alive, he should find this Trojan, destroy it and stop them for good!?"
Darcie turns towards Lukz, stunned and confused; she tries to speak but no words come out. Kevin steps forwards, holding her arm.
"We need to send Lukz into the deepest, darkest, repressed memory's in his head...this is where the gate will hopefully be hidden? If it's Lukz's broken mind which is allowing these demons in, then it's entrance will be in the place where he holds his most painful memory's?! Including our mother's death?" He explains, gripping her tight.
She gazes towards him, "I, I, I really am struggling to process all this crazy information. I get your idea on something using Lukz's mind as an open gateway, But the Trojan? still not sure...? She says, confused.
Kevin nods, "I know the idea is a bit farfetched, but in my mind.. for some reason, her death resembles a Trojan? It somehow allowed a flood of demons to pass through, straight after her death? Just like the Trojan horse allowing the Greek Army to flood through the gates of Troy! Anyway, I know this is a lot to take in, but we need you Darcie... He needs you!? He adds, confidently gazing towards her.
Lukz smiles with a huge grin! "Hmmm, probably allow demons to ransack and kill everyone on this earth... or stop them all together? Seems like a sketchy idea? But I'm game! Let's do this!!" he shouts, then adds, "What's first?" passing Kevin a beer.
Darcie takes a sip of her drink, then swirls it around, "Hmmm, I guess I haven't really got a choice. You're going to do this without me, so I might as well help you stay alive?" She says, regretfully.
"Sweet, Love you too babe!" Lukz calls out, blowing her a kiss.
She glares at him, rolling her eyes.
Kevin takes the beer off Lukz, tipping it forwards, "To the end of all Trojans!" He says, proudly.
"Ha, that's a sweet name for them! To the end of all Trojans!" Lukz says, tipping his beer forwards as well, followed by guzzling it back into his mouth.
Darcie slightly tips hers, "To the end of all Trojans!"
