When Chen Jingyun came back from her meeting, she didn't expect to be met with such a strange scene.
When she went back to the dorms, Luo Shao ushered her in, and looked right and left before closing the door. He looked like he was up to no good.
Something bad is going to happen.
And bad it was!
"Oh, I get it." Li Minghao suddenly said and went to close the balcony door and the curtains, while Su Long turned on the air conditioner. Only Chen Jingyun was confused and getting bad vibes.
"What's happening?" She grabbed the smiley Luo Shao by the arms as grabbing his shoulders would only emphasize how short she was.
"It is your initiation!"
"Or more like celebrating the start of our last year." Su Long added. "Don't feel so special!"
Rolling her eyes at him, Chen Jingyun made her next question.
"Then why do you have to act so sketchy?"
But nobody answered.
She then looked at Luo Shao once more. "Is it going to be something bad?"
"A tad bit illegal." Li Minghao answered for him as he took a seat. "At least for you since you are only seventeen."
And before Chen Jingyun could say it, Luo Shao ran off to his suitcase and brought out three six-packs of beer and stacked them in the table. The worst part is that it was the brand with the most alcohol percentage...
Did they plan to get wasted?
She now understood why she had a bad feeling.
"We are going to drink and play cards!" Luo Shao smiled and offered her a chair to sit in. The one beside Li Minghao. "Little Yun, we are all men here, I'm pretty sure even a shorty like you has drunk before.
"Originally we were going to celebrate the start of our last year, but now we are also celebrating your arrival. Treat this as your welcome party."
"Come here and take a seat. It will be fun."
Hearing all this, Chen Jingyun's eyebrows began to twitch. She didn't need any welcome party. She just needed peace and safety!
"Not at all, I don't do well with beer..." Chen Jingyun started looking for a way out. "You guys go ahead, I will watch you play and drink."
"Nonsense! It won't be fun like that!" Luo Shao complained and dragged her to the seat he offered her. "Sit!"
"But I have really low alcohol tolerance." Chen JIngyun insisted.
"Then you will drink less, don't worry, and let's get the party started!" Luo Shao laughed merrily.
However, Chen JIngyun didn't join his celebration. She was biting her lips, thinking what she should do...
Because the last time she drank...
She did something outrageous.
She was... thirteen?
A few years ago, when she was at someone's party. She was instructed to get along with everyone and make a good impression as the daughter of the Chen Family. Even if she wasn't quite bright as a kid, she understood some things couldn't be risked.
That day she turned up in the prettiest of dresses and behaved very elegantly.
But she made one mistake.
Instead of drinking soda, she downed one full glass of wine!
And after that glass of wine, she didn't remember much...
All she knew was her parents had to apologize multiple times before leaving the party.
Whatever she did cost her a month's supply of sweet!
It was that bad!
It was clear to her that if there's anything she couldn't risk...
Is her sober state!
Thinking fast on her feet, Chen JIngyun turned to her emergency solution.
The most embarrassing solution.
Clutching her stomach, she doubled in two, her face ashen with pain. Such sudden action set of alarms in her roommates.
"Oi, Qin Yun... Are you okay?" Luo Shao tried to help her up, but she shook her head.
"I have got... a really bad stomachache!" Chen Jingyun bit out in a great oscar performance.
"Do we have any medicine for that, Minghao?"
Li Minghao already had the medicine in hand.
"Here."
Chen Jingyun fervently shook her head.
She might be action but she wouldn't go as far as eating medicine!
"Nono, I have to go... Now!" Chen Jingyun dramatically retreated to the safest place with a lock.
The bathroom.
"I'm just... going to stay here." She announced before weakly shutting the door.
As for the boys, they only looked at each other and shrugged. They started putting everything back in place.
"I guess we won't be able to play today," Luo Shao lamented as the night faded away...
