As there was still a few minutes left before his class time to get over so Mr Mathew took intuitive to question Nathan to know about him more, "Nathan, which school did you use to study before???"
Nathan stood up from his seat and answered him politely, "I used to study in The Xavier Knight Glory school & college before I had to transfer here, sir."
"What??? The Xavier Knight Glory school and college??? XKG???", Mr Mathew exclaimed surprisingly by hearing his word where the rest of them also exclaimed along with him.
"Cough… cough… Sorry for the impoliteness just now I was just so shocked to hear you but I am curious why did you decide to transfer to our school from your previous school??? The Xavier Knight Glory school & college is the best school in Quebec for boys and it's the number one school in the ranking where our school is just the fourth.", said Mr Mathew curiously.
"I know it, sir but I didn't have a choice but to transfer to here out of blue because of my father's sudden job transfer and the home offered by his workplace as my previous school and our new home have a great distance gap in between and also as it's almost a quarter of the year so no seats were available in the hostel of XKG to apply for.", said Nathan in a gentle voice.
"Hmm, sometimes destiny plays tricks on us but still what it destines us is the best choice for everyone. Maybe fate brought you to us. Nice to know about you more. I am looking forwards to your performances. Please, sit down.", said Mr Mathew with a smile while patting Nathan's shoulder.
"Thank you, sir.", said Nathan obediently while taking his seat.
The bell rang out by declaring the class time of Mr Mathew over. Then by calling it a day Mr Mathew took his leave while being busy with his thoughts happily, "This new boy, Nathan is obviously a blessing child like his name. No doubt he was confident enough to accept that tough math problem. My lovely daughter Aurora finally got a match for her. Competition between two gifted by god will be fun to watch. No treasure can escape from my vision even though I am short-sighted and no matter how old I am. Humph."
Meanwhile, the whole classroom was full with curious gossiping sounds about Nathan where along with everyone Aurora and her friends were also busy in digesting the heavy blow that they received because of him.
The female classmates were drooling over Nathan secretly and the male classmates were busy in approaching him than before without isolating him like usual but Lucas and Travis weren't booty licking Nathan as they were more troubled with Nathan's presence after knowing his capability.
"Guys, what happened a while ago???", exclaimed Scarlet while shaking her head and then holding her temple with both hands like she was trying to think straight after being high.
"Don't know, man. I am still in shock. I will need some more time to get over it.", said Chole in a tipsy voice while laying her head on the bench tiredly.
"He was so amazing, wasn't he???", said Ophelia excitedly.
"Indeed he was. The funniest part was to watch Lucas's disappointed face. It was as if he was about to burst out in anger but that fake guy got to maintain his pretentious image that's why he couldn't react it out. I enjoyed it a lot.", said Madison while tittering happily by recalling Lucas's distressing face.
"But guys the fact is that Nathan turned out to be someone beyond our imagination.", said Abigail in a serious voice.
"True, unlike other transfer students he turned out to be an exception.", said Emily while observing Nathan secretly.
"What are you even saying, buddy??? You have to think about his educational background to compare him with those useless guys from before.", said Chole while raising her head immediately and turning behind to face Emily.
"Right, man. He used to study in the best school in the city. So, how can he be a dumb or useless guy or noner in academics???", said Scarlet while turning slightly to behind to see the face of Madison, Ophelia, Emily and Abigail.
"I heard that there is a boy in XKG who is a genius and none is a match of him as he is too good at everything. From grade seven he has been setting up new records and every year continuously he has been winning the first place of annual scholarship competition in Quebec which is arranged for every school to be participated in but none from outside XKG has ever seen his face till today as even though he participated in those competitions he never used to come to collect those prices and his school used to claim them behalf of him.", said Emily by turning to others by stop observing Nathan.
"Hmm, interesting but our school never participate in that competition. None knows the reason behind it. What a waste!!! But I hope that we can take a part in it this year.", said Chole while others were nodding their head to her words.
"Indeed Nathan is from XKG. Did you see how fast he was solving the math??? They were done in the blink of eyes. He was like a control less horse running with the speed of electricity.", exclaimed Madison.
"Yes, buddy. After all, the students in XKG high are chosen ones from all over the city and they are the best but the saddest part is that it's only for the boys.", said Scarlet while taking a look at Nathan with others.
"Good, that it is for boys otherwise we wouldn't have got hold of Aurora with us.", said Ophelia and Chole happily.
"Of course.", replied the rest of them happily while taking a look at Aurora.
"Hey, Aurora, what's wrong??? You seemed like you are at a loss. Why are you in such a state???", questioned Emily curiously by watching Aurora who was resting her back on their bench and was dashing out like a lazy cat.
"Don't tell me, guys. I am so frustrated.", said Aurora while laying her head on the bench like a tired fat cat with no spirit to do anything.
"But why???", asked all of them curiously.
"Because that pretty face is not just a noner. He is a good student with great academic performances.", said Aurora while still being in the same state and murmuring like a sad cat.
"So what??? Still, you are the best.", exclaimed all of them in serious voices.
"You guys are not getting it. Before it was just Lucas but now another guy is adding to the list.", exclaimed Aurora worriedly while sitting straight by jumping.
"No worries, you will handle him too.", said all of them cheerfully.
"It's not that easy. We all know Lucas well and as his opponent, I know his weak and plus points but this Nathan, I know nothing about him at all. So, just forget about knowing his weaknesses or plus point as at the moment I can't even measure his ability.", said Aurora in a troubled voice while rubbing her temple.
"It's nothing to worry. We can still observe him.", said Emily by fixing her detective gazes back on Nathan.
"But to take down my opponent, I will need a good plan with tactics on the battlefield. I can't shoot in open without any proper plan.", said Aurora while sighing in low self-esteem.
"That's right. Let's find out about it together. Don't be disheartened.", said Scarlet in an encouraging voice while patting Aurora's head.
"No matter what you are the best. A guy from just yesterday can't replace you that easily.", said Chole with a smile while pulling Aurora to a side hug.
"Right, moreover we have seen students like him who are good at first and then turn out to be so so…", said Abigail while making faces amusingly by recalling about those in the past.
"For example take Lucas. He was extraordinary when we first got to know him but later you took him down. Then Travis came and many more but at the end of the day, you took everyone down. So Nathan is also just a piece of cake for you.", said Madison by winking with a smile at the end.
"Yup, now cheer up. Mrs Anaesthesia will come in a few seconds.", said Chole while pulling Aurora's cheeks.
"Yes, you guys are right. We can plan for the future anytime but what important for the future is the present. Let's focus on it first.", said Aurora in a full spirited voice after hearing their words.
"Yeah, that's like our Aurora.", said all of them together happily.
"Okay, guys, then let's take a quick revision before the lesson.", said Aurora while opening her textbook.
"Sure, let's do it.", said all of them cheerfully by quickly opening their textbooks and focusing on revising.
"I am so lucky to have you guys by my side but still why I feel like Nathan is far from what he seems to be. He is not like Lucas and my instincts are warning me again and again that he won't be an easy opponent like Lucas to take down or like others, we have encountered in the past.", thought Aurora while taking a look at Nathan secretly who was busy reading a book where everyone surrounding him was busy talking and playing with one other and he was the only one lost in his own world without bothering about his surroundings.
Like Chole's words, Mrs Anaesthesia entered their classroom in a short while and as always with her kind smile and lovely greetings the lesson for the day was started and as usual, she rushed to catch up with Aurora right after beginning her lesson.
Like the previous class of Mr Mathew, her class time also became the battle arena for Lucas, Aurora and Nathan to prove oneself better than another while Lucas's whole focus was to drag down Nathan and mislead his classmates by harassing Aurora but the only difference was that Nathan was favoured and praised by his classmates than Lucas unlike in the previous class time where Nathan only got negativity at the beginning for trying to cross Lucas.
With the passing of time, a class after class and a lesson after the lesson was beginning and ending and the same things and incidents were kept repeating. But by observing Nathan for that whole day during those battles and word wars among him, Aurora and Lucas including the other times during the classes Aurora and her friends only could find out that Nathan was simply perfect in every aspect of his studies without any single flaw.
At the end finally, the time for everyone to leave for their respective homes arrived with the ending of school hours for that day.
"Such a tiresome day.", said Emily while standing up from her seat by taking a deep breath where most of their classmates were busy arranging their bags and some of them were already heading out of the classroom.
"Yeah a lot of things happened today which were too unexpected.", said Madison while zipping her bag and carrying it.
"Yes, a long day with the shocking incident of Nathan and then Lucas approaching Aurora too suddenly.", said Ophelia by standing next to the bench she was sitting.
"That Lucas is an idiot and he was approaching Aurora to find trouble like two years ago.", said Abigail in an irritated voice while standing next to Emily.
"Yes, you are right. The two years ago it was a nightmare.", said Ophelia along with Madison in a disturbed voice.
"Guys… Stop it.", said Scarlet while taking a look at Aurora who was hearing their words silently without any response where Chole was giving them a killing glare.
"Sorry, Aurora. We didn't mean to mention it like that.", said out all of them in guilty voices as they were the ones who set the rules back then that they would never mention about what happened between Aurora and Lucas two years ago in front of Aurora and would never let anyone else do so.
"Come on, guys. It's okay. You all are my friends. Why can't you guys talk about it or mention about it just for a while??? After all, everyone was gossiping about it today. After Lucas's behaviour, I was confirmed that the gossips and rumours from two years ago are going to be raised up again.", said Aurora with a smile as usual yet there was a hidden sadness in her eyes.
"Huh??? How do you come to know about other…...", they were questioning her curiously and shockingly but before they could complete their sentences Aurora replied with a smile who already had heard her other classmates gossiping about the past and also complaining about her friends as they were not letting them spread those false rumours around again, "Yes, I know them and also I know that you guys tried your best to hide it from me and prevent those gossips from reaching to me. I know all of them. Thank you so much for caring about me. You guys are the best."
"It's nothing at all, Aurora" "We are always so dependable on you for studies and everything" "Most of the time we cause much trouble for you" "And there are more things that …", all of them were saying one after another but before they could say more Aurora interrupted them with a smile, "Nothing like that, guys. You all are my friends and it's my duty to help you whenever you guys need it."
"Then trying to protect you from those rumours were also our duty as your friends,", said all of them while pulling Aurora into a group hug happily.
"By the way, it's clear that Lucas approached you with no good intention.", said Ophelia worriedly while heading out of the classroom together with the rest of them.
"Yes, that guy didn't talk with Aurora for last two years but today he was pretending like they were so close friends or something more.", said Madison in an irritated voice.
"He was mainly trying to make gossips. That's it.", said Chole angrily.
"But wasn't his target Nathan??? How comes he came after aurora???", exclaimed Abigail confusedly.
"It's clear, guys. He just wanted to pour fuel into the fire of rumours from two years ago that has already been forgotten by almost everyone.", said Emily while calculating thoughts in her mind.
"He just wants to spread those rumours again as after two years the previous rumours and that past have been buried down by everyone and all that looks baseless now. So, he again wants to dig the past up.", said Scarlet in a serious voice.
"You have got the point right.", said Emily after coming back to reality by calculating her thoughts.
"If this is his intention…", said Abagail and Chole while looking at Aurora with wide eyes who was silently hearing their words without getting herself involved.
"Then you have to be careful with him.", exclaimed Madison and Ophelia worriedly by holding her hands.
"Yes, you have to avoid him as much as you can.", said Scarlet in a serious voice while patting Aurora's head.
"Don't worry, guys. I will deal well with him this time. After all, I have you guys with me.", said Aurora happily.
"Yes, we all are with you" "to keep you safe" "from that bad Lucas", said all of them wearing happy and cheerful smiles.
"Hey, Chole, your father is waiting for you.", said Emily while looking at the wise principal who was waiting for his daughter by standing in front of the staff room while having a chat with other teachers.
