My eyes were wide as I had to prepare for what would happen next. I took in a deep breath and tried to stand with confidence. I knew I couldn't outrun them. I couldn't hide. So for once, I decided to fight. I tried to be brave. I held my fists up ready to punch the first person who came after me.
The first person ran towards me and tried to grab me but I dodged it. I swung my fist but missed. I quickly kicked him in the stomach making him weaker. Some of them were afraid to get near me because of how hot the Ora burned.
I grabbed a piece of wood off the floor and knocked it against his head making him pass out.
Then two of them ran towards me at the same time. I panicked and started swinging the wood making it hit one of them in the knee. The other took my wrist lifting me off of the ground.
"Gotcha!" He shouted. The Ora burned hotter making him drop me.
I punched him in the face. However, it wasn't hard enough. It just made him angrier. He pushed me down the stairs in a swift movement. It made me a little dizzy. But when I opened my eyes Ms. Bailey was standing before me as I laid on the ground.
"Why are you doing this?" I asked.
Ms. Bailey chuckled. "You are a valuable item to me. Of course I have to have you." She exclaimed.
"But I'm not an item, I'm a person!" I yelled.
She kicked me in my stomach.
"Hush up. You're too noisy." She turned around and signaled to the others. They quickly walked to another room with no hesitation.
I stood up as fast as I could. As she turned around I grabbed the piece of wood and swung it at her.I missed but swung again hitting her on the arm.
"Ow! You little bitch!" She shouted. She tried to grab my throat but I stepped back.
Without thinking I stabbed it into her stomach. Blood started rushing out as she fell to the ground. I could see the fear in her eyes. The fear that she would die.
I ran over to her and bent down. "No no no! You.. y-you can't die. I- I'm not a...a murder. Please don't... don't d-die..." I was so nervous.
She coughed up blood and looked at me with rage. " It's too late. You are a killer. You are a t-terrible person, Kai. You don't deserve to live. Especially not a-after this. Everyone will hate you." She smiled.
She coughed up more blood. "No, please, I...I didn't mean to. Please you can't, you can't d-die..." I backed up against the wall. I was overwhelmed with shock. I held my hands against my head, gripping onto my hair. My eyes were wide and filled with tears.
"I don't know what to do. H-how can I help?" I asked.
"You c-can't help me. I'm going to die. And it's all your fault." She closed her eyes slowly falling asleep. Dying because of me.
What would happen after that? Would I go to prison? Would everyone really hate me? How could I live with myself? I could start to see the black and blue swirls again. I felt so cold as the red Ora began to glow.
I looked up the stairs when I heard a noise. It was the other people. There were three of them. They ran after me. I looked around and saw a knife with blood on it. I tried to grab it but I didn't get there in time. They we're already too close.
I felt hopeless until I heard a door burst open. It was the room that was beside mine. "I'm here, bitches!" It was Quinn!
