Chapter 1 - Prologue

'Debuff - Control of the Puppeteer:???'

Horror filled the face of what was once used to be full of smile and laughter on a child's face after regaining back from his consciousness. Well, you would be after seeing your family drop dead on the floor, one by one, denched by their own blood.

His little blood stained hands shaking, loosing the kitchen knife on hand that made a stinging sound reverberated throughout his eardrum even when screeches and screams was heard all around along with the sound of scorching of flame coming from wooden houses outside from this dimly lit room.

"Good boy. It's time for you to dissapear also and give me your negative energy. "

He looked at the source of the voice with teared filled blank face. A man yet not a man with metallic arms and eyes with no discerning feeling raised its sickled hand at him. The voice of the man being sincere yet have done doom and horror is a second away from ending his life.

Just as it was about to deal its final slice, the wall got smashed to smithereens when a shining metal rushed and tackled the man as it smashed on the nearby wall.

A huge shining cyan shield was placed to the side, a woman brimming with pride and defense stared closely to the man. The man broken in every joint stood up and assembled itself like magnets clicking back to its original place. He said with the most sincere of voice.

"Long time no see, Ms. Castle or should I call you Fortress of Florence. A beffiting title."

"Will! You have to stop this at once." Said the Cyan Paladin.

"Stop is not part of the greater cause."

"I know you are in pain after losing Elina. This is not a justifiable way of venting your frustrations. Please, show yourself so I could help you." She persuade,

"No. This is not about Elina. You wouldn't understand."

"I would if you just surrender yourself and talk to me. This... This IS GOING TOO FAR!" Her voice succumbed the place

"We are going too far. You are just blind to not notice."

"Then enlighten me because from what I see you are terrorizing innocent citizens." She said with a glareful stare,

"No. I'm restoring it."

"It doesn't matter what you call it. Killing is still killing. What the hell happened to you? You were a hero, you were once part of the legendary team?"

Silence filled the air for a few seconds.

"How the hell did you end up like this? You're smart, there has to be a purpose. "

"It's for a greater cause."

"If the greater cause is you killing people, I will have to put my foot and stop it."

After she finished talking she immediately pounce forward with her shield in front. The man tried to defend itself with its sickled hands but was smashed to the ground by her shield throwing both of them outside. Without giving it a chance, she immediately followed her attack with a jump as high as she can.

"Shield Bash!"

with shield first, she fell like a meteorite speeding faster and faster to the man. The man could not react in time as it recieved the blow straight on, smashing it into pieces.

"Restoration." The mans last words as its gears flew all around the vicinity.

"Captain!" A man who looked to be a soldier did a salute after approaching the towering fortress.

"Search the place for survivors! Close the area of about 2 kilometer radius. We can't let Will escape. He can't control his puppets wtihout being near." She commanded.

"Yes, captain." He immediately dispatched people to do both task.

'Tsk. This is the fifth incident.' She knitted her brows in frustration. As she sighed a long breathe, she looked at the child she saved. She could not stop feeling pity, the blank state of his face is just something that even the most manliest of man could shed a tear. She approached him gently, sitting just in front of him. He looked at her in horror.

"Mom... Dad..." He uttered,

She could not hold on to her tears as she hugged him, trying to ease of whatever trauma could give him.

"I won't let you suffer even further. I won't let you suffer more." She said sincerely.

'Debuff - Trauma:???'

The whole town scorched in embers if not for the Fortress of Florence being deployed near the vicinity, they wouldn't even have the chance to even save a single life. It would have been a massacre for the fifth time.
