I was behind Shana when I followed her to the living room but she stopped beside the mirror and her eyes were widened.
I know why because I saw for the first time her natural face without those thick eyebrows and eyeglasses when she entered the kitchen.
She was really beautiful, a natural beauty that no need to wear makeup. "Now, we really need to talk." I say as I grabbed her hand and lead to the living room.
She was pale as she sat down biting her lips. I sat beside her. She still did not say a word and nervous.
"Okay, I do not have time for this silent treatment thing at the moment." I talked first. "I …" She quickly snapped.
"I-I am sorry." She said without looking into my eyes but touching her tummy. "I know what you were thinking right now."
"Then, tell me everything. I want to know your explanation." I said, but my voice was not mad rather calm.
She took a deep breath before she begins. I listened to her bit by bit about her family, siblings and everything about her.
She mentioned how she switched if the real Zari was not available and already committed with the engagement she had. But it was not always just emergency situation just like she did with the fashion show of my cousin.
Her sister Zari, nowhere to be around at that time and Jake was no other choice since Shana was in the city. She could not compromise with the situation with her twin even she does not want to.
However, as I listened, it was good on my part because I met her even by the name of her twin sister but that was okay. I know the truth and she have my baby in her tummy.
"Again, I apologized for what we did that cost you trouble." I heard her say. Actually, it does not really matter to me now. What matters to me is our baby. She has not mention yet to me.
I nodded. "When are you going to talk about the night we had together and that baby?" I asked raising my brows. "Are you not planning to tell me about it? Our baby, Shana?"
She looked at me and nodded. "Because… you will get mad at me if you knew and I think you might deny it." She said lowering her head.
"Why are you thinking about that kind in your mind? You did not even try to tell me first but you are already jumping into conclusion that you still do not know what's my answer." I raised my voice but not that loud.
"Because we are not in the situation you call it and beside it was just one night stand. You think that's fair to you, of course, it is not." She raised her voice too. "I can raise my baby with or without you." She said firmly.
"And you think I will allow you to do that. You cannot escape from me, Shana. You are not going anywhere and you know what I can do." I said, seeing her face makes me hug her because she was a little scared. "I will not let you hide my baby from me. Either, you move in with me or I move in with you. It is your choice." I added. Just a second I quickly order. "No, I changed my mind you move in with me. My place is much bigger for us to raise our baby." I commanded.
"What?" Saying in shocking eyes.
"Yes, honey, we will be together in one roof but if I were you, you just move in with me." I gave her a sweet smile. "It is not good for you to be alone."
She stood up and left me in the living room. Seeing her expression, she was furious. I know she went to her room. I let her be for a while.
I decided to go to the supermarket nearby. As I cooked this morning, there were not enough foods for her. I know she lives alone and it is hard for her to do the task every day since she is working too. It must be very hard on her because she is pregnant.
Pushing my cart towards the vegetables area first. I am thinking of a dish that suit for the pregnant women. I am making this lunch Loaded Pesto Veggie Burger and Fiesta Salad. As for our dinner, Pork and Pineapple Kebobs or Stuffed Acorn Squash with White Beans, Mushrooms & Wild Rice. But I grabbed some ingredients for both. Then some snacks too, Crackers and Cheese, Peachy Crunchy Yogurt, Blueberry Almond Smoothie and so on.
I left the Vegetables area and went for Meat section. I bought some then Chicken and beef too. When I finished that area, stopping to the Fruits section. Apple, grapes, banana orange there are a lot to choose. I picked each item I see but not many.
Rolling my cart again to the other section I stopped to an Infant Section. We haven't done shopping together for the baby I know there are still lacking that needs for the baby. Shaking my head as I push the cart towards the cashier.
I reached already in Shana's place after buying things in the supermarket. Shana is still in her room. I placed everything I bought to the fridge and to the cabinet.
I just left some for our lunch today. I started peeling the vegetables, cutting some meat and other ingredients for Loaded Pesto Veggie Burger and Fiesta Salad. I was busy in a while in the kitchen preparing for her foods.
Later, I will woo her after doing my cooking. I know I should have to be more patience with her since she is carrying our baby. Concentrating my cooking so that I could finish right away. I do not like Shana being mad at me. I have to adjust everything for her. That's the best thing to do.
