Chereads / Mr Villain Please Go Away [Under Heavy Revison] / Chapter 20 - And that's how a villain dropped from the sky.

Chapter 20 - And that's how a villain dropped from the sky.

Settling atop the mountains, the sun's dying light squeezed a yawn out of Alicia.

"Hueghoow." Stretching after a long day was so satisfying. And indeed, today was perhaps a record long.

How she hopes that despite the crazy roller coaster, perhaps it will end sweetly. As the sun gently falls dying the sky in shades of pink, a sweetness quite similar to that.

Ash flicked his tail, resting it across Alicia's chest. Which she unabashingly took the fluffy plush into her arms with a smile. Combing her fingers through the fur, she leaned back onto Ash in contentment.

Gently warming the earth, the setting sun beamed down while white and pink clouds floated across the fleeting sky. Alicia and Ash enjoyed the breeze caressing their hair, the grass rustling all around them.

Briefly a large shadow cast upon the ground, flickering the dimming light momently.

"He's back early." Ash yawned.

Alicia opened one eye. She stretched once more before she stood back up. Just as Ash said, Bubbles had returned from his hunt.

To keep his nature from dulling, Sheila instructed her son to hunt twice a month. Though the estate provided them with ample food, laziness was not tolerated by this mother dragon.

"Surprisingly he'd only been gone for a few days," coming back earlier than usual, which Alicia found odd.

"Want to bet he picked up something nifty and just had to brag?"

Alicia rolled her eyes at Ash's words. "Must you always tease him?"

"It's not teasing if it's true," Now it was Ash's turn to stretch. His fur puffed up, his back arched and his claws dug into the ground.

Padding in a circle, he flicked his tail at Alicia's shoulder, nudging at the bristle comb by her feet with his paw. "Mom brush, please."

"You spoiled pooch, already groomed to such an extent. You're more than capable of doing it yourself."

"But mommy does it better." Those puppy dog eyes were her worst enemy as she easily gave up.

Wagging his tail in victory, Ash turned around, offering the knot that was bothering him. A knot near the juncture between the base of his tail and hind leg.

Alicia sighed as she picked up the bristle comb and got to work.

Swirling the wind into a swoosh, a large barn sized dragon landed upon the ground in a thump. His black fur quivered before settling down.

Folding in his wings after landing, Bubbles heavy footed his way closer with sparkling eyes. Stopping a foot away, a plop jittered the grass as he had dropped something to the ground.

Alicia shook her head with a suppressed laugh.

As per usual, Bubbles brought his kill to her. Even after her and Sheila tried to mend his habit, he still, with confidence did so after every hunt.

Turning around, the smile on Alicia's face froze.

"Wha-"

She was at a loss of words as her mouth gaped out in exasperation. Blinking multiple times, she rubbed her eyes, just to check if she were seeing things.

Pinching herself also didn't seem to change anything.

Not a dream. Yet then again if this were a dream, it'd be the most baffling dream ever.

Looking to the sky she cursed. God, won't you please kindly go to hell? Seriously do you find this funny? Because she certainly does not.

After confirming her suspicions, thinking deeply of her current situation, she'd already decided how she'd handle her circumstances. Even found the agonizing determination to stop her food business plans.

All she wanted to do was watch the novel, live in person without any interaction with the vital characters, yet what was this?

A person had come out of Bubbles mouth and he was still breathing, bloody with clothes torn. This person was hard not to recognize even though it was her first time seeing him.

Silver hair, pointed ears, and tribal markings, who else could this person be if not him?

The sub-villain, Silver Erlik. A capricious Kuhron with too much time on his hands. Not only was he unpredictable, he was written as possessing a volatile mood. In other words a dangerous man.

She looked back down. Her dragon's nose pushed the person closer as his tail wagged, looking up at her with those damnable puppy dog eyes.

Begrudgingly she glared at her dragon, why did he have to bring him here?

Couldn't he be a bit more sensible, she inwardly complained as she looked towards the unwelcomed quest.

Mr.Villain please go away. Dealing with you sounds too troublesome to be worth the effort. She cried out inside her head.

Gosh, she can't believe how this happened. And yet she knew exactly how it happened. Her damn mind jinxed herself and that deplorable god was listening. Her sweet ending had turned sour.

Awkwardly she looked everywhere but at that face, proceeding to do what any logical person would do in her situation.

She turned around, walked away, and proceeded to ignore her problems.

And yet, even that was jinxed into failure.

Blood soaked the earth, filling the breeze as it flowed past Alicia. Her steps halted. Bubbles wrapped his tail around her, stopping her idea of walking off.

Inwardly she cursed once more. Yet that wasn't enough so the curses turned into a waterfall. Pushing every nasty word she knew of at that horrible god who had put her in this position.

Once again she wanted to leave this problem behind. She'd looked over her shoulder at her insensitive dragon, assaulting her with those begging eyes.

Oh, oh, oh! That's all her mind could form as all the curse words had been used and her brain was short circuiting. Either she leaves the problem bleeding out in the yard, or she gives into her dragon and takes the problem inside.

Actually, she didn't have a choice. Currently Bubbles was the stronger party. Yet, she had one more!

Her vision falls to Ash with hope, "Ash why don't you-"

"Mom I like his smell." Ash's tail wagged.

"Wha-"

"Mom can we keep him?"

Ash used puppy dog eyes, and it was very effective! Alicia felt light headed as she inwardly cursed once again. Traitors, she's surrounded by traitors!

Her only hope was so close and now it vanished. No it never existed in the first place. Now this false hope was also trying to push her off the ledge to take on the problem!

Oh Alicia felt so betrayed. If she still had tears to cry, they'd fall endlessly with no guarantee of stopping.

While Alicia was fighting her internal battles, a man leaned against an apple tree not too far away. One of many planted at the entrance to the estate's many gardens.

He tossed the apple high into the air with a smile, his gaze focused on Alicia. "And that's how a villain dropped from the sky." He murmured aloud.

Laughing deeply, the man caught the apple and took a bite. Slipping from his long pale fingers, he allowed it to fall from his grasp.

His long white hair flowed in the wind. Before the fruit had the chance to hit the ground, he vanished.

"And so it begins."
