Spring-Autumn chewed on a few food flowers as he observed the touching reunion between the mother and daughter.
Blue Azurite and Rainmist Azurite.
Blue sobbed with happiness in the embrace of her mother. They were whispering things only those related by a family bond would understand. It was something that was hard for him to understand.
Rainmist, as the mother of Blue was naturally beautiful. In fact, she was many times more beautiful than Blue as she was oozing with the appeal of a mature woman. When one thinks about a married woman with children, the first thing they would think of would not be how beautiful and sexy the woman is. However, it was different for Rainmist.
Rainmist got married and pregnant at the very young age of 19. Blue was approaching the age of 18. By doing very complicated math, one could deduce that her age was around 37. As such, Rainmist had an appearance that was in great shape and oozing with sex appeal.
Unlike other survivors that were in a tattered mess, her suit was in perfect condition. Despite that, her clothing could not conceal her twin mounds that seemed to be on the verge of bursting out. Her face was perfectly sculpted just like Blue's and silky black hair that flowed down freely. Her soft lips were lifted gently into a smile as she embraced Blue.
After a long moment, the two finally parted. Blue wiped her tears off her eyes. Spring-Autumn faked a cough and approached with a smile.
"It's been a while, Aunt Rainmist," Spring-Autumn said.
Rainmist adjusted her clothes and said, "Yes, it's been quite a long time. I didn't expect you were the type of person to do this. Thank you very much for bringing her."
Her voice was as clear as a melody. When her sentence ended, she gave him a deep bow.
It was a surreal feeling to have such a human interaction when the world was in chaos. Spring-Autumn felt butterflies in his stomach as he looked at her bowing figure.
They were in an underground base surrounded by many who just a few days before, lost the desire to live. The simple interaction between humans brought warmth into his heart.
"You're very welcome."
Rainmist lifted her head.
They settled down in their designated area. The arrangement of the area was what one would expect of a survivor camp. Everyone was sparsely spaced from one another and gathered in their own little groups. Everyone had a thin mattress and blanket as distributed by the military and their possessions were placed around it.
There were various public facilities placed around the area. The shower area, the lavatory, the food distribution center. All the essential stations were present for use.
This was a part of the Listian protocol. When people are united, the country remains undefeatable. Listians were hardcore patriots and this was especially true for the military. They would do their best to ensure comfort for their own people.
Near Rainmist's area was the Azurite family's area. Rainmist was merely an in-law so she was not very close to the main family. The only connection she had with them was her late deceased husband who was the main son of the Azurite. However, even with this thin connection, they still did their best to help her. This was evident in their efforts to retrieve Rainmist to come with them to the underground base as soon as the world started to change.
The three engaged in various small talks when they settled down. Blue became akin to a rattlebox, telling her mother stories nonstop. For some strange reason, Spring-Autumn was in most of the stories.
Spring-Autumn sat and smiled with a blank smile on his face with the expression of, "I am indeed a capable man."
Later that day, Blue went to greet her paternal family. There was a particular man who was quite special on the Azurite side.
"Uncle," Blue greeted him.
The man had piercing, dark blue eyes, and slightly graying hair. He was a man that was approaching his middle years who aged like wine. He was Woden Azurite, the second son of the Azurite family. He was also one that has awakened his power, one of the few within the underground base.
"You've grown up," He said with a faint smile. "I hope the journey here was not too hectic for you."
"It was not too bad." She simply replied.
"That's a relief."
While the exchange was taking place, a familiar man approached. His silver hair shone as brightly as ever even when underground with artificial lights.
"Silver?" Spring-Autumn said.
"Hm? Hello there," Silver waved his hand and brightly smiled.
Silver was no longer in his BDUs. Instead, he was in his other uniform that proudly showed off his ribbons, medals, and badges.
"You're with them?" He asked.
"Not so much." Spring-Autumn shook his head. "You know who I'm with,"
"Hahaha. I'm here to talk with that ability user."
"You don't need to tell me."
"Well, I thought maybe you'd want to know."
Silver would not usually act this friendly with anyone. There was a particular reason for this exchange.
After the dragon incident, they confirmed each other's ability when Spring-Autumn lent him a hand.
"You need help and that's what I'm here for," said Spring-Autumn that night after the dragon incident.
Silver accepted the help with some skepticism that was quickly washed away. With the assistance of Spring-Autumn's investigative and observational abilities, they were able to take care of monsters on the way without a problem. With such assistance, Silver was essentially a tiger with wings.
"Mr. Woden," SIlver called.
Woden gave nod and told Blue, "We can talk more later,"
After this, he followed Silver out. It was unknown what the two ability users would be discussing.
