In a huge library with a hundred shelves containing Akiro's valuable books, Luna could be found sitting in one corner with the messed up pile of books beside her. She yawned, stretched her limbs, and finally closed the last book for today.
The rarer the books were, the shorter their content was but the quality of information made up for its lack of quantity. Today would be the day she's supposed to have her magic awakened. The things she would need later were prepared in such a short time as per Akiro's orders.
The way to awaken one's magic power is dependent on oneself. Luna believes that she would succeed with flying colors through reading books filled with valuable knowledge since it was a hobby embedded in herself ever since she was born. Moreover, the amount of her magic substance has reached a hundred times the amount from training non stop every afternoon after her scheduled reading books in the library during mornings.
After Luna piled the books nearly above the small square table, she went out of the library and went straight to her bedroom to get ready for her magic element awakening.
Luna wore the white and silver-colored robe adorned with a small pale pink rose brooch at the center. The robe was given by Akiro although she was supposed to buy one for herself. He decided to give it as an advanced gift for being an awakened mage when he learned that Luna wanted a robe.
Moreover, he sounded so sure that Luna would be able to awaken her magic element today without fail.
Luna looked at herself in front of the mirror and observed that the robe fitted perfectly into her body even though it's made in a rush to be readied in her magic element awakening.
She couldn't afford to fail today because the Academy's recruitment time was coming near and she didn't want to enroll in the middle of the classes. Luna picked up the spellbook, and other small things she needed for today's event.
Luna chose Akiro's training room as the place for her magic awakening. It was because she felt that something weird will happen and she didn't want others peeking into her secrets. She once read that a person's magic element was partly related to one's personality but it could vary since some people have hidden personalities they did not often show to others.
After Luna made sure all her things were ready, she walked towards the training room to which she saw three curious people who were supposed to have a training schedule for today.
"I wish you good luck, Luna!" Ryle said.
Luna smiled and reassured them that it would become successful. Akiro's main training room finally opened after Miss Zione quietly chanted the secret spell of the barrier protecting the room.
Akiro joined her because he would be able to stop her when her magic accidentally becomes a mess since her magic substance's amount was alarming.
Luna drew a magic circle using her magic substance. It was the first thing a novice mage needed to do to let their magic substance became increasingly active and be awakened. And it was the part that took her so long since controlling her huge magic amount to drew a magic circle was not a walk in the park.
A yellow illuminating magic circle in the floor almost covered half the training room due to her magic substance's amount.
Seeing the abnormally large magic circle, Akiro didn't slack one bit and intently watched every detail that might cause her awakening to fail.
Meanwhile, Luna stepped at the center of the magic circle after it was completely made. The heavy feeling she felt while standing at the center was a nightmare for her. It's because the moment she stepped into the innermost circle of the magic circle, a wave of flashbacks from her past swiftly engulfed her whole existence.
Her body was like thrown into the abyss with her past experiences played in every direction. It started from her father's self-centered attitude to her half-sibling's envious hearts. There was not a single day she felt peaceful with them yet she always forgives them truly and let her heart be free from stress together with her mother. The undying problem was that the hatred didn't completely vanish.
It was only hidden deep within her like a small fire that kept hanging within her deep secrets. Instead of eating her existence away, it became a barrier that protected her from harm and took her worst childhood memories she ever had to continue living like a normal person.
Today, the small fire felt that it was given a chance to grow into something bigger and more powerful. It didn't want to waste such a rare opportunity.
Luna felt an increasingly warm and cozy heat from her body. The fire was supposed to hurt other people but this one soothed her whole body like medicine.
She soon understood where it came from. It was a long hatred that kept hanging but her forgiving nature had been incorporated into it and instead, heal others who touched her fire.
The darkness in the abyss soon disappeared as the huge soothing fire lit up the place.
'It's such a blinding light,' she thought.
It's the light that guided her and would continue to guide her to her path.
Not long after, Luna found herself back in the center of the magic circle that was now covered with astonishing white and golden flames.
She looked towards Akiro to make sure that she succeeded in awakening her magic element which the latter looked dumbfounded and walked slowly to the magic circle engulfed in an uncommon color of flames.
Akiro touched it without hesitation as if he knew that it's a harmless kind of fire. The heat of the golden flames brought warmth in his hands but the white flames didn't have any effect at first touch although he suddenly felt its slight hostility. To have two kinds of an uncommon fire would be amazing.
And both the white and golden fire was unusually tame in the presence of Luna. It was common knowledge that those who had the magic element of fire have a strong yet uncontrollable power that took years of training compared to other elements.
Even a healing flame of the best priest that had fire magic elements wasn't as gentle as hers.
Akiro stared at her and said, "You passed Luna. I hereby congratulate you on becoming a fire magic element and from obtaining a supreme healing base magic," he said.
