G. Chapter 38
Asi and Ahi were surprised when they heard what Hosa said.
" If you never killed, how did you complete tasks in school then? Use your ability and subdue them?" Ahi asked curiously.
" Ho.. My ability wasn't manifested then. You know I am a Body Cultivator, our abilities are manifested late. My ability manifested just a few months ago. Before, I just beat the beasts and completed the tasks. The school never ever forced me to kill the beasts after I was against it. " Hosa said to her.
" Well your ability makes you friendly with the beasts. I think that made you uncomfortable to kill the beasts from the beginning." Asi commented.
" Yeah.. I think so. But it's not that I am uncomfortable to kill. It's just I ask myself why should I? And after thinking I feel, I don't need to kill!" Hosa said to her.
His abilities were made by the system after it was activated. So his ability never forced him to not to kill. It's just he never felt the joy in killing. Even after experiencing the memories of his past life, from all those slaughter done by his past life he didn't feel any rush from inside. He understood how his past life felt joy in killing his enemies.
But he only understood the feeling of killing and never was he interested in the thrill of killing.
" If we want to live in a safe and secure society, we have to kill and get rid of all those monsters and wild beasts." Ahi said and then continued," and we also have many uses with those wild beasts. They are useful for us in many ways."
" Well, yes those wild beasts are indeed useful in many ways. But it's not easy to get used to fighting and killing the wild beasts" Asi said and then continued, "When I was offered the chance to enter a better school to improve in my magic cultivation I was so excited that I couldn't sleep properly for days. But then we are asked to fight with the wild beasts every week. I was so scared and frightened. I forgot to chant the magic spells. I refused to budge facing the beasts. But still they forced us to fight the beasts. They said we have to improve and polishing our magic skills. Every week we had to train our magic spells on those wild beasts. Those days at that school were literal nightmares to us. Our school was heaven compared to it. I cursed myself for transferring schools even now." She shook her head.
" Hahaha.. transferring to another school must have been tough for you." Hosa asked her.
" Not much.. I have some unpleasant experiences, but I got over them. Life was hard at that school but I got used to it. You saw the reception lady yesterday. She and her sister are my friends and classmates from that school. We stick together still now." Asi said with some complicated emotions.
" Oh!.. So are you still in touch with our classmates?" Hosa asked her.
" No. I lost touch with them after a few months I transferred schools.
What about you 'junior'? Are you in contact with our classmates" Asi giggled.
" No. I lost contact with them during these two years. I had many things to do.
Actually they betrayed me. They didn't even call me when they celebrated passing the examination. Later I didn't get the time to maintain contact with them." Hosa shook his head.
" Hahaha. Well, now that I think. I never had proper friends in that school. I think it's because of me. You know what I mean right?" Asi sighed.
" Yeah. But you are different now. Like an entirely different person. You've changed.
Our classmates would be amazed if they are here now." Hosa chuckled.
" Yeah. These years were tough. With my experiences I changed." Asi said with a wry smile.
" I don't know how tough but the changes are great.
You know, this you is way better than the past you. It's a very pleasant change." Hosa complemented.
" That's nice to hear from you," Asi smiled softly.
" Thank you!" She thanked him.
" Your welcome." Hosa nodded slightly.
" So, what are your plans after this?" Hosa asked her.
" We haven't thought about it. We would have gone home to take rest after completing the tasks. But after your show today we don't need to take rest anymore. Then what about you?", Asi asked him.
" Oh! I am free today. There's nothing I have to do." Hosa shrugged his shoulders.
" If both of you are free, why don't you follow me to the VR center? I want to practice some of the new water magic spells I learned recently in the VR world." Ahi invited the two of them.
Both Hosa and Asi thought about it and nodded. " Okay we'll follow you there."
" Hey, how long do you think it will take before our task completion will be confirmed?" Hosa asked them suddenly.
" I don't think it will take much time before our task confirmation is completed. It's just since this is a competition task they will announce the confirmation later. And they will rank the teams which completed the task, according to the fastest time the teams completed." Ahi said.
" We should be expecting more bonus points now." Asi said as she smiled sweetly.
" Why?" Hosa asked, staring at her sweet smile.
" Don't you know the time we took to complete the task? It's just nearly thirty minutes. We only took around thirty minutes to complete the task. That's a record, you know? It's going to be the fastest completion time for a Level five competition task you know?" Asi said excitedly. She grinned," We'll get more bonus points along with the ranking points."
" Oh. Then that's great." Hosa smiled. Points are necessary to live in the university. Extra points are always welcomed.
" Let's go to the VR center. It might take a long time before the rankings are released" Ahi said as she completed her drink.
" Wait let me complete mine." Hosa drank his drink in a gulp.
" Let's go." He said to them.
Ahi, Asi and Hosa moved towards the VR center.
