The four men shuddered in fear as they watched Riku, who was still near the door.
One of the men couldn't take it and he took his gun and pointed it at Riku and shouted.
"W-who the f*ck are you? Drop your f*cking spear or I'll put a bullet in your head."
Riku seems to have not heard him as he continued to glare at the man on top of Eliza.
The other men seem to have recovered from their initial shock as they took their guns as well and pointed it to Riku. The man turned red as he shouted once again.
"Are you f*cking deaf or would you rather I open your ears bigger with a bullet? Drop the spear to the ground now!"
The other men started to get angry when they noticed he didn't move. They thought Riku was now scared and they couldn't help but get angry when they remember getting scared of him.
As for Kohaku they weren't worried at all. The guns they held gave them this sense of security.
The four were staring at Riku when they eventually started seeing things. Their hearts started to beat faster as they felt their hands and feet getting colder.
Yellow liquid can be seen flowing down their thighs as they started to scream in fear.
Riku didn't care about them and started walking towards the man who was on top of Eliza. The man didn't know what happened to the other men, but when he saw Riku approaching him, fear started to invade his heart.
He could partly guess that Riku was the cause of the changes with the behavior of his fellow brethren, so he started to beg and offer whatever he could to RIku.
"Hey man, won't you let me go? Please I beg you, I don't wanna die! I-i know here I'll share her with you, I still haven't got to enjoy her, but I'll let you go first no no in fact you can have her, she's all yours! Please just don't kill me!"
Every word he said served as fuel to Riku's raging fury, the only reason the man is still able to talk is the fact that Riku was thinking about how he'll kill him as painful as possible.
"Godd*mn it! Arghhhh!"
Seeing Riku still approaching, made the man realize that he won't be spared so gathering his courage he shouted as he ran towards Riku.
He was, however weak compared to Riku, who held him in his neck and raised him into the air.
The night was fast approaching and zombies could be seen on the street outside the house. The man was choking in Riku's hand when he was suddenly thrown outside through the window.
He broke his legs and his arm when he landed. The house was only two stories high and the man didn't fell headfirst so he lived.
Crying in pain, he was just about to curse Riku when he saw the zombies outside approaching him. He tried his best to crawl away from them, but there was simply no way to escape them with his arm and legs broken. His screaming was eventually drowned out by the sound of flesh being ripped apart as the zombies feast on him.
The other men died as their heads rolled on the ground. Riku could care less about their deaths as he approached the Eliza, who was crying her heart out. Eliza seems to have been afraid at first when Riku touched her back, but when she realized that it was actually him, she hugged him as she let out a wail filled with anger and sorrow.
Just as her crying started to subside , she suddenly remembered that the boss was still there and immediately told Riku. It was only after he gave her another [Vest of Resistance] that he got earlier and a gun that the men held, did he decide to leave her for now and find the last man.
After leaving the room, he made Kohaku track the man, which led downstairs and right in front of a door that seems to lead to a basement. He didn't explore this before because he had only made finding Eliza his priority.
He opened the door and what welcomed him is darkness that seems to be able to swallow him whole and a dim light at the end of the stairs.
As he went down the stairs, he heard the sound of what seems to be shaking and groaning and the closer he got the louder the sounds was.
When he reached the bottom of the stairs, he found himself in a dimly lit room caused by the candles everywhere. In the middle he could see a man hugging a cabinet which was where the shaking and the groaning came from.
"We'll be together forever, even in death."
As soon as the man said these words he opened the cabinet and a zombie came bursting and biting him in the neck yet there was a smile on his face.
Riku couldn't understand the man's thought process and he didn't have the luxury to think about it as the zombie destroyed the chains that held it.
He could only pierce the zombie's head with his spear as he went to the other man who still had a smile on his face.
Riku didn't think that the man was pitiful, in fact he wished that the man didn't die happy as he thought of him as the reason as to why there were scums like the ones he killed before.
Riku was just about to kill the man in front of him when he realized what he has done. Riku couldn't help but think that there was no denying it anymore, he was a murderer who didn't care about other people's lives just as much as he had thought he did.
It was this train of thought that made him hesitate in killing the man in front of him, but great anger swelled inside of him when he remembered all the women he saw and the imagination of what Eliza must've experienced that turned his hesitation to decisiveness.
"There are some humans who must be killed for the sake of the world, otherwise we'll have these thorns that could only cause harm."
It was at this moment that the hopes he unconsciously had were crushed. Riku as an 18 year old couldn't help but want to wish everything would revert back to normal. It was, however obvious that along the change in the world, humans had changed as well.
He could only imagine the peaceful life he once had, as ruthlessness was born in his heart. This ruthless side of him that his future enemies would fear. They would curse the ones who had caused this man to be ruthless, however, that is all in the future.
Riku returned to the room to see Eliza comforting two women who Riku ignored a while ago. They were the ones who endured whatever the four men threw at them. The women who saw him come back couldn't help but fear him, especially when they remember how he easily killed four grown men with guns like they were kids.
They were however, still grateful so they thanked him, but it was obvious in their eyes that they were wary of him. After all, he was still a man, a powerful one at that. If he wanted them, the women wouldn't be able to think about even stopping him. They are completely powerless against him.
Riku of course, didn't want them, which made the women feel slightly relieved. Riku was simply too focused on surviving that it hadn't even occurred to him.
The zombies outside have already noticed the commotion inside the house, but Riku dealt with them along with Kohaku. As for Eliza, Riku stopped her from helping when he thought about how much she suffered.
It's not like Riku needed help in the first place. After he fought it seemed like his body couldn't take it anymore as he almost collapsed, if it wasn't for Kohaku assisting him.
The women were released and when they realized what happened, the night was filled with joyful and sorrowful cries of various women. The feeling when you have to give up your freedom was just too oppressive and despairing.
When morning came all of the women thanked Riku and they told him what their plan was. All of those who still had a will decided to stick together and they supported those who have lost their will.
The experience they had just made it hard for them to stick with Riku even if he was a nice person which Riku could understand.
Riku also found out how the men got the guns, it turns out that one of them was a policeman. He once had a partner who was a woman and when she found out how her partner treated the women they saved, he ended up killing her when she attempted to cuff him.
Riku once again felt that he was right when he killed all of them, he felt anger filling his heart once again but they were already dead. Giving the group of women the guns, Riku, Eliza and Kohaku were about to leave when they heard a woman's shout.
"Wait! Let me come with you!"
