Chapter 3 - Impartation of Knowledge.

the Elder put on a sorrowful looked as he looked to the distance seemingly reminiscing to the past.

Charles on the side, couldn't help but get curious as to why the Elder seemed to be sorrowful all of the sudden. although he knew it was rude to asked, he knew that in regards to shamelessness, the Elder is an absolute top notch, as such, learning a bit from the best, he thickened his skins as he asked the Elder in front of him.

Putting on a masked of sympathy on his faced, Charles braced himself to the consequences that might happen as he asked The Elder

"...Elder, who is the person you are talking about and what words would you like to say to that person?"

The Elder, once he heard him asked, heaved a sigh as if disappointed to Charles being disrespectful and shook his head disapprovingly. although the inside, the elder is beaming with joy as he, despite not wanting to admit it, had been in this place for a long while and had been feeling lonely as time progressed. as such, the Elder wanted to talk to this young man as much as possible as he had grown tired on wandering in this Stagnant place.

"*sigh*... you truly don't know respect, do you? well, since I'm a forgiving person ill let you off this time. although i don't know your background, clearly you do know that asking such a thing is disrespectful and shameless, right? "

Charles didn't really know how to properly respond to that as he knew the Elder is in the right. Feeling guilt and shame, Charles had an apologetic look on his face.

"im sorry for asking something i shouldn't have, Elder. i just couldn't help but get curious towards Elder as i dont know the Elders story."

The Elder had a slight approving look as he replied back.

"well, since I'm a forgiving person ill let you off this time. well since you already asked i might as well tell you, its not like its a secret. in fact most people knows my story just like how they knew my greatness."

Charles completely ignored the last words of his sentence as he looked curiously and expectantly towards the Peculiar Elder.

He took a deep breath as he contemplated how he should tell him his story.

"how do i explain this to you... hmmm..."

The stood still massaging his chin as his eyes are slightly lowered. indicating that he searching the deepest parts of his memories to tell him. After some time, the Elder snap backed from his stupor as he sat down on the white flat ground. he beckoned for Charles to sit as he sat down crossed legged.

Charles followed suit as he sat crossed legged as well.

"Before i tell you my story, tell me all you know about your knowledge in regards to cultivation. i want every knowledge that you have and dont spare any details."

'has this Elder gone senile? what is he on about could it be that being in this stagnation of whatever had eroded his mind'

Charles never knew what this cultivation is.

'has this Elder gone senile? what is he on about could it be that being in this stagnation of whatever had eroded his mind'

"brat, if you continue thinking of something rude, i might just sunk your head inwards just a tiny bit if you don't respect me. although im magnanimous and forgiving, that doesn't warranty you any rights to think of something rude to yours truly. if you don't tell me all you know, i might just sunk your head just a tiny bit so that you'll heed my warning next time."

The Elder seemed to be impatient as he beckoned to Charles to tell him everything hew knew about this thing called cultivation. Charles didn't know why the Elder seemed to be pissed for real this time but he knew that he might really sunk his head inwards if he didnt comply. thinking about the painful experience he had with this Elder sent chills down his spine as he swore to never offend this Petty and Shameless Elder ever again.

If Charles knew that the Elder actually read his thoughts just so he could boast Charles with some his ability. he might just vomit blood.

'the Fella actually had the audacity to think that this place would be enough to erode my mind? hmph! clearly Disrespecting and underestimating me,eh? if i dont put you in to your place then then yours truly would become a laughing stock if words spread out of a mere mortal soul insulting this holy grace'

The Elder thought to himself.

Charles racked his brains up trying to find in his memories were he had heard this term before. although he doesnt know anything about cultivation novels, he had a few online friends telling him to go and read some of it. he read a few chapters of it but he felt that it didnt suit his taste as he is more an 'imouto and otouto' novel readers than a ' I'm petty and offended, therefore i kill you' type of novel.

as such, his superficial knowledge about cultivation is quite shallow.

after some time pondering, Charles decided to be honest and said what he knows and what he doesnt know.

"Elder, if what im thinking is correct, then Elder must mean Cultivation as in, cultivation of qi, right? i have heard of similar topic in the past as my friends often nagged me to go and read it. although i came from a place where such power doesnt exist, their are many literature about such topics. although there is a literature about it, it is nothing more than a work of fiction in my world and it is more for entertainment than knowledge of understanding. if Elder gets what i mean."

"tsk, comepletly useless. you might as well tell me that you dont know anything at all!"

*sigh*

"well that is to be expected to be honest. although you might not know i could tell that you are nothing but an ant in my world. as there as many ants as there are a grain of sand in the desert, i could easily tell that you belong to the mortal realms."

"you might ask what this mortal realm is, right? well listen up young man. i will tell you everything you need to know about my world and the cultivation tecniques that i will also impart you so that we might just have a chance of escaping this place."
