The next morning, the second squad, who used weapons unlike the unarmed third squad, set out from the main camp.
Tower set out with the second squad as he was the only novice adventurer that could still carry their equipment. Mint and the other adventurer were too injured to even get out of their beds, much less carry a ton weight of equipment!
The previous night, the original body's Body Strengthening Cultivation had finally reached the Minor Solidification Realm.
Now, his original body alone, possessed the strength of two humans. Adding the two humans strength from the hunter and another human strength from the outlaw, Tower now could bring out a strength of five humans.
He was only five humans strength away from reaching the Intermediate Solidification Realm.
The second squad set out in the morning, but did not encounter any monster packs until they met their first monster pack at 2:00 in the afternoon.
Strangely, the silver adventurer that was leading the second squad, passed down orders to bypass this group of monsters. He did not allow his squad to engage in battle with this pack of monsters!
Tower was baffled. He turned towards the bronze adventurer that was near him and expressed his doubts.
The bronze adventurer laughed politely and clarified his doubts.
"Those pack of monsters belong to the weak category. Wasting precious equipment on them is a waste of resources, so we leave them alive for the unarmed squad. They are in charge of eradicating the weaker monsters, while we, the weapon using squad, battle stronger pack of monsters!"
Tower nodded his head, acting in a embarrassed way due to his lack of knowledge.
Seeing him expression, the bronze adventurer was duped and tried to console him with words. "Don't take it to heart. You are still young and full of potential. You have the time to accumulate more experience and knowledge!"
"Yes! I am grateful for the advice!" Tower eyes sparkled, it was as if he was motivated to conquer his hardships with his youthful spirit!
The bronze adventurer was once again duped. He felt that it was very easy to get along with this novice adventurer. This guy was respectful towards the seniors and listened to their words. Truly a good lad!
...
Half an hour later, the second squad finally met an opponent that they had to take care of. Bronze adventurers swarmed towards Tower and collected their equipment swiftly while the silver adventurer held the monsters off.
Two minutes later, the bronze adventurers were fully armed. The silver adventurer let some of the weaker monsters pass by him for his squad, and Tower finally got a look at their opponents.
They was deer type monsters. They had two huge horns on their head which curved into sharp pointy ends. When the monster charged, it was as swift as wind. Their fast speed along with their pointy horns made the monster a strong opponent. They could even kill a veteran bronze adventurer if they charged from a suitable distance!
Luckily, the silver ranked adventurer held the front line, and the monsters that passed by him, did not have enough distance to charge before facing the bronze adventurers. Without being able to charge, the danger they could bring was instantly reduced by half.
Tower nodded at the usage of this tactic. The humans of this world had already developed various types of hunting techniques and were qualified hunters.
Back on earth, due to lack of prey and suppression of public opinion, hunters could not develop well. Naturally their hunting techniques weren't as developed.
But in this world, prey was abundant, and public opinion massively supported hunting! It was natural that the hunting techniques were more advanced here, the hunters even more so.
The first hunt was successful without any suspenses and causalities. It seems the causalities that occurred the previous day was because of the unpreparedness of the adventurers.
Given enough time to prepare, the adventurers could even take on stronger preys, much less the weaker ones. This also emphasised the huge importance of a good scout who could provide them with crucial information beforehand.
After facing these monsters, the second squad did not continue forward as they were already pretty far from the main camp. They started returning to the camp.
Anyway, the starting few days was the period of scouting. Only after clarifying the habitants of all the monsters in the vicinity would the three squads start on a serious eradication. This was mainly to reduce their casualties due to unpreparedness as well as to cut down the total expenditure.
When Tower returned to the main camp it was already dark. He visited the tent in which the injured were being treated and spoke with Mint and the old novice adventurer a little, before he went out to keep watch during the night.
The next few days were similar to the first day. Tower followed the second squad that chose different directions to explore everyday.
A week later, the scouting period was over, and the camp would start their massacre soon.
Mint and others had recovered during the past week and they too would start following the squads on the coming massacre.
That night, the three silver ranked adventurers met up and discussed the plan for the following events.
The plan was simplified and explained to the three squads before they set out.
The plan was simple, the first squad was responsible to attract the prey towards the second squad, who were the main attack force, while the third squad is responsible for eradicating the fleeing monsters and the weaker monsters.
The first squad also held the responsibility to control the amount of monsters that the other two squads faced. If there were excess monsters that the other two squads can't handle, it was the first squad's responsibility to hold the excess monsters back!
The novice adventurers were mainly transporters. They were the ones that would return to the main base to resupply their food and equipment from the main base, while the three squads focussed completely on fighting with the monsters. The novice adventurers were also required to transport the wounded back to the main base!
Tower squinted his eyes. It was finally the time to execute his plan!
