"Likewise," he answered, extending his hand towards her.
Being polite, she accepted his hand and shook hands with him before sitting on the couch beside his. As her other hand was intertwined with his, Seyoon sat down beside her.
"Who did you bring along with you, CEO Jung?" Shin Taehyun questioned— the displeasure in his tone was easily perceived by Chaerin.
As she had predicted, Jinyoung was interested or else Taehyun would not have shown such a strong reaction.
"He is my boyfriend, Ryu Seyoon. I thought this would be a great opportunity to introduce him to you both, Director Han and Director Shin," Chaerin vocalised.
"Boyfriend? All of a sudden?" he questioned. "I know that you are capable of taking care of yourself, but be careful, CEO Jung. You know how you are like my own daughter to me, and I don't want you to run into a dangerous situation."
Instead of mocking those words of his, Chaerin answered, "You needn't worry about that. I am perfectly capable of differentiating between my enemies and friends."
Chaerin wanted for the man to get the subtext in those words of hers.
"Since you are late, you should have a drink, CEO Jung," Jinyoung voiced out.
Before Chaerin was able to give a response to that, Seyoon extended his hand towards the bottle, and filling the glass before him, he voiced out, "Chaerin is feeling little under the weather. I will be drinking in her stead."
Wearing a smile on her face, he raised the glass and drank down the contents in it before placing the glass on top of the table.
"Very well then," he said, "It would make me seem petty if I insist further."
"Mr. Lee Jinyoung, I have brought all the documents regarding our new project, and after you go through this, you can ask me any questions you have afterwards," Chaerin voiced out, holding up the black folder in her hand.
Jaemin stated, "Why don't you talk about business later on, CEO Jung? After all, there is plenty of time to talk about business."
"I don't think so," Chaerin replied, "I have something to get to by two hours. Therefore, I wish to resolve it as soon as possible."
Slamming his hand on the table lightly, Taehyun stared at Chaerin, and to Chaerin, it was quite obvious how he was trying to threaten her. Nonetheless, she remained unfazed by it.
"Don't be in such a rush. Whatever you have in your schedule can be postponed. Didn't you say this is quite important to you. Since Mr. Lee Jinyoung is kind enough to help you, why don't you just give him some face?"
"How am I not giving him face? I do recall that I was called here to talk about business."
Lee Jinyoung let out a chuckle and said, "You are an interesting lady. I would like to know people better before doing business. That makes me feel quite secure and comfortable."
Hearing those words from him caused her to stand up, and bowing at him, she voiced out, "I apologise. I am quite busy and have no time get to know someone. Maybe this wouldn't not work out. Farewell then."
