Having her door harshly pushed open attracted her attention, and lifting her head up from the documents, she watched as her grandfather stepped in. His angry stance made her wonder about the reason.
Creases appeared between both of her grandfather's eyebrows while his face appeared to be darkened.
After looking at her with pity in his eyes, Minseok closed the door, leaving her with her grandfather. Pushing her chair back, Chaerin stood up and made her way to her grandfather.
"Chairman Jung, what's the matter?" she questioned.
As her grandfather stood in front of her table, he slammed his hand on top of the desk, creating a loud noise. Some of the materials on top of the table jumped up due to his actions.
"Have you lost your mind!? How could try to deal with Jinyoung!? Jung Chaerin, I didn't think that you would be that much of a fool! If you were in that lack of a money, you could have come to me instead of searching for that fox! Stay away from that Jinyoung!"
She wondered how her grandfather got the word of this. Even Chaerin wasn't aware of it until last night, and she made sure to conceal everything that happened.
"Chairman Jung, don't worry," Chaerin stated, "I didn't agree to sign the contract with Jinyoung."
"It seems that you still have some senses! Next time don't go to those shady places to visit anyone! Do you want to give me a heart attack at this age!? Should I hire a bodyguard around you?"
"I don't see a need for that, Chairman Jung. I am perfectly fine, and there was no danger in the situation tomorrow. From next time onward, I will make sure to be extra careful so that it doesn't bother you," Chaerin stated, "I apologise for all of the trouble."
"Anyway, for this project, tell me how much you need. I will be investing in it," her grandfather vocalised— which sounded more of an order.
"There is no need for that. I have already got—"
Before she was able to continue further, her grandfather said, "Shut up! I don't want you to make such stupid decisions in the future. I will get Secretary Kim to send me all of the necessary details."
As Chaerin was about to decline it, he added, "What? Do you have more to say? If you are grateful, then bring that boyfriend of yours home next time for dinner."
"That won't be possible for both of us are busy," Chaerin stated, "You gave your word on to not disturb us further."
"You brat!" he voiced out, "Whatever."
With that, he turned his back on the woman and made his way over to the door. Following behind him, Chaerin opened the door for him to walk out.
Chaerin noticed Minseok who stood beside the door and bowed once the chairman walked away. She made sure to glare towards the male.
As if noticing that intense stare of Chaerin, Minseok wore a bright smile on his face before meeting her gaze.
