The match was well fought. They were very well, evenly matched. Arnos repaired himself using his spell which surprised a few people. He used Brief Cut and Shadow Vanish and to finally end the battle. He used Force Blast.
BOOM! The opponent flew and hit a nearby tree. Blood tricked down his head. He coughed out some blood. The guy pulled himself up from the ground but before he could do anything, the leader stopped him.
"Well, you have a very powerful lad here. You won so I'll let you guys off. Here, you can take the credit for destroying the Queen Thorn ant's nest. We don't need the rewards."
"But Leader-"
"We don't need it." He said very sharply and clear this time.
Gulp. The boy who had just spoken up swallowed his words. Just like that The Crescent Guild just left without complaining or saying a word.
After they were out of sight. Arnos was thrown multiple questions from each end. He tried to answer them as best as he could.
"Everyone let Arnos rest. He just had a high match with a High Elite. Let him cool down. Anyways since they gave us permission, let's head back to our Loswon."
'So that's what that vehicle was called.. A Loswon.'
As they tramped and hiked through the forest, one of them realized that the compass they had been using was broken. They had been walking in circles and circles. Suddenly the compass started to spin like crazy, one way or the other and exploded.
"Quick. Everyone be on guard. Some high intellectual beast or creature is coming." Hunter whispered but somehow everyone could hear him clearly. They could even heard their own hearts thumping and thumping. No one moved and no one said a word.
We silently crept among the tall trees and huge bushes. Waiting patiently for whatever was to come.
A dreadful screech flew out. 10 Thorn Ant Guards leapt out. They attacked them with all their strength.
"Impossible we destroyed the nest... How?!" A guild mate shouted out.
And there out of the towering trees, loomed a shadow. So big, much larger than the Thorn Ant Guards. An ant with lethal thorns sticking out and a toxic substance at the end. It's shell was rock hard and it looked viscous. It was definitely mad.
"IT'S THE QUEEN! WE'RE OUTNUMBERED. EVERYONE RETREAT AND HIDE." Hunter yelled out.
They obeyed his instructions and spread out. They went into pairs.
Hunter with Landon.
Scarlet and Jenny
Colin and Lucy
Fredrick and Alexander
And finally Nitro and Spyro
Unfortunately for Arnos, he didn't have time to run away with someone so he went his own way. 2 Thorn Ant Guards followed each pair. Arnos believed that they could defeat the Ant Guards by themselves.
He paused for a second to think, to think of a plan. Should he help or go after the Queen. After some intense thinking and stupid decisions. He went to attack the Queen. After all it was the Queen Thorn Ant who was summoning all the Guards. Might as well eliminate the biggest threat, right?
Arnos ran back to which he remembered, the last place he saw the Queen. He didn't have time to turn around when he felt an unbearable pain shoot through his shoulder.
"Ughhhhhhh!!" He clutched his arm. It throbbed like crazy and looked like it was swollen.
Arnos went back into focus. He leaped into the air and used Shadow Vanish. Then he ran across the trees and slashed down. No use the shell was way too hard. He used Force Blast and managed to make the teeniest of cracks in the shell. The Queen was not happy, she growled and was going to summon more guards but instead yelled in pain.
It seemed like she could only summon ten at a time. It meant that the other ten was still alive! Arnos attacked the Queen using a number amount of strokes and uppercuts. When he got the chance he would use Brief Cut which managed to break some of the shell.
Eventually the shell broke, even though it had taken awhile. Arnos leapt and used Triple Slash, followed by a Brief Cut straight after. He had already used his Swift Mending and was waiting for the cool down to end.
As he was prepared to end this monster. The Queen Thorn Ant screeched and dirt grew out form the ground. The dirt tried to grab onto Arnos and suck him under but Arnos used Force Blast and managed to get the dirt away but it had all been a distraction.
The Queen Ant was behind him and bit hard into his back. Blood seeped through his clothes and he got knocked way back. He fell into a couple of arms. It seemed like the others had already taken care of their Ant Guards.
His head hurt too much and his back was in mental pain. He was going to pass out soon. From lack of energy and from intense exhaustion. A puddle of blood formed underneath him. The last thing he remembered was Lucy trying to heal him.
Arnos sat up alerted and wary of his surroundings. The room didn't feel familiar but then he saw Hunter.
"I'm glad your alive."
"You know what you did was stupid but I have to give you credit for doing so much damage on her with no ones help." He said.
"You said you wanted a low profile but I don't think after what happened. You'll be having a low profile." Hunter chuckled.
"I'm glad you're well. The rewards are in your room. Along with some food. It's the afternoon and you've been out for awhile. Take care." Then Hunter silently left the room without letting Arnos say anything.
Arnos climbed out of the medical bed he was in. He looked at himself. He saw no scars and no injuries. Until he turned around. On his back was a nasty scar. Which must've been from the Queen Thorn Ant's bite. It seemed like some spells just couldn't erase the scars. Being honest Arnos found the scar kinda cool to have.
He walked down the hallways and made it safely to his room without being seen. He saw a pouch with a label attached. It was the bounty rewards.
He opened up. In there was some personal gloves which were used for combat. It would be very helpful for gripping his tralent and if he ever lost his weapon in a battle. His Silent gear didn't come with gloves. Since he contributed a lot, he earned himself 5000 gold coins. It was a lot of money since Master Romeus has taken all his money when he left. He had wanted Arnos to be independent and reliable on his own self.
He changed into something comfortable and ate the food silently. It was delicious and quickly finished it all up. After some people took the plates away. He went to take a warm bath. Soap, hot water, the dream. He sat there for awhile and wondered about life.
Then he got out and dried himself off and just lied on his bed. Even though he was passed out for almost 2 days. He still felt so tired. Not long after Arnos fell asleep.
