Sitting while watching that last image she sunk further into her sadness. She must be dead right? That man must have killed her and she didn't even get to say goodbye to anyone… or even tell Varick what she felt for him…
The images continued to float passed her but the one single image still remained, to her it was the only one she wanted to see but not like this. She wanted to feel his warmth again, see him grow stronger, see the world with him… grow old…
All of a sudden she felt a pull on her body as she sat there. She stood up and followed the pull, she felt as if there might be something more in this place now. She glanced back one more time at that image of Varick, lowering her head with a sigh she continued forward. Each step she took, the feeling of the pull got stronger and stronger.
She closed her eyes and let the last of her tears fall at this moment as if she was resigning to her fate of death. She stepped through a large doorway that opened up into a gigantic corridor, within the corridor were various relics, paintings, valuable treasures, and other things of the like. She had stopped at one painting and realized what she was seeing, it was a fiery scene of flame and death. The following paintings showed scenes very similar but on different worlds.
She came upon a scene depicting the escaping ships with those lizard people chasing them from a long distance away. The next showed them landing on a world in safety, following that was a scene she never knew about.. 'Is that my … are those my parents? But where am… Jun… that must be my mother still pregnant with me… but how?'
She continued to contemplate when she was pulled again and saw the next scene of her brother lying unconscious being carried by an old sage. And she was also being carried a different direction away from him by another. She continued following until she came upon a group painting of all of her friends but the next scene startled her again. There she was in that cave surrounded by a purple fog and encased in something like a cocoon… 'This isn't right that's not me… I look different but how can that be hadn't I died?'
The last painting was blank… a sudden realization hit her.. She wasn't dead… just suspended… Now the question is how to get out of here and get back to her friends. Excitement surged through her and the image of Varick appeared in her mind again as a faint blush surged up her fair skin making her flush with heat.
Now that she knows about what she feels she wont let him get away from her again… she never wanted to separate from him again. That was too painful to go through for her own soul. She turned back and looked down the corridor once more then turned back and pushed on the door. Only it refused to open, confused by this she turned back and noticed that among the relics and other things they had a faint glow about them.
Curious, she walked back and examined them more closely. Within the relics there was one in particular that called out to her, as she got closer to it the light is emitted began to glow even more fiercely and like a moth to a flame she was entranced by it.
Within her hands was a pair of earrings, they were gold hooped with an elegant depiction around the hoop itself, dangling from the center of each was a delicate chain and at the end was a teardrop deep blue gem with a tiny engraving at the bottom of it of a Unicorn head.
She hooked them into her ears and the instant she placed her hands back down a burst of energy exploded around her then began to seep within her skin. She closed her eyes and absorbed all of it within her body. When she opened her eyes they glowed and the look on her face was Solomon and calm.
She turned once more and walked back to the door, the instant she came near it opened on it's own allowing her to exit the corridor. Once she fully passed through she entered a large entertaining hall. Her footsteps echoed within this large space but it didn't feel empty to her. It was as if the place was alive! Looking at all of the large engraved columns, decorated walls, armor stands, weapon stands, tapestries depicting battles, and other things adorning the hall she was almost nostalgic.
In truth she had never been in a place like this before but she felt as if she belonged here… just as she was thinking about it a shadow began to take shape, then another, as they faded into clarity she realized there were about four figures in front of her. Two of them were men, one was an elegant lady that resembled herself, and a little girl with a jade pendant around her neck. Seeing that pendant she subconsciously touched the one under her armor.
She looked back up and questions swirled within her crystal like eyes… almost as if sensing her concern the elegant lady walked up to her and held her in an embrace with tears flowing down her cheeks. She stepped back a bit and wiped her own tears then looking into that similar looking face, she smiled,
"My name is Qilin Aylwen, I was… am your mother." She smiled again but it was a complicated smile. She wasn't really here in this realm with her. In truth she wasn't even a ghost or of any type… just a memory left within her daughters mind. She glanced at the two men beside her and smiled again as she turned back to her daughter.
"There is much you need to know but there is not enough time we can only tell you what is important now. You activated your royal blood rite."
