Howling in pain, the man roared and shot up like a bullet while launching himself at her piqued with an inferno of rage. His large hand grasped itself around Kirin's dainty neck and slammed her to the ground forging out a muffled grunt from her delicate lips. She fiercely glared at him while restraining herself from making him see her pain.
"Haha, now what little girl? You think you're so tough… huh?" He placed even more pressure on her neck as he lewdly stared at her body once again. Just as he was about to grab for her armor to rip it off of her, a loud bang erupted from her body along with a brilliant purple light that emanated from within her.
That bang had a force stronger than anything they had ever encountered before and it violently tossed the man away from her and slammed him against the wall, causing the man to vomit blood from his mouth and slump awkwardly to the floor.
Nearly in an unconscious state, Kirin, with her eyes closed, began to rise into the air as if she was being supported by an invisible force lifting her body up. The light glare even more fiercely causing the rest to shield their eyes while attempting to peer at the flawless girl. Wave after wave of light coursed in and out of her body filling the surrounding area in that purple hue like a roiling fog in the night.
Suspended in mid air, Kirin began to change, her hair grew longer, her body became more lean with muscles growing taut and accentuating every womanly curve adding an even deeper allure to her features. Her eyes shot open but it was as if there was no life within them, just the brilliant glow that could pierce one's soul and destroy it.
As if a wind suddenly erupted within the cave her hair and clothes fluttered and twisted around her body as she slowly began to stand upright while still levitating off the ground. The light which emanated off of her began to swirl and wrap her body like a shell. Just as it entirely encased her body another boom erupted and the force behind it slammed into everyone present. Once they were flung to the walls blood sprayed the ground from the impact of the force and each person slowly drifted into death.
Still suspended and encased within the light, Kirin slowly closed her eyes once more as she drifted into a coma like state. While in this state her mind began to drift into a new state of being. Within she saw that her surroundings were pitch black. Looking around there was not a single source of light, so she began to walk forward, it was almost as if she was being pulled by a force she could not see.
Voices rang out around her, voices of those she has encountered, those which seemed the loudest to her were the negative voices. There had been many instances in herlife where she had been hunted down, beaten, ignored… they surrounded her in this black void.
The haunting sounds within this place seemed to suffocate her, she knelt down and hugged her head attempting to drown out those voices. Just as those sounds died down images began to appear in front of her, images of her past, her clans past, as she looked at the images swirling around her, she focused on one she did not recognize.
Within the dark night of a land she had never seen, a large group shuttled themselves quietly into an underground passage. Once inside they moved silently into a large cavern which held massive advanced ships. Before entering the last ship a beautiful woman with long silver hair knelt down to her young daughter that had crystal eyes and the same hair as her mother, she dropped a necklace around her neck, it was a small jade pendant in the shape of a unicorn strung onto a slender gold chain, she then whispered into the girls ear. What was said couldn't be heard but the look in the woman's eyes was as if she was placing the hope of their race into that little girl. The little girl nodded her head and entered the ship.
The image then shifted and a planet appeared with raging infernos of fire engulfing everything, plants, animals, and the inhabitants alike. The screaming rang into Kirin's ears as she could do nothing but watch the tragedy unfold in front of her, unable to help, change, or even look away.
Suddenly the face of the enemy of this planet slowly faded into view, the image was grotesque as she had never seen the likes before. It had a long semi twisted, scaled body. The face was elongated, with yellow slitted eyes, and a forked tongue slithering between long, sharp pointed teeth. The lizard-like appearance was truly frightening.
Just as she was attempting to wonder about the identity and why it was relevant to her, the name echoed within her soul. 'Moura'
She frowned… "Moura…" whispering to herself about the existence of the face she was seeing. The images disappeared at this time and the black void she was in began to show her a pin dot like light in the distance beckoning her. As she drifted towards it all of the fond memories she had experienced began to surface and collide with her existence.
Images, voices, sounds, the feel and touch of things and people rushed towards her as the light began to envelope her surroundings. She suddenly halted in her steps when the faces of her friends showed themselves, complicated emotions began to swirl in her crystalline like eyes. Peering at each face, suddenly a tear fell as one image stayed with her.
In that image was a pair of ruby red eyes, unkempt silver hair, and a firm muscular body along with the fine chiseled features of his face. Her brother Jun smiling at her, just as she reached out to touch the image in front of her it disappeared. What replaced it caused a stream of tears to fall and make her hang her head for a moment as she felt she would never see that face again, hear his words, feel his touch. She never thought about it before, just how important this man was to her. She never thought that she deserves anything in this life, she was not worth anything. Why did these people follow her? Protect her? Want to dedicate themselves to her? Who was she?
A memory surfaced in her mind..
"Kirin!"
She heard his voice yell for her in a panic.. Just as she was about to fall, he grabbed her and pulled her so hard she lost her balance and fell into his strong embrace.
She heard his gentle voice soon after that.
"Em, I apologize, are you hurt?"
Confused at the unknown emotion embroiling into her chest, she had lowered her head quickly and avoided his gaze. He called again even softer and gently lifted her chin so as to allow her to meet his gaze.
"Kirin, are you ok? Please answer me, I do worry for you."
It was then when she met his Azure blue eyes, that she lost all ability to think and just let herself drown in those orbs staring back at her. His gentle but firm hold on her was warm, comforting, but at the same time it evoked something she didn't understand at that time. She lost almost all ability to think and control her own actions at that point.
Now she began to understand as the tears refused to stop falling as she focused her attention on his Azure blue eyes and dirty blonde hair, coupled with his dazzling features and sturdy body. But it was more than his looks.. He stirred something inside her, a feeling she could never describe with perfect accuracy. She recalled the last of that memory, 'He began to lower his head towards her as she raised her head upwards lost in his eyes.'
