As Thomas sat on top of a roof wearing a newly made blue jacket he yawned and said "If this thing doesn't appear soon I think I'll just give up on it." As some purple particles flew past his head he glanced at them and mumbled "Looks like something is finally happening." Thomas watched as the particles moved to a single place in the sky and then watched as more and more particles came from every direction. Thomas stood up and watched as the particles came together and began to form a purple sphere in the sky. Once the sphere was fully formed it tore in the middle and then opened up showing what looked to be a lush forest filled with plants. Thomas peered into it for a few moments and then asked "Is a dungeon supposed to be this... green?" Thomas scratched his head for a moment and mumbled "If this is it I better go before it vanished again."
Thomas began to stretched as he smiled and said "This might be just what I need to kill off some of my boredom." Thomas pushed off of the roof and leapt towards the portal as he said "I can be as reckless as I want and I won't even get yelled at." Thomas began to smile wider as he said "This is gonna be really fun." Once he went through the portal it closed and the purple particles began to spilt apart from one another heading into multiple directions. Thomas glanced behind himself from where he came in from and seen nothing but tress and bushes as he said "Looks like my ticket out of here is gone." As he turned back around he began to walk off as he mumbled "Not that I planned on leaving for a while." While walking he heard the feint sound of a branch moving behind himself. Thomas glanced behind himself at the noise for a moment and then said "Maybe I'm hearing things?"
Thomas thought for a moment and said "No, that can't be it." Thomas continued to walk as he said "I know I'm not being followed, I can't smell anything besides plants, so there's no way someone is following me, besides, as far as I know, I'm the only other person here." Thomas let out a sigh and said "It's not worth worrying over, I'm sure I'll find out what it is soon." As some tree branches pierced through both of his shoulders he let out a grunt of pain and mumbled "The trees are monsters?" The branches that went through his shoulders quickly entangled him and held him to a tree. Thomas glanced at his shoulders and mumbled "I don't think I've ever been as relieved to not have the others around as I am now." As a woman stepped out from behind a tree Thomas stared at her and said "Green hair and covered with leaves, what the hell are you?"
The woman continued to approach him until she was about a foot away from him. Thomas peered down at her from where he was on the tree and asked "If your not gonna tell me your name can you at least tell me what you want and why you didn't kill me yet?" The woman stared at him and said "I did not kill you because I can not tell if your a person or an animal." Thomas glanced up trying to stare at his own ears as he asked "What would you have done if I wasn't an animal?" The woman stood there as several other branches flew towards Thomas and then stopped an inch away as she said "I would've killed you." Thomas stared at the branches that were an inch away from him without even batting an eye and asked "Is this some kinda threat, if so then you should try something else, this is getting pretty common."
The woman made the branches go back to their original location as she said "It's no threat, I mean you no harm, since your an animal." The woman raised one of her hands and said "I've deemed you harmless, you're free to go now." As the branches pulled themselves out of Thomas's shoulders he fell to the ground with his shoulder bleeding and mumbled "I just got this jacket" in a disappointed tone. Thomas glanced up at the woman as she said "It's been a while since anyone has ever come here, let alone an animal who can speak." The dryad kneeled down and asked "What are you doing here?" Thomas thought for a moment and said "I'm supposed to be looking for a spell or something." As branches flew towards his back he shrugged and said "But I'm not really interested in it, I'd much rather just do what I want and have fun." As the branches stopped the woman said "So your not like those pesky humans?"
The branches began to move away as she said "I may have misjudged you, please forgive me." As Thomas stood up he said "Don't worry about it, people have been trying to kill me, so it's nothing new." The woman stared at him and said "I bet the human race is trying to hunt you to extinction." Thomas shrugged and said "They're giving it their best shot." Thomas stared at her and said "Before I forget to ask, what's your name?" The dryad stared at him for a moment and said "My... name?" Thomas nodded and said "Yup, since I'll probably be here a while I might as well learn your name." The woman stood there for a moment and began to think as she said "My name?"
As she stood there she thought about another person who stood in front of a much tinier version of herself and patted her on her head as he said "Your a cute little thing aren't you." The man crouched down to her and asked "So what's your name?" The girl stared at the man without saying a word as the man said "Not much of a talker, that's fine, I'll just call you Maple then." The woman grinned and said "My name is Maple, it was a name given to me by a very special person." Thomas stared at her and said "Maple, that's an interesting name." Thomas stared at her with a smile and said "Well my name's Thomas, nice to meet ya." Maple stared at him and said "Thomas, I'll try to remember that." Maple stared at him and said "Now that we're acquainted I'm going to continue taking care of the forest."
Thomas began to follow her as she walked off he said "So this really is outside then?" Maple glanced at him and nodded as she said "The man who gave me my name created this place for me after he saved me." Thomas glanced around and said "He created all of this?" Maple nodded and said "Yes, he made this all, but unfortunately... I don't think I'll be able to see him again... since... my life is so long compared to a normal person's." Thomas nodded and said "Yeah, I know what you mean, I obtained the secret to immortality and couldn't use it against them, so I gave up on the idea and destroyed it." Maple glanced back at him and said "Obtaining immortality? What good is it if you have to witness everyone you know around you die." Thomas shrugged and said "I know, it's not great at all, and that's why I didn't force it upon them."
Maple stared at him and said "As a dryad I'll continue to live as long as there are plants around me, so I understand what your saying perfectly." Thomas nodded and said "Yeah, but at the rate I'm going I'll end up outliving Everton and everything." Maple stared at him and said "I don't think an animal such as your self would live as long as your thinking." Thomas stared at her and asked "Would you believe me if I said I had thousands of years sucked away from my life span." Maple stared at him and said "Thousands of years sounds a little unbelievable but I'm guessing what you just said was the truth." Thomas nodded as he said "Yup, she occasionally uses me to extend her own life, which is fine but I don't see why she'd want to live for so long." Maple shook her head and said "She must be a foolish human."
Thomas thought about Alice for a moment and said "She not exactly human, but I guess she's a lot closer to human then I am so..." Maple stared at him and said "Then you've been having your life stolen from you by a monster." Thomas shook his head and said "Of course not, it just sounds that way." Maple glanced away from him and began to walk off into another direction as she said "Alright, I've heard enough, I think we should go our separate ways now, besides I still have work to do." Just as Maple was walking away she said "And be sure to wrap your shoulders, since your not a dryad like me you'll need to treat your wounds in order to survive." Thomas stared at one of his shoulders and said "I thought I wasn't gonna get yelled at about my injuries today, who would've guessed that I was gonna run into someone else to yell at me for my injuries."
