Once Maple left Thomas wrapped his shoulders while leaning up against a tree. As he wrapped his shoulders he sighed and said "This pain hurts more then some of my other injuries, was Poppy reducing the amount of pain I felt before?" Thomas stood up as he mumbled "Whatever, I'll just deal with it." As Thomas wandered around through the forest of the dungeon another purple gate opened high above the forest. Thomas stared at it and watched as dozens of creatures fell from it. Thomas teleported below it and stared up at the creatures as he titled his head and said "This place... it has a disturbance of some sort." As the creatures hit the ground they glanced at Thomas. Thomas stared at them and said "Red, kinda similar to Scarlett." Thomas crouched down to it and said "You must be imps."
As Thomas stared at it it began to move towards him with a makeshift knife. Just as it reached Thomas a root from a tree uprooted and pierced through its back covering Thomas in blood. Thomas stared at the root that was a few inches off from his face and said "This seems familiar." Maple walked up beside him and said "It's you again, do you have something to do with the increase of strange beings falling out of the sky?" Thomas glanced at her and said "I don't think I did anything to cause this, but I'm pretty sure these things are imps, they aren't friendly and would happily kill us if given the chance." Maple crossed her arms and said "I can tell, they harbor much more ill will then a human and animal." As Maple turned around more roots and branches impaled the imps lifting them off the ground and leaving their now strung up corpses full of holes.
As Maple left she said "Dealing with animals is much simpler, since if they harbor ill will they either feel threatened or hungry, and they won't harm the forests unless it's for their own survival." Thomas stood straight up and teleported beside her and began to walk with her as he said "Sounds like you don't like anything but plants and animals." Maple nodded and said "Yes, humans cause this place harm and many other beings also wish to harvest whatever they want from it." Thomas continued to walk with her as he said "But plenty of other creatures take things from this place to, don't they?" Maple nodded and said "Yes, however, the humans have been attacking my forest a lot more then usual lately, and all of those strange purple things keep dropping humans and other creatures here." Thomas watched as another opened up beside them and pointed at it as he said "You mean those portals?"
Maple glared at it and said "This one... I can sense a lot more hatred from it." As a giant claw stomped out from the other side Thomas stared at it and said "Even its claws look a lot more angry." As a giant flaming lion with wings stepped through Thomas said "That can't be healthy for the forest." Maple glanced at Thomas and said "Nows not the time to talk, you should get as far away from here as you can." Thomas glanced at her and said "But it's on fire, won't it just burn your trees if they get close to it?" Maple glanced at the nearby burning trees and said "I should be able to harden its bark enough to withstand its attacks but putting it out might take a while." Thomas stood there for a moment and said "I could deal with the fires." Maple glanced at him and said "Then quickly put them out." Thomas smiled as he said "Sure, but I want in on the fight to." Maple sighed and said "Fine."
Thomas began to blast water into the air as maple sighed and said "I know I said I preferred animals but I'd much prefer some that aren't so aggressive." As the water rained down on them Thomas began to run towards the line with his hand still up while shouting "This is some low tier magic so it won't drain me much, but it will become an issue if I have to keep it active for so long." Thomas leapt and punch the lion knocking it into a few trees uprooting them and leaving the lion on its side. Maple waved her hands towards the trees and made them reroof themselves as she shouted "Be careful with the forest, we're trying to protect it, not destroy it." Thomas stared at the massive fire lion with a smile and said "Your way bigger then the cats I'm used to." Thomas put both of hands behind himself and began to push much more water through both of them propelling himself forward as he shouted "I'll fix what I destroy, you can hold me to it, and I'll try to keep damage to the minimum."
As the lion shot fire out of its mouth at Thomas he aimed his hands beneath him and increased the amount of water even more creating a small crater beneath him. Once he was above the fire lion he stopped the water and then put his hands behind himself and propelled himself down towards the fire lion with an even greater speed and even more water. Just as Thomas was about to make contact with the fire lion he stopped the water and prepared to punch it as he smiled and shouted "I've been wanting to try this out for a while now!" As his fist hit the lion it was pushed into the ground making a much larger dent in the ground and leaving the lion in the bottom of it. Thomas landed on the edge of the pit and said "Alright, let's go again, I think I can still go a few matches." Thomas stood there in awkward silence as he asked "Did... did it die?" Thomas stared at it for a few moments and said "It hardly did anything!"
Thomas glanced back at Maple who was knelt down by the trees. As Thomas walked towards her he mumbled "I bet she's gonna view the trees as people, I better not say something like I'll replace them." Thomas knelt down beside her and nervously said "So... um..." Thomas bowed down in front of her and said "I'm sorry for destroying the land and the trees, they probably meant a lot to you, but I can fix the land, and I can probably make some more trees grow almost instantly." Thomas sat there in silence for a few moments waiting for an answer and then heard Maple say "Unfortunately these loses were unavoidable, although I am strong, I can't do anything against a beast that wields fire." Thomas glanced up at her nervously and asked "Does this mean your not mad and that I can repair the damage I've done?"
Maple stared at him and said "I suppose that would be for the best, although it would probably take years for the forest to become like it once was." Thomas put his hands to the ground and mumbled "This is gonna be exhausting." Thomas glanced at Maple and said "If I fall over I probably won't be able to move, so please move me to a safe location i until I recover." Maple nodded and said " O-okay." Thomas took a deep breathe and said "Welp, here goes nothing." As the ground began to take its previous form the lion was covered, never to be seen again. Once the ground was completely fixed Thomas began to breathe heavily as he said "I've never done it to this extent before... it's really exhausting." As Thomas stood back up he stumbled back a bit and said "Okay... next step." Thomas held some seeds and said "I'll just infuse enough mana into them to make a delayed reaction then toss them."
As he threw the seeds he fell on his face and mumbled "Too... much... mana." As the seeds hit the ground they began to sprout into full trees before their eyes. Maple stared at Thomas and said "That's really amazing, but... are you alright?" Thomas continued to breath heavily as he said "Yeah... I'm fine... but I pushed my mana to the limit." Thomas's eyes began to close as he said "Not... good... I'm going into... hibernation mode." Once he was completely asleep Maple sat down beside him and said "He can also make plants grow faster, is he also a dryad?" Maple glanced up into the sky and said "If he is a dryad maybe I should teach him that spell, although, if he isn't a dryad and I teach him he might turn against me and kill me once he gets what he wants." Maple stared at him and said "He might even use it to destroy the forest." Maple thought about how he bowed before her and said "Or maybe he really doesn't mean any harm to me."
