As Thomas and Ruby waited patiently in the subconscious Malice asked "How long will she take?" Thomas glanced at Ruby and said "I don't know, and we don't even know if your allowed to go yet, so just be patient and wait." As Emera reappeared she stared at Them and said "I tried getting the gods to allow both of you to come but they said I should only bring Thomas." Thomas glanced at Ruby and said "Well I guess it'll just be me going." Thomas walked beside Emera and faced Ruby and waved as he said "I'll see you in a bit, so just wait here for a bit." As Thomas and Emera vanished Ruby glared at where they were and said "Those pesky gods always think they can do whatever they please." Ruby began to walk off as she said "Fine then, I'll wait in that hot spring he has here."
As Thomas and Emera arrived on the edge of a floating island surrounded by clouds he said "This is a lot different then I imagined." Emera began to walk off as she said "Stay close to me, I don't know if any gods will try to harm you if they see you by yourself." As Emera glanced behind herself to see where Thomas was she stared at him wading his hands in the clouds while leaning off the ledge. Emera stared at him annoyed and said "You know if you fall off you'll be doomed to fall for all eternity, there's no bottom to this place." Thomas stared at her and asked "Couldn't we just hop to a different dimension? Emera shook her head and said "Unfortunately no, this is the method usually chosen to banish a god." Thomas stood back up and said "What about flying?" Emera shook her head and said "No one is able to fly here, not even the gods."
Emera grabbed Thomas by his shoulder and began to squeeze it as she said "Now then, let's get a move on before they decide to banish me." Thomas stared at his shoulder and said "You can let go, I'm not a child." Emera began to drag him as she said "Not a chance, you'll wander off if I let go of you." Thomas teleported in front of her and said "Fine, I'll stick close to." Emera stared at him surprised and quickly pointed at him while shouting "How did you do that?" Thomas stared at her confused and said "Do what?" Emera shook her head and said "Never mind, we don't have time for this." Emera walked past him and said "Come on, we need to hurry, the gods don't like waiting." As Thomas followed her he glanced at some of the other floating islands, they were all connected with bridges and some even had waterfalls pouring off the edge.
Thomas stared at some of the islands and asked "Why are their so many?" Emera glanced at him and said "Each one of those islands is owned by a god, each island is special and made to the gods liking, it's best if we avoid those and stay in the plaza of the gods though." As Emera and Thomas arrived at a giant white door he asked "Is this the place?" Emera nodded and said "I'm not allowed to enter, so I'm unable to help you beyond this point, good luck." As Thomas put his hand on the door he appeared in a massive circular room surrounded by gods in just about every direction. Thomas glanced at the white Ford behind himself and said "Pretty fancy doors you got their." Thomas glanced up at the gods who began to whisper as he asked "So why'd you wanna see me?" After a few seconds a female god directly in front of Thomas said "Silence, we will explain why you are here momentarily."
Thomas made a chair appear behind himself and sat down as he said "Alrighty then, I'll wait a bit then." The gods around him all let out sounds of amazement as they said things such as how did he do that or using such things in the place of gods. Thomas glanced around and mumbled "That's twice I've gotten a reaction like this, what's so special about it?" The female god stared at Thomas once again and said "You, the one who goes by the name of Thomas, we the gods have made a mistake and are hoping you can fix it in our stead." Thomas leaned back in his chair and said "But you gods are way stronger then me, so why do I have to help?" The female god scowled at him and said "We gods can't do anything unless allowed or required." Thomas stared at her and said "What about Emera, she usually shows and goes as she pleases."
The female god stared at him and said "That's because she was required to distract you." Thomas stared at her and said "Distract me from what?" The female god slammed her hands on the desk in front of her and pointed at him while shouting "She's been distracting you so you don't have any run ins with the demon lord!" Thomas stared at her and said "Damn, not even the gods are willing to trust that I won't do the one thing they asked me to not do." The female god sat back down and said "Now then, can I say what I want you to do for us?" Thomas shrugged and said "Sure." The female god smirked and said "We let a massive demon beast into some other dimension that doesn't even have the capabilities to scratch it, we want you to kill it." Thomas stared at the roof of the building and said "Sounds like a lot of work." Thomas thought for a second and said "Give me a second to think."
As he leaned back on the chair Thomas smirked and said "After thinking for a bit, doing what you asked is completely useless to me." As four male gods held spears to his throat the female god shouted "Don't, we still have room for negotiations." One of them glanced at her and said "But, we're always able to get someone else to do this job." The female god pointed to him and said "Had you been even slightly closer to him neither of you four would be alive right now." The female god stared at him and said "I'll take it you've already figured out that we aren't allowed to use any of our abilities on you since we've invited you here as a guest?" Thomas stared at her and said "I wouldn't have killed any of them, but yeah, I figured it out a while ago." The female god sighed and said "If you defeat this beast for us before it can cause any problems we can promise you a few of those ancient fruit things that you usually find."
Thomas thought about it for a second and said "Sure, that works for me." Thomas glanced around and said "Another thing, the time moves a lot faster here doesn't it?" The female god nodded and said "Yes, but don't think we won't be able to kill you, if you pose any ill will towards us we will be granted access to our abilities and we will smite you down." Thomas smiled wider and said "Of course, I kinda guessed that as well, but as long as I don't attack any of you for no reason this dimension won't allow your abilities." The female god stared at him and said "Then you should leave after getting some equipment." Thomas fell backwards in the chair and then sat up quickly as he said "Equipment?" The female god walked out from behind the desk and towards him as she said "Of course, your current equipment wouldn't be able to scratch it."
The female god stuck her hand out and said "Now get up so we can go grab you a holy sword." Thomas grabbed her hand as she helped him up he said "A holy sword?" The female god let go of his hand and walked towards the white door as she said "My name is Ona the goddess of gods." Thomas began to follow her as he said "So your like the boss of this place?" Ona nodded and said "Yes, I run things around here." As Ona opened the door she said "Sorry about teleporting you earlier, the dimension gave us our powers for a moment so we reacted like that since we couldn't detect your presence." As Thomas and Ona stepped outside Emera stared at her and said "Please forgive me for his insolence, I'm sure he caused you some sort of trouble!" Ona stared at her and said "The matters already been settled, you can breathe easy." Emera glanced at her and said "Then your not gonna banish me?" Ona shook her head and said "You did as I asked of you."
