Chapter 260 - Chapter 260 The Demon Lord’s Undead Army Stikes

As Thomas walked around with Mira and Mary shopping carrying some bags he sneezed and said "Maybe I should've stayed in bed today." Mira stared at him and said "If your still feeling unwell you should head back." Thomas shook his head and said "No, I have to get used to moving around with five tons of weight on me." Mira stared at him and said "if Daisy knew you were doing this I bet she'd be really mad." Thomas nodded and said "Yeah she would." As a man approached Thomas he asked "Are you gonna help fend off that army the demon lord is sending after us?" Thomas stared at the man for a few seconds and asked "Who are you?" The man stared at Thomas and said "I'm no one special I was just curious, I heard that your really strong so I figured we'd be safe so long as your there." Mary ran up to Thomas and asked "Can we some picture books too?" Thomas nodded and said "Sure I don't mind." The man continued to stare at Thomas as he asked "So are you going to protect the city and all of us?" Thomas glanced at the man and said "Probably not, my current condition makes it pretty easy for me to die." The man stared at Thomas and said "Oh, I didn't know, I'm sorry for asking." Thomas glanced up into the sky and said "Well, I might help out a little." Mira stared at him and asked "What happened to resting until you got better?" Thomas glanced at Mira and said "I'm sure we can keep it a secret from Daisy." Mira sighed and said "You never learn do you." Thomas glanced at her and said "Nope, but I suppose it's fine so long as I come back alive." Mary stared at Thomas and asked "Is there anyway I can help?" Thomas stared at her and said "Nah you just leave everything to me." Mary nodded and said "Okay, then I'll just wait for you back at the inn and then we can read picture books!" Thomas nodded and said "Sure, that sounds fine." The man stared at Thomas and excitedly asked "Does that mean you'll help us?" Thomas nodded and said "Yeah I'll help out for a bit." The man began to walk off as he said "It'll be an honor to fight with you." Thomas glanced at Mira and Mary as he said "After we're done shopping I'm gonna go wait where everyone else is." Mira stared at him and said "Be careful, we'd much prefer you don't get injured." As time passed Thomas waited on top of the wall as he yawned and said "This is taking forever." Thomas glanced down at the people waiting outside of the wall as he mumbled "It looks like they have an army waiting outside." Thomas laid down staring into the sky as he mumbled "This is so boring." As Gwen approached him she said "I have more news on the undead army." Thomas stared at her and asked "How do you keep finding me?" Gwen stared at him and said "That's not important, however I have found that the army's strength increased by quite a lot over this duration of time, along with any other monster around the world." Thomas peered off into the distance and mumbled "You mean those bastards are getting stronger because of that shitty demon lord?" Gwen nodded and said "Unfortunately yes." As Thomas stared at the undead army he said "Looks like they've finally arrived." Gwen walked over to the wall and peered off as she asked "Are you gonna remove the shirt?" Thomas nodded and said "Yeah I'll swap out to the non weighted one for now." Thomas put the shirt into his subspace and began to stretch as he said "Man I feel a lot lighter." Thomas smiled and said "With all this weight finally off my shoulders I think I'll be fine." Gwen began to walk away as she said "Well good luck, the town is counting on you and all of those other adventurers." As the people and undead began to fight Thomas smiled and said "These things are the first step in removing that demon lord." Thomas jumped off of the wall as he said "Let's hope this doesn't kill me." As he landed he held his legs and mumbled "That really hurt." Thomas glanced up at the people and took a deep breath before standing up straight and saying "Alright, let's do this." Thomas began to walk through the crowd of people as he mumbled "I wish I could teleport right now." Thomas rubbed his nose and mumbled "But this damn cold wont go away." Thomas grabbed a hold of his sword and said "I'll just kill a few and leave." Thomas let go of the sword and said "Maybe I should stand back for a few moments." Thomas nodded and said "Yeah that might be better, that way I can see what I'm up against." Thomas glanced around and seen some men chopping the limbs off of some of the undead . Thomas nodded and said "They're doing pretty good so far." As a sword swung towards Thomas he leaned to his side and avoided it as he said "Maybe me showing up here wasn't needed." Thomas glanced behind him at an undead man as he asked "Hey are you still considered a person or are you just a mindless goon that I should careless about killing?" The undead man swung the sword twice more making loud grunting sounds as Thomas dodged them effortlessly and said "I see, so your not completely a person but a possessed husk of what's left of one." Thomas punched it in the stomach sending its internal organs everywhere as he said "I'm just gonna kill a few of you mindless bastards so I can leave." The undead stared at Thomas and swung the sword once more making even more grunting sounds. Thomas avoided the sword and mumbled "How annoying, I forgot that you undead people will continue to fight despite being just about everywhere." Thomas grabbed his arms and smiled sinisterly as he tore one off and said "Fine I'll just tear you into so many pieces you won't be able to survive." As Thomas began to tear the undead man apart everyone including the other undead stopped fighting and watched as he ripped the undead apart with a sinister smile. Some of the people watched as they said "Let's a kid him when we get back to town." A few people nodded in agreement as they said "I'm so glad that the sadist pirate king is on our side and not against us." Thomas stood atop the undead man's now completely lifeless head as he asked "Don't stop fighting now, we're just getting started." Thomas grabbed his sword and dashed into the crowd of the undead as he smiled and said "I can finally let loose, I don't have to worry about killing opponents because these guys were already dead." As heads flew into the air the people watched as a man asked "Can anyone sense his magical power?" Another man glanced at him and said "I think he's hiding it." After a few minutes Thomas stood atop a pile of undead corpses as he smiled and said "This isn't actually isn't half bad." Thomas began to look around as he seen a small group of undead still standing there as he asked "Did I really kill that many?" Thomas scratched the back of his head and said "Well whatever, I'll leave the rest to these guys." As Thomas began to walk away he put his sword away and put his hands in his pocket as he said "The rest of you guys can deal with them, I'm leaving." As Thomas moved his hands around his pockets he pulled out the power module and asked "Did Lily put this here knowing I would do this?" Thomas glanced up into the sky and said "Daisy is gonna be pissed." Thomas glanced back at the people fighting what was left of the undeads as he said "Maybe I should stay just a bit longer and save myself from having to hear Daisy yell at me for a few more minutes." Thomas sighed and said "Screw it, let's just hear her yell at me a bit and get it over with." As Thomas arrived at the inn he nervously reached for the door knob as he mumbled "Maybe she'll let me off the hook." However the door opened before he could reach the door knob and Daisy glared at him as she said "Aren't you suppose to be resting?" Thomas froze and said "I know what I did was stupid but hear me out first." Daisy stared at him and said "I'm listening." Thomas glanced around and said "Um well, I decided that I would help the city." Daisy grabbed his tail and said "Don't even bother lying, I already know the people of the city could've dealt with them on their own." Thomas laid there with a red face as he mumbled "P-please, let go." Lily walked over to him and reached into his pocket as she said "Let's take a look and see what you were doing." Lily stared at the crystal and asked "Why is there so much more power in this, what exactly were you fighting?" Daisy stared at Thomas and said "Who cares, but right now I'm gonna hold onto your tail until at least your cold goes away." Thomas slowly raised his hand barely off the floor as he mumbled "H-help."
