As Thomas opened his eyes he glanced around a familiar room and mumbled "Where am I?" Thomas stared at the roof and mumbled "My body feels heavy again." As he sat up Daisy walked into the room and said "Looks like it my turn to take care of him." Thomas stared at her and asked "Is this the inn room?" Daisy stared at him for a moment and said "You finally woke up." Daisy sat down at the foot of the bed and said "Well this is probably the best news we've had in a while." As Thomas attempted to get up Daisy pushed him back down and said "Not happening, your clearly sick so stay in bed and let me just explain some things." Daisy pointed at him and said "First off as you know the demon lord has been summoned, second the monsters have began to become stronger, third we found you in the rain unconscious yesterday and you've had a high fever ever since." Thomas held his head and mumbled "Then this headache probably isn't from the damage I had taken then." Daisy nodded and said "Yes so it would be best if you stayed in bed and recovered." Thomas sat back up and said "No, I should get stronger so I can beat that demon lord next time she shows up." Daisy glared at him and said "Your in no condition to worry about that right now, so lay back down and rest." Thomas stood up and said "I'm just gonna do something real quick." Daisy began to follow him as she complained about him being unwell and needing to rest." As he walked out of the inn and into the book store that he has been visiting recently he glanced at the shelves and said "I'm just gonna be a minute." As the little girl walk into the room she stared at Thomas and smiled as she said "Your back, I thought something might've happened to you." Thomas nodded and said "Yeah I'm back, I figured I'd check some more books out." The girl walked over to a shelf and said "You asked about spell books last time you were here right?" Thomas nodded and said "Yeah, I've been after a few of them." The girl grabbed a book off of the shelf and said "I was going through the books we had and came across this one, it's full of magic spells and stuff but I have no idea what any of it means." Daisy glanced at Thomas and asked "Is this seriously the reason you forced yourself out of bed despite your poor condition." The girl handed Thomas the book as he nodded and said "I can't do anything physical or magical while sick so I might as well read." Daisy nodded and said "Even so you could've asked me to pick up the book for you." The girl stared at Daisy and asked "Are you his master?" Daisy glanced at her and said "No I'm his friend, if I was his master I would've commanded him to rest and to not have left the bed." Thomas glanced at the girl and asked "So how much do I owe you?" The pulled a piece of paper from her pocket and said "Judging by the books condition, spells, and uses I'd say it's worth about three gold." Thomas handed her the gold coins and said "Thanks I'll see you around." The girl nodded and said "See you next time!" As they walked out of the shop Daisy glanced at him and asked "Can we go back to the inn now?" Thomas nodded and said "Yeah sure." As a rock was thrown at the back of Thomas's head Daisy caught it and said "Lately there has been an uprise in people that would like to challenge you, I think you should avoid them for now, in your current condition they could kill you with a simple attack." Thomas glanced at the stone in her hand and asked "Does this have something to do with the power modules?" Daisy nodded and said "Unfortunately so, now that everyone can become stronger in a matter of days everyone thinks they have what it takes to be a hero." Daisy three the rock back at the man who tossed it with ten times the force as she said "Unfortunately many of these people are still rather weak." As the rock hit the man he fell to the ground bleeding as he mumbled "What happened?" Thomas glanced at Daisy and said "So right now I'm putting myself in a mass amount of danger." Daisy nodded and said "Yes that's exactly why you need to rest, so you can get back to being your strong usual self." As Gwen jumped out at Thomas she swung a stick at him and said "A surprise attack should easily defeat you!" Daisy quickly jumped in front of the stick as she shouted "Watch yourself!" Gwen stared at Daisy and asked "Are you serious, you just ruined my one chance at successfully beating him." Thomas walked around Daisy and said "If your gonna come at me I'd recommend a real blade." Daisy stared at Gwen and said "No you shouldn't, besides if you were to hit him with that right now he would've died." Gwen stared at Thomas and asked "Is she serious!" Thomas nodded and said "Yup, and I probably couldn't have even done anything about it." Gwen apologized and said "I'm so sorry, I want to beat you at your best I don't want to take advantage of you in this weakened state." Gwen stared at Thomas and said "Anyway that's not the reason I'm searching for you, I just wanted to tell you that there is an approaching undead army that was summoned by the demons." Thomas glanced away and mumbled "Does she want me to do something about it?" Daisy stared at her and asked "What's your point?" Gwen pointed at Thomas and said "After observing their strength it appears that the adventurers here should be able to beat them all by themselves, so I want you to know that you can spend that time to strengthen yourself." Thomas walked past her and said "I'll think about it, but right now I should get back to the inn before Daisy decides I'm being too unreasonable and pulls on my tail to drag me back." Gwen glanced at him and said "That's fine, I'll have someone deliver the item to you later then." As they arrived to the inn room Thomas mumbled "This demon lord is already creating problems." Daisy glanced at him and said "Well it should've been expected, I mean many of the previous demon lords have created a lot of mischief and has slaughtered millions." Thomas collapsed onto the bed and mumbled "This is gonna her annoying fast." As someone knocked on the door Daisy opened it and seen a man standing there with a box. Daisy glanced at the box and asked "Did Gwen send you?" The man nodded and said "Yes she did, she told me to give this shirt to the demi human with mismatched eyes." Daisy glanced at Thomas and said "Well his eyes aren't mismatched right now but they should be in about a week." The man handed her the box and said "Well whatever, this box contains a shirt that will apply a force equal to five tons." As the man left Daisy tossed the box beside Thomas and said "Apparently this is for you." Thomas opened the box and pulled a note out that read "Although strengthening an opponent is incredibly dumb you are my boss as well, consider this a gift to help your strength flourish." Thomas pulled the shirt out and said "This looks oddly like the one I'm wearing." Daisy nodded and said "Yeah she probably made it like that on purpose." Thomas stared at her and said "The author must be too lazy to describe how it looks, he must be leaving it to the readers imagination." Daisy stared at him and said "I don't know what your talking about, just decide if you wanna put the shirt on now or later." Thomas put the shirt on and said "I'll just do it now." Once the shirt was on Thomas mumbled "Bad idea." Thomas fell back onto the bed and mumbled "I shouldn't hav spit this on yet." Daisy stared at him and said "Just take it off then if your not strong enough to move around with it on." Thomas began to sit up as he said "I think I'm getting used to it now." Daisy stared at him and said "No your not just don't want her gift to feel discarded or wasted, that and you don't feel like losing to the demon lord again." Daisy pointed at him and said "Your still supposed to relax, you can wear the shirt if you want to but be sure to relax some, your body isn't as indestructible as your pride, keep that in mind and don't overdo it." Thomas nodded and fell backwards again as he said "I'll just sleep for a while and then I'll get used to this shirt." Daisy stared at him and said "Despite talking so big he's basically already given up."
