Chapter 133 - Chapter 133 Storage Magic

As Thomas awoke he seen Ocis beside him with her wings wrapped around him. Thomas stared at her for a few seconds before realizing that she had been like this for a while. Thomas sighed and said "Has she been doing this?" Thomas teleported next to the bed and said "Well I guess I wouldn't know since they're usually up before me." As Thomas glanced back at the bed he seen Ocis, Lily, Daisy, and Scarlett all sleeping in the same bed. Thomas stared at them confused and asked "Have they all been doing this?" Thomas shrugged and walked outside as he said "some things are better left unanswered." As Thomas walked around the town he heard a voice say "Hello." Thomas recognized the voice and said "Poppy is that you?" The voice said "Yes and I've recently figured out how to talk to you without you being in your subconscious." Thomas looked around and asked "Am I able to take to you without talking?" Poppy laughed and said "Of course you can, otherwise you would look as if your talking to yourself." Thomas walked into a nearby shop filled with books as Poppy said "To speak to me all you have to do is think." Thomas shrugged and said "Well what's the worst that could happen?" Thomas stood there as he thought "Hello, can you hear me?" As a lady walked up behind Thomas Poppy said "Yes I can hear you perfectly." As the lady tapped Thomas on the shoulder Poppy said "I should be able to make myself visible to you and travel alongside you." Thomas turned around and seen the lady as he thought "That would make things rather convenient." The lady stared at Thomas and asked "Is there anything specific your looking for?" Thomas shook his head and said "I'm not looking for anything right now." The lady nodded and said "Well if you are just let me know." As the lady turned around Poppy appeared on Thomas's shoulder less then a foot tall and only a few inches wide. Poppy glanced at Thomas and said "I was able to make myself appear." Thomas glanced at her and asked "Can anyone else see you?" Poppy shook her head and said "Nope as far as anyone else can tell Your just talking to yourself." Thomas sighed and asked "Well what good does you being able to move around freely do?" Poppy smiled and said "I'm glad you asked." Poppy jumped on a bookshelf and began to look at the covers as she said "I can help you find things." Thomas walked towards the shelf she was on and asked "Are you able to help me pick out a decent one?" Poppy nodded and said "Leave it to me!" Poppy began to search the covers as she said "Just a moment I'll pick the one that seems best!" After searching through some of the books Poppy pointed towards one and said "This one seems like it could be useful." Thomas grabbed the book as Poppy jumped back onto his shoulder and said "Well what's its about?" Poppy pointed to it and said "Although Ocis was trying to teach you how to read it seems like I was the only one who learned." Thomas glanced at her annoyed and said "That does tell me what the book is about?" Poppy pointed to the book and said "That book is about storage magic." Thomas stared at the book for a few seconds and said "I find it hard to believe you learned how to read before me." Poppy smiled and said "I was able to use your memories as a reference and learn from them." Thomas walked towards the counter and said "I've really got to learn how to read." The lady stared at Thomas confused and asked "Why are you buying a book if you can't read?" Thomas sighed and said "I can use a spell to have the words speak to me, even though I can't read I can still technically read the book." The lady stared at Thomas and said "twenty silver coins." Thomas handed her the coins and said "I'll see you around." The lady waved and said "Thank you come again." Thomas put the book in his satchel and walked out of the building as he said "I really should learn how to read so I don't have to use that spell." Thomas glanced at Poppy who was still sitting on his shoulder and said "You seem to be enjoying yourself." Poppy nodded and said "This is my first time actually seeing the world." Thomas stared at her and said "But can't you see it through my memories?" Poppy nodded and said "Yes but seeing it for yourself is different." Thomas reached back into his satchel and pulled out the book he had just purchased and said "Well guess we better test this." Poppy stared at the book and said "Basic storage magic is easily a tier three, will you be able to use it?" Thomas opened the book and said "Only one way to find out." Thomas briefly read each of the pages while walking around town and said "Most of these pages just explain what storage magic is." Thomas closed the book and said "I think I understand it though." Thomas walked towards a building and sat against the wall with the satchel in front of him. Thomas reaches into the satchel and grabbed some fabric. Thomas held the fabric in front of him and said "Here goes nothing." As Thomas opened his eyes he said "Max focus is a go." Thomas stared at the fabric and said "The spell doesn't require an incantation but I should be able to access or create a sub space." Poppy hopped off his shoulder and stared at the fabric as she asked "What's a sub space?" As some mana swirled around the fabric Thomas said "A sub space should be a small pocket in between reality that I can access to store things." Once the mana completely covered the fabric it faded and the fabric was gone. Poppy stared at his hand and asked "Did it work?" Thomas shrugged and said "All I know is that the fabrics gone." Thomas glanced at her and said "Now all I have to do is make it reappear." As more mana appeared from Thomas's hand the fabric reappear in his hand. Thomas smiled and said "Guess I've learnt how to use storage magic." Poppy smiled and said "If only you were as good at reading as you are magic." Thomas stared at her and said "You don't have to rub it in." Poppy laughed and apologized as she said "I bet the others will be surprised." Thomas put the fabric back in the satchel and said "It's odd, this magic doesn't seem to exhaust me as much of the others." Thomas stood up and aimed his hand at the satchel and said "Well I'm just gonna store this stuff for now." Once mana covered the satchel Poppy walked towards it and asked "What would happen if you used it on a person?" Once the mana disappeared along with the satchel Thomas shrugged and said "It would probably be incredibly dangerous." Thomas kneeled down And picked Poppy up as he said "It's probably best if we don't test this stuff on living creatures." Thomas set Poppy on his shoulder as she said "Yeah your right, but we should go show off your new magic to the others!" Thomas started to walk back towards the inn as he asked "Doesn't it bother you that the others won't be able to see you?" Poppy shook her head and said "As long as your able to see me it doesn't bother me." Thomas glanced at her and asked "Is it possible for you to get injured?" Poppy shook her head and said "I only exist in your mind so nothing can interfere with me and I can't interfere with anything else." Poppy stared at Thomas and smiled as she said "Well I suppose I can still interact with you." Thomas glanced at her and said "That explains why I was able to pick you up." As they entered the inn Poppy stared at Thomas and said "If it's fine with you I'd like to stay outside of your subconscious for a while." Thomas stared at her and said "Do what you want I'm fine with whatever." As Thomas entered the room the others all turned and stared at him and asked "Where were you and where is your satchel?" Thomas stared at them and said "I was just out and about walking around." Lily walked towards Thomas and asked "Did you lose your satchel while you were out?" Thomas shook his head and held his hand out. As mana surrounded his hand the book about storage magic appeared and Thomas said "I've still got it." Lily stared at the book and said "That's incredible!" Lily shook her head and said "I'm getting off topic, anyway we have to go now." Thomas stared at her confused and asked "Why?" Lily smiled and said "I'll tell you while we walk but we have to be there by tomorrow!"
