Chapter 119 - Chapter 119 Typical Everyday Magic

As the others arrived they stared at Thomas and shouted "You promised you wouldn't fight!" Thomas sat there and stared at them as he said "But I didn't even throw a punch." Scarlett stared at them and said "He's telling the truth, all of this blood is his." Daisy hurried over to him and asked "Where did you get hurt?" Thomas sat there confused as he said "Why does it matter?" Daisy glanced at the blood and yelled "What do you mean does it matter, a normal person shouldn't even be conscious after bleeding that much!" Thomas stood up and said "Well whatever your worried about I'm sure it's fine." Lily glared at Thomas and said "Take your life more seriously." Ocis walked towards Thomas and asked "If I grab onto you is blood gonna start gushing out of you?" Thomas glanced at her and said "I highly doubt that would happen even if I had wounds." Daisy stared at his clothing and asked "If you were bleeding why are you perfectly fine." Scarlett grabbed the bottle from Thomas's hands and said "The potion he stole while we were in Meta for his execution saved his life." Daisy grabbed the bottle and examined it as she said "This is a great potion, just one of these could sell for a few gold coins easily." Daisy glanced at Thomas and said "After drinking this you should be fine for now, so please try to avoid anymore fighting." Thomas stared at her and said "I wasn't even the one who started it." Scarlett stared at him and asked "If you didn't do anything then why was he attacking you?" Thomas shrugged and said "I dunno something about demi humans and factions." Ocis grabbed onto Thomas's arm and said "I believe you didn't start the fight." Thomas stared at her as she said "If that guy wants to fight you again I'll beat him up!" Lily glared at him and asked "Why didn't you fight back if he was trying to kill you?" Thomas stared at her and said "I made a promise that I wouldn't fight." Lily, Daisy, and Scarlett all stared at each other and said "So it's our fault you nearly died?" Thomas shrugged and said "Nah that was just me being stubborn." As they stared at Thomas they apologized as Ocis stared at them confused and asked "What did you guys do?" Thomas stared at them and said "Don't worry about it, at this point death is becoming pretty normal." Scarlett stared at him and said "You shouldn't be saying that stuff so casually." As Ocis let go of Thomas's arm she asked "What should we do?" Thomas shrugged and said "I'm gonna take a look around the town." They all stared at him and asked "Are you really about to ignore the fact that you nearly died?" Thomas stared at them confused and said "I doubt that guy is gonna show up again." Scarlett stared at him and said "That man said that he would have his guild members hunt you down so stop acting as if it's not a problem." Thomas shrugged and said "It'll be fine." Daisy glared at him and asked "Do you even know how to be nervous?" Thomas ignored her and began to walk away as he said "Later I'm gonna take a look around." Ocis began to chase after him as the others sighed and said "At least Ocis is with him." As Ocis followed Thomas he walked into a building with a sign that read "Magical needs, adventures welcome." Ocis opened the door and looked from one side of the room to the other as she seen books and vials with mysterious liquids in them line the walls. Once Ocis spotted Thomas who was holding a book she grabbed onto his arm and asked "What are you looking at?" Thomas continued to stare at the book as he said "Nothing much but apparently this book has magic that should help with daily issues." Ocis stared at the book and said "We need to teach you to read so you no longer need that magic spell." Thomas sighed and said "But I can't even get past the first page of that picture book." Ocis smiled and said "Then that just means we have to try again." Thomas sighed and said "Well I'm just gonna get this book, it's only ten silver." Thomas walked towards the counter and set the silver down as he said "I'll be taking this book." The lady stared at him and said "If your going to leave I'd recommend the back door." Thomas stared at her and asked "Why?" She stared at his tail and said "Demi humans have recently started a guild and most of the other guilds refuse to accept it." Thomas put his hand on Ocis's shoulder and said "That's fine, doors aren't my thing anyway." As they teleported outside by the puddles of Thomas's blood Ocis asked "Is it really okay to waste mana like that?" Thomas shrugged and said "Its not a waste since every time I use mana my mana reserve gets bigger." Thomas walked over to a wall and sat down. As he sat down he began to flip through the book as he said "Most of the magic in this book doesn't even require words to be spoken." Thomas took his jacket off and set it in front of him as he stood up and aimed his hand at it. As Thomas did this the blood from his jacket began to fade away. Once the blood was gone Thomas put his jacket back on and said "Who would've thought they had spells to remove stains." Ocis stared at his jacket as she said "I didn't know magic could be used to do things like this." Thomas sat back down and said "I actually wasn't aware of it either but it seems like it can do just about anything." As Thomas continued to flip through the pages he tilted his head as a sword was shoved through the wall where his head just was. Thomas looked at the woman who shoved the sword through the wall and asked "Did you need something?" She glared at him and said "Your demi human faction is scum and I'm here to remove it." Thomas glanced back at his book and turned the page as he said "Sorry but you'll have to come back another time, I'm not suppose to fight today." She leaned down and stared him in the face as she said "So Your demi human scum and a coward." Thomas glared at her and said "I'm not suppose to fight but that doesn't mean I don't have other ways to beat you." She pulled her sword from the wall and said "I'd like to see you try." Thomas put one of his hands on the ground and said "Just remember you asked for this." She glared at him and said "I'll withstand your attack to prove your race is worthless." Thomas smiled and said "If you say so but if you'd like to prove that maybe you should've just finished me off when you had the chance." As she sank into the ground Thomas said "Fighting and trapping you are two separate things, although this doesn't deal with you permanently it should get rid of you for a while." Once she was knee deep into the ground Thomas made it solid rendering her unable to move. Thomas smiles and said "Now if you'd excuse me I'd like to get back to my reading while I still have mana left." As Thomas sat their Ocis stared at the lady and asked "Are you really just gonna leave her there?" Thomas turned the page in his book and said "I just might." Ocis day down beside Thomas and said "But wouldn't it be cruel just to leave her there?" Thomas sighed and said "Fine I'll let her go but if she tries to kill me again I'm burying her up to her neck and leaving her to die." The lady stared at Thomas and asked "What makes you so sure I want your pity?" Thomas stared at her sword and said "Well you seem quite aware that I'm the only one who can free you since you haven't tried to stab me yet despite being less then a foot apart." Thomas put his hand on the ground and began to raise her above the ground as she asked "How can someone just trust someone who has tried to kill them." Thomas closed his book and said "Your just lucky that I agreed to no fighting." As Thomas stood up and began to walk away he said "If I didn't make any promises you would've been dead." Ocis grabbed Thomas's arm and said "Stop messing with her." Thomas stared at Ocis and said "I'm not messing with her I'm just letting her know if she tries anything tomorrow she's dead." She stood their and watched as they walked away and said "You demi humans may be stronger then I thought." Thomas glanced at her with a fierce look as he said "You got your warning, either listen to it or die." She stared at Thomas and mumbled "Maybe it would be best if I make like that old saying and make peace instead of war."
