Chapter 116 - Chapter 116 Attack On The Kingdom

After a few days have passed Thomas finally finished setting up his plan. As Thomas stood outside of the castle with a jar of poison in hand and said "All that's left is sneaking into the kitchen." Thomas smiled and said "This should even kill the king." Thomas teleported into the castle and put the poison in his satchel as he said "Once they eat this poison it's checkmate." Thomas began to walk through the kingdom completely unnoticed as he mumbled "You think that they'd know if an unfamiliar face shown up but they don't." After wandering around for a few minutes Thomas found the kitchen. Thomas watched as all the chefs walked back and forth from one place to the next as he walked by them unnoticed and began to pour some poison into the dishes. As Thomas turned around he mumbled "Why is killing this king gonna be so easy?" Thomas sighed and said "I might as well make things interesting." Thomas pulled out a second jar of poison as he mumbled "I don't plan on killing anyone but the king so while the guards are paralyzed the king will be choking on his last breaths." Thomas glanced at the jars and said "One poison to render them defenseless and another to kill." Thomas put both jars back into his satchel and turned back to the kitchen as he said "If I would've used a lethal poison on all those guards this little historical event wouldn't be forgotten so easily." Thomas sighed and said "Guess I'll take a look around the castle until it's lunchtime for the king." After walking around Thomas found himself outside at the barracks. Thomas glanced at the entrances and exits as he said "Looks like someone already triggered the water bucket." Thomas stared at the door and said "If only I could've seen who it fell on." Thomas turned around and seen three guards with bows aiming at some straw dummies. Thomas walked towards them and asked "Have you guys managed to hit the target once?" The three men stared at Thomas annoyed and said "I mere slave shouldn't concern himself with our practice." Thomas stared at the dummies they were shooting at as he said "Isn't it better to train with a moving target?" The guards turned and stared at Thomas as they smiled and said "I have a great idea, why don't you go and be a target for us." Thomas stared at the three men and asked "What good will it do if you can't even hit a target that's standing still." The three men pushed Thomas towards the dummies as they said "These dummies are new and you should know that we're not the best archers in this kingdom but we're familiar with a bow." Thomas stood their in front of the dummies and said "Guess I should've ignored them." As the three men aimed their bows at Thomas they shouted "Ready, aim, fire!" As the three arrows came towards Thomas he teleported behind the guards and asked "Did you hit him?" The guards looked at Thomas shocked as they asked "How did you move so quick?" Thomas glanced at them and said "I don't know what your talking about." Moments later the same prince that Thomas had met earlier walked out and said "My men to me." Thomas watched as the three archers walked towards the prince and said "Yes sir!" The prince stared at the three men and said "If we wish over throw the king and prevent a war we need to have some sort of plan." The three guards glanced at Thomas and then back at the prince as they said "If his slaves are this powerful we don't stand a chance." The prince glanced at Thomas and mumbled "Its that same demi human who came to my room soaked." The prince walked towards Thomas and said "If you listen to me and obey me I will set you free." Thomas stared at him confused and said "You can remove slave seals?" The prince nodded and said "What I'm about to tell you might make me have to kill you so if you'd like to hear it tell me now or forever remain a slave." Thomas stared at the prince and said "I don't really care about the freedom thing but you got my attention." The prince smiled and said "If you help us get rid of the king and prevent this war, I'll be sure that you get your freedom." Thomas stared at the prince shocked and mumbled "I'm glad I didn't put lethal poison in the guards food." The prince stared at Thomas confused and asked "What did you say?" Thomas turned around and said "I'll take of your king just stay out of the way." The prince grabbed Thomas by the shoulder and said "If we're gonna overthrow the king we do this on my terms." Thomas glanced at him as he said "If we are going to overthrow the king everything we do must be coordinated and planned to perfection." Thomas pushes his hand off of his shoulder and said "All you gotta do is one simple thing." The prince stared at Thomas confused and asked "What are you talking about?" Thomas turned to him with a sinister smile and said "Once he's dead remove the bounty." The prince was left speechless as the three guards asked "What makes you so sure your able to beat him?" Thomas put his hand on the ground and said "That's simple, I've been planning this for over a week." As Thomas put his hand on the ground the entrances were blocked by large dirt walls that completely blocked off the entire area. Thomas smiles and said "All the troops have been taken care of." The prince stared at Thomas confused and asked "What did you do?" Thomas stood up and said "The poison your guards ate will lose effect after a couple of hours, and these walls have been made to collapse around the same time." Thomas waved and said "Now if you excuse me I have a king to kill." As Thomas vanished the three men and the prince all turned to each other and asked "Does anyone know who he was?" As Thomas appeared in front of the king Thomas smiled and said "Good just as I thought, that poison wasn't enough to kill you." The king stood up and asked "How did you manage to poison me, I feel fine?" Thomas glanced at the person who tested the food as he said "Unfortunately the effects won't hit you for around five minutes." As the taste tester fell to the floor holding his throat Thomas said "Right on time." Thomas began to walk towards the king as he said "You know if you weren't gonna start a war you might've lived longer." The king began to cough some blood as Thomas smiled sinisterly and said "Enjoy your last few breathes." Thomas walked past the king and sat in his throne as he said "Before you die I suppose I should tell you but I feel as though that would be to cruel." Thomas leaned back on the arm of the throne and put his legs over the other arm of the chair as he leaned back and said "If my assassination on you would've failed I'm sure that prince's would've worked." Thomas glanced at the king and said "I already know that poison won't be enough to kill you and theirs a good reason I didn't bother making sure it would finish the job." Thomas stood up and walked towards the king as he said "I believe in second chances, so either accept it and end this war or die trying to go against me." The king stared at Thomas and began to call for the guards." Thomas laughed and said "Call them all you like but just know that no one will come and save you." The king stared at Thomas and asked "What did you do to them." Thomas smiled and said "I just slipped them a little something extra during lunch." Thomas pulled out both jars of poison and said "If I would've used much more of this you'd be dead by now." As the door behind Thomas slammed open he turned to see who it was. As Thomas seen that it was the prince and three arches from earlier he said "Remember our arrangement, once I'm done just remove the bounty." The king stared at the prince and asked "How could you betray your own father?" The prince stared at the king and said "How can I betray you, how could you betray the people of our kingdom and force them into war." The king stood up and stumbled towards the prince as he said "Just because I'm poisoned doesn't mean I'm useless in a fight." Thomas glanced at the king and quickly shoved a dagger into his back and through his heart as Thomas said "You should've taken the second chance." Thomas stared at the prince and said "Remember What we agreed to." The prince grabbed Thomas and said "You May have killed my father but, it was the right thing to do." The prince stared at Thomas and said "If you would I'd like to hold a banquet in your name as thanks for preventing a war and a funeral for my father." Thomas stared at him and asked "Am I able to bring others?" The prince nodded and said "Do as you please this is my way of thanking you." Thomas nodded and teleported away as he said "I won't guarantee I show so don't get your hopes up."
