Chapter 113 - Chapter 113 Enemy Kingdom

As they arrived at the next city a giant wall stood between them with a retractable metal bar gate. Two men peered of the side of the wall and shouted "If you wish to enter you'll have to pay a fee." Thomas stared at the two men and whispered to Daisy "Is this some sort of scam?" She glanced at him and said "No this is one way the kings separate their land and make some money." Thomas stared at her and asked "What if we don't wanna pay it." Daisy glared at him and said "You just got rid of your bounty do you really want another one placed on you?" Thomas looked at the two men and asked "How much will it cost?" The two men glared at them and said "It'll be five silver per person." Daisy glared at them and mumbled "Five silver per person, why does it cost so much." Daisy sighed and tossed them a bag of silver as she said "Thats all twenty five pieces now let us through." The two men opened the bag as one of them said "Yes very well open the gate." The other man nodded and walked over to a switch on the ground. As he flipped the switch into the other direction the gate began to slowly raise and reveal a castle and city. As they walked through the gate they noticed that Thomas was gone. They all glanced at each other as Lily asked "Did you see where he went?" Scarlett shook her head and said "He'll probably show up injured." Ocis turned around and stared at the gate and seen Thomas climbing on the back of the gate. Ocis turned to the others and said "I'm sure he'll be fine." Daisy stared at Ocis and said "What do you mean he'll be fine whenever he does this it always ends bad." As they walked towards the city Thomas glanced at them and said "Why would I give money to enemy." As Thomas climbed up onto the ledge he peeked and seen the two men standing their by the wall. Thomas glanced over and seen a table with the bag of coins they had given them laying on top of it. Thomas hopped up behind them while they were looking away and snatched the bag of coins off of the table. As Thomas grabbed the bag with the twenty five silver coins he noticed a paper underneath the bag. Thomas grabbed the paper and said "It's always good to see what your enemy is up to." As the two guards began to turn around Thomas hid behind a create and activated speak in tongues. Thomas held the paper up in front of him and muttered "Report of the attack on Meta yada yada, man this report is awful, I mean seriously they make it sound like I was trying to attack the place." As Thomas got closer to the bottom of the paper he mumbled "Oh here's something interesting they have the total number of soldiers and their probability of winning." Thomas stared at the number and said "A ninety seven percent chance to win, now those are some great odds, too bad that they're stacked against me." Thomas set the paper beside him and said "Guess I should take my leave now." Thomas teleported outside of the kingdom and sat down by the gate. As Lily and the others approached him Daisy said "Their you are." Thomas glanced at her and asked "What took you all so long?" Scarlett stared at him and said "None of us have teleportation." Thomas tossed the bag with the twenty five silver coins at Daisy as Ocis said "So that's what you were doing." Daisy opened the bag and seen what was inside as she stared at Thomas she said "I'd prefer you didn't make such risky moves but I suppose it's fine this time." Thomas stared at her and said "So if I wanna get away with things I should just give you money." She glared at him and said "Hardly I'm just happy you did this without getting injured!" Thomas turned towards the kingdom and said "Now that we've gotten in here it's time to make some sort of plan." Scarlett stared at him and said "Maybe you should take it easy and allow us to set some things up." Thomas glanced at her and said "I already told you that spell was a one time thing I don't need to recover from anything." Ocis stared at Thomas and asked "What are we gonna do?" Thomas walked into the kingdom and said "You can just sit back and relax." Daisy stared at him and asked "Do you already have some sort of plan?" Thomas glanced at her and said "My plan is to take this straight to the king." Daisy grabbed Thomas by his shirt and pulled him back as she said "That's not a plan that's suicide." Thomas stared at her and said "I do have a plan but what I just said was pretty much the last step." Daisy glared at him and asked "What are these other steps?" Thomas began to walk into the kingdom as he said "First things first I gotta thin the herd." Daisy watched as he walked in as she shouted "The king in this kingdom is way stronger then my father so don't do anything reckless!" Thomas glanced at her and said "Relax I already said that I'd deal with this king and I don't plan on doing it half way. Thomas smiled as he turned back to the kingdom and began to run directly towards the castle. Daisy glanced at Ocis and said "Please go with him." Ocis stared at her and asked "Is their a reason I need to go with him?" Daisy stared at her and said "We can't trust him to prepare for an entire war all by himself." Ocis thought about it for a moment and said "Your right if we left a war up to one person we wouldn't stand a chance." Ocis took to the sky and flew towards Thomas flying close behind him. Thomas glanced at her and asked "Why are you following me?" Ocis smiled and said "The others wanted me to help you plan for war." Thomas stared at her and said "I don't plan on having a war." Thomas smiled and said "Theirs no war if I take out the king." Ocis stared at him and asked "How do you plan on doing that?" Thomas glanced at her and said "Watch and be amazed." As Thomas and Ocis arrived in front of the castle Thomas glanced at Ocis and said "Just act natural while I deal with something real quick." Ocis nodded and said "Can I go shopping while I wait?" Thomas stared at her and said "That'd probably be the best way to blend in." As Ocis ran off into one of the buildings Thomas teleported to the top of the castle and sat on top of it." Thomas began to observe the outside of the kingdoms layout as he said "Where oh where shall I place my trap?" Thomas glanced at the barracks where some soldiers were practicing with spear, bows, swords, and many other weapons. As he watched the soldiers train he said "Maybe I should train up a bit before this fight to." Thomas shrugged and said "I'll train right after I poison their food." Thomas smiled and said "I can easily sneak it into their food while the cooks make it. Thomas's smile faded as he said "The only problem is I'd have to find out where I can buy poison." Thomas glanced at the town and said "All I have to do is find some poison and then before we fight the king I'll poison all his troops" Thomas continued to observe the kingdom from up above as he said "By poisoning the food I'm taking care of a lot of the troops." Thomas teleported back down to where Ocis was standing as he said "Looks like I'm gonna have a shopping list of my own." As Thomas appeared in front of Ocis she said "I finished my shopping." Thomas glanced at her and said "I'll be coming back here later to do some more recon but for now we can head back." Ocis smiled and reached into her bag as she pulled out a picture book and said "I've decided I'm gonna teach you how to read." Thomas stared at the book and said "I hardly understand the language, how are you gonna teach me to read?" Ocis opened the book up and pointed to a word as she said "I'll be teaching you each and every letter first and then I'll have you read the words." Thomas sighed and said "I normally read a spell book, but reading a picture book feels both degrading and like a waste of time." Ocis cheerfully stared at Thomas and said "When we get back I'll start teaching you how to read." Thomas stared at her and said "Okay fine but don't expect me to stay up all night trying to read." Ocis nodded and said "I wouldn't expect you to stay up all night but I am going to teach you how to read." Thomas sighed and mumbled "I'll search for the poison later."
