Chapter 107 - Chapter 107 The Lamia Village Ancient

As morning came Thomas stumbled to the door as he mumbled "And yet again I'm basically unable to walk in a straight line, or very much." Thomas opened the door and made his way outside as he turned around and looked at the inn he mumbled "I don't know why she decides to cause pain for a moment or torture for a while." Thomas glanced around at some of the building and mumbled "I wonder what they have around here that could be fun." As Thomas stumbled around the town he came across Lily. Thomas stared at her and mumbled "Maybe she hasn't seen me yet." As Lily turned around and stared at him he mumbled "Nope she definitely seen me." As Lily began to walk towards him he stood their mumbling "Maybe she won't still be mad about the fight with the three lamia." Lily stared at him and asked "Your not gonna fight anybody today are you?" Thomas stared at her with a blank expression as he said "I can't fight anyone, I can hardly stand." Lily turned around and began to walk away as she said "Good maybe next time you'll learn your lesson." Thomas glared at her and muttered "Does she just keep me around to torture me?" Thomas shrugged and said "Wondering about it won't do me any good." As Thomas continued to stumble around the town he came across a cave in the ground that he didn't see from on top of the mountain. Thomas peered into the cave as he said "The descent shall begin here." Thomas glanced at the village and said "She probably won't find out about this." Thomas shrugged and hopped into the cave as he asked "Anybody down here?" Thomas peered further into the cave as he began to stumble and said "Guess no ones in here so I guess no one can stop me from going in." As Thomas walked further and further into the cave he found a sign. Thomas stared at it for a while and said "I can't read so this sign can't stop me." As Thomas passed the sign he glanced at it and mumbled "I'm not gonna waste mana on something that probably tells me to turn back." Thomas continued to stumble through the cave as he said "A red sign probably means danger so let's see if this danger is any fun." After stumbling for a while Thomas ended up falling and slamming his head into a stone wall. Thomas stood up and held his head as he watched some stone fall off of where he had hit it. After some of the stone fell off Thomas noticed that their was something red behind the stone. Thomas reaches his hand out and stuck it on to the red surface. As he stuck his hand their he felt a jolt of mana surge through him. Thomas stared at his hand and mumbled "Sudden boost of power?" Thomas put his hand back onto the red surface as he said "Let's see what else this stone can do." As Thomas put his hand back onto the red surface it began to move. As it moved Thomas backed up away from the red surface. Thomas stared at it and muttered "I wonder what you could be." As the cave began to shake Thomas stared at the roof of the cave and said "Whatever you are it seems like your heading towards the surface." Thomas quickly teleported to the surface and looked around as he mumbled "I just got some mana back and yet I'm already wasting it." Thomas glanced at the cave and said "Maybe I should've read that sign." As the ground began to shake the people in the town began to rush out of the building. They all began to shout "Earthquake!" Thomas glanced at the village and said "Prepare to see what's causing your earthquake." As Thomas glanced back at the cave he seen the ground start to lift. As some of the red surface began to poke through the ground Thomas smiled and said "I think it's time to say hi to our reptile friend." As it crawled out of the ground it stared at Thomas. The towns people all stared and pointed at it in amazement as they all shouted "Its our ancient protector!" Thomas glanced at the towns people and said "So they did know you existed." Thomas turned back to the massive snake and began to walk towards it as he asked "How long have you been asleep under there?" The snake lowered its head towards Thomas putting its eye mere inches away from Thomas. The towns people all pointed at him as they said "The snake must be protecting us from him." The snake lifted its head and stared at Thomas and began to hiss. The snake then proceeded to glance at the village and then back at Thomas. As the snake stuck it's tongue out Thomas stared at it and said "Your the second one of these so called ancients that I've found and yet I've got no clue on how strong you things are." As the snake licked Thomas face he stood their motionless. The towns people continued to watch the snake and Thomas as they whispered to one another. As the snake removed its tongue Thomas wiped his face and said "I don't really know or care why you need my smell but if you can answer some of my questions I'd appreciate it." The snake turned away from Thomas and turned back to the hole it crawled out of. Thomas watched as it slithered back into the hole. After waiting for a while the massive snake slithered back out of the hole with a strange fruit wrapped up in its tongue. The snake lowered its head and handed it to Thomas. As the snake turned back around and crawled into the ground once more Thomas stared at the fruit and asked "What the hell is this." Thomas stared at the hole and sighed as he said "That snake is probably getting ready to rest for eternity or something." After waiting a while and having nothing happen Thomas turned around and seen Lily and the others standing their. Thomas stared at them nervously as he said "I know you think I caused that and technically your right." Lily began to walk towards him as she said "The first time you summoned an ancient I thought it was a fluke, but this is the second one you've awoken." Thomas held up the fruit and said "Well since your not mad care to explain what this fruit is?" Lily stared at it and said "I don't know what it is." One of the lamia people slithered out from the village and said "It's a rare ancient fruit thought to be extinct, that fruit is rumored to double your power." Thomas stared at it for a few moments and said "So it's basically useless?" They all stared at him in confusion as they said "That fruit doubles your current power." Thomas tossed the fruit to Scarlett and said "I don't want it so you guys figure out what to do with it." They all stared at him speechless as he said "Power isn't really something I want, but if I do want power I'd rather gain it myself." Lily stared at the fruit and said "The ancient gave it to you I'm pretty sure it want you to eat it." Thomas shrugged and said "But I don't need the fruit." Scarlett put her hand out with the fruit in her hand as she said "It doesn't matter if you want to or not the ancient wants you to eat it." Thomas grabbed the fruit and stared at it for a while as he asked "does ancient fruit taste good?" They stared at him annoyed as Lily said "It increases your power, who cares if it tastes good." Thomas shrugged and said "I've decided on what I'll do with the fruit." They all stared at him in anticipation as he smiled and said "I don't want it." Thomas tossed the fruit back to Scarlett and said "I already told you I don't care about power." Thomas turned away from them and began to walk back towards the inn. As Thomas walked away the towns people began to chase after him. As Thomas turned around he seen the people and mumbled "Dammit it's just like the last time I summoned an ancient." Thomas began to stumble and run away as he said "Note to self avoid the baths." Lily, Scarlett, Ocis, and Daisy all stared at the fruit as they asked "Who should eat the fruit?" After staring at the fruit for a while Daisy grabbed the fruit out of Scarlett's hand and sliced it up into four equal pieces. Daisy handed them each a piece and said "If we can't decide on who should get the fruit we'll split it." As they all ate the fruit they fell to the ground with a disgusting taste in their mouths. They all laid their trying to get the taste out of their mouths as they said "Thomas was right, this thing was really disgusting." After the taste went away they all stood up and said "I can sort of feel the increase in power." They all glanced at each other as Lily said "With this we're now one step closer to becoming the strongest adventures!" They all nodded in agreement as Scarlett said "One small step at a time."
