Chapter 106 - Chapter 106 Lamia Trio

As the three lamia began to talk amongst themselves Thomas walked towards them and said "Forget the rules your taking to long. The three lamia stared at him and said "Be patient we are discussing the limits of the fight." Thomas glared at them and said "Rules don't apply in an actual fight." They stared at him and asked "Then how would you prefer to fight?" Thomas yawned as he said "Just come at me all at once so we can end this quick." The three lamia stared at him and said "We are known throughout our village as the lamia trio, do you really think you'll survive all three of us at once?" Thomas stared at them with a sinister look as he said "So we're allowed to kill during this?" They stared at him as one of them said "None of us are going to kill, we're just saying fighting three lamia who have experience fighting is like a death wish." The lamia stared at Thomas for a moment as they said "If the three of us are gonna fight without limitations then we should stop when the others forfeit or are unable to fight." Thomas took a few steps back and said "Ready when you three are." The lamia glared at him and said "We three are pretty recent adventures, in fact we're probably the first lamia adventures from this village." Thomas stood their and said "Enough of the story, we're here to fight not talk." The three lamia stood their annoyed as they said "You could've at least listened, whatever then lets begin." Thomas stood their and stared at the sky as he said "It'll be night soon, so just come at me quickly." Two of the lamias began to slither towards Thomas as they both unsheathed swords as the other lamia behind them began to chant some words. As the two lamia that were charging at Thomas got near him one threw a dagger at Thomas's head. Thomas stepped to the side and grabbed the dagger as he asked "I thought we weren't actually gonna kill each other?" The two lamia stood their and shouted "Use the spell now!" Thomas glanced at the lamia who was chanting the spell as he held out his hand fire began to circulate around it forming a ball in the center of his hand. The lamia held the ball of fire in his hand as he shouted "Forfeit now or prepare for a tier two spell!" Thomas tilted his head and asked "What good will that tiny little fire ball do you?" The two lamia's beside Thomas began to slither away. Thomas glanced at both of them and said "Let's see what you got." The lamia pulled his arm back and pushed it towards Thomas as he shouted "I can't be blamed if this kills you!" As the fire ball came towards Thomas it began to expand larger and larger until it was twice the size of Thomas. The lamia watched as Thomas stood their and smirked. Thomas put his hand up and asked "Is this all a level two spell is?" Thomas shouted water bolt and blasted the massive fire ball causing it to explode in front of him. As the fire fell to the ground the grass caught on fire. Thomas began to walk towards the lamia through the fire as he said "I've already wasted a ton of mana today, Your not making it any easier." The lamia stared at Thomas and asked "How were you able to stop a tier two spell so easily?" Thomas stared at him and said "Water beats fire, honestly that should be obvious." The lamias stared at him as they said "That was our mistake as rookie adventures, don't think you'll be able to defeat us so easily." Thomas yawned and said "What you got something else?" The lamia began to chant another spell as the two other lamia began to slither towards him. Thomas stared at them and asked "What you guys got another party trick?" The lamia stared at Thomas and said "Since you seem like the type of person who will wait to see what we're doing it shouldn't hurt to tell you, we're about to increase our strength and speed by more then ten times. Thomas sighed and said "Quit talking and start fighting." The lamia glared at Thomas even more annoyed as they said "We are trying to give you a warning so we don't kill you!" Thomas held the dagger that they thrown at him up to his face as he said "Give me your best and I'll prove I can do better." After the spell was casted on them the lamia who casted the spell held up his hand and began to cast tier one electric magic at Thomas. The lamia stood their casting the magic as he said "I'm not gonna charge these with my mana but they should still hurt." Thomas stood their and felt the electric go through his body he stood their and asked "Is this the best you can do?" Thomas held the dagger out in front of him and said "Maybe if you hit this I'll actually feel it." As the spell hit the tip of the dagger Thomas felt the electric travel through himself at seemingly twice the power as he said "Sorry but this isn't gonna cut it, I get zapped with more volts then this all the time." The lamia quit casting electric magic and pointed at Thomas as he shouted "We need to stop him quick!" Thomas shrugged and said "Let's hope your strength and speed actually have been enhanced by that spell." As they dashed at Thomas he stood their and yawned as he said "You know your speed might've actually increased, but it doesn't seem like it was by much. As the lamia neared Thomas they each wrapped up one of his arms and began to tighten their grips until he couldn't free himself. They then proceeded to pull his arms in the opposite directions as they shouted "Fire that tier two fire magic again!" Thomas stood their and said "At least your switching up your plan." After a few moments of chanting the spell he casted the tier two fire spell again. Thomas watched as the fire gathered at his palm in the shape of a ball. Thomas yawned as he said "You guys will also be hit by this." They glanced at him and said "This is for our pride as adventures, we can't just let you beat us." Thomas began to pull his arms in front of him slowly. The lamia glanced at him and asked "Why isn't the strength spell working?" Thomas broke free of their grip and pulled out the compass as he said "This little thing allowed me to find the mana stream that was flowing into you and enhancing you, and it just so happened that this dagger you tossed at me happened to be made out of a metal that can absorb some mana." As the lamia fired the spell at them Thomas glanced at the fireball and said "To make a long story short I cut through the mana flow when you weren't paying attention." Thomas glanced at the lamias and said "You might wanna get out of here, I don't plan on stopping this one." As the lamia slithered away they stared at the lamia who casted the spell and shouted "Stop the spell!" Thomas smiled as the massive fire ball came closer and closer. Thomas stood their and said "Let's see if I can survive this." The lamia began to bicker amongst themselves as the one who casted the spell said "I can't stop a spell that's already been activated." As the fireball exploded in front of Thomas the three lamia turned and stared at him as they said "He must've come to his senses." Thomas turned to a shadowy figure as he said "Did you really need to do that?" Lily stepped out from the shadows as she said "I'm not gonna allow you to do something so reckless." Thomas walked towards her as he asked "So how long have you been standing their?" She glared at him and said "I just got here so you should count yourself lucky." Lily glared at the three lamia and asked "How much trouble did this idiot cause you?" The three lamia stared at her and began to explain how the fight started and how it went. After they explained it Lily glared at Thomas and said "You just accepted a fight from three random people, and then you were gonna try and survive a tier two spell?" Thomas nodded as he said "That sums up just about everything." Lily sighed and said "Honestly you've done way worse." Thomas nodded and said "Your right I've done way worse." Lily glared at him and said "Don't think this means your off the hook." Thomas stood up and waved as he said "Look at the time I gotta go." Lily glared at him and said "We share the same room at the inn, you can't run away from your punishment." Thomas sighed and asked "What kind of punishment, shock, fire, maybe both?" Lily stared at him and smirked as she said "Much worse." Thomas grabbed his tail and nervously said "You don't have to go that far." The three lamia stared at Lily as they whispered to one another "She must be super strong if he's afraid of her."
