Chapter 101 - Chapter 101 Taking Down The Kidnapper

Thomas walked towards Scarlett and held his hand out as he said "If you don't want the potion then we should at least hurry." Scarlett glared at him as she said "Don't expect to hear me speak like that again." Thomas stared at her confused as he asked "What's so bad about being a bit upset?" Scarlett turned her head and ignored him. Thomas sighed as he put his hand down and said "We're wasting time." Scarlett glanced at him and stood up as she said "It'll be quicker if we search together." Thomas nodded as he said "I'll be dashing around the city." Scarlett began to fly as she said "I'll search the sky." Thomas stared at her wings as he sighed and said "I'll fix your clothes later." Scarlett nodded and flew off into the opposite direction in search of kidnappers. Thomas shrugged as he put the potion back into his satchel and said "Guess I'll save this for later." Thomas began to look around as he ran through the town. After searching for a while Thomas ran into Toby who was standing outside of a run down building. Thomas stopped running and stared at Toby as he mumbled "What could you be up to?" Thomas watched as Toby walked into the building. As Toby entered the building Thomas followed behind him while muttering "I'm gonna be in a lot of trouble when I get back." Once Thomas was in the building he began to look around as he asked "Anyone home?" As he asked this he felt a hand cover his mouth and began fo go unconscious. Thomas began to struggle but the person who grabbed Thomas was holding on too tightly. Thomas continued to struggle until he fell completely unconscious. When Thomas finally woke up he found himself in a small cage. Thomas looked around the room and seen Toby behind bars shouting at a man. As Thomas attempted to move he slumped over and hit his head on the cage. The man glanced at Thomas and began to walk towards him as he said "A strong demi human isn't something you see everyday." Thomas glanced around the man and asked "Who are you?" The man glared at Thomas as he said "Don't push yourself I'd prefer my new merchandise to be in one piece." Thomas glared at him through the cage as he smiled and said "Good try but I already have a slave seal." The man laughed as he said "I can remove that one and sell you good as new, but unfortunately the hero tried to interfere with my business." The man bent down to Thomas's cage as he said "You also tried to interfere, but I can get away with selling you." Thomas yawned as he asked "What time is it?" The man laughed as he said "The time shouldn't matter to the merchandise." Thomas smiled as he said "I'd hate to stick around and be a bother so maybe it's best if I break out of here." The man laughed as he said "I wouldn't bother, I stuck a talisman on you, to prevent you from using any movement spells to get out." Thomas glanced down at his stomach and seen the two talisman. Thomas smiled as he said "I don't need a movement spell to break out of this." The man turned around and began to walk away as he said "I'd like to see you try and break out of that cage." Thomas began to punch the bars as he said "Fine by me." The man glanced at Thomas and said "Your fist will break before that cage." Thomas laughed as he said "Theirs only one way to find out." Toby glanced at Thomas as he said "These cages and bars are tougher than my armor, theirs no way you'll break them." Thomas began to punch the bars faster and harder as he said "I don't care what they're made of if I don't get back soon Lily will be extremely mad." The man glanced at Thomas as he started to walk towards the door as he said "I'll go check on the others, you two new captures be nice." Toby glanced at Thomas as he sighed and said "You should know when to give up." Thomas smirked as he said "What's the point of giving up, I can feel my mana flowing back into me." Toby glanced at Thomas as he asked "What good will that do you?" Thomas glanced at him and shouted "Aura release!" As Thomas's aura spread around him he began to punch the bars harder and harder as he smiled and said "Why give up when its not needed." Toby glanced at him as he said "So you asked the time as a simple distraction?" Thomas broke the bars and glanced at Toby as he said "I actually asked the time so I could calculate when my mana would come back." As the man walked back into the room Thomas glared at him and cracked his knuckles as he said "I'm pretty sure you said something along the lines of I wanna see you break that cage, right?" The man stared at Thomas nervously as he stared at the aura and pointed at him while shouting "You were the demi human who fought the king weren't you?" Thomas walked towards Toby's cell and tore the bars from the ground as he smiled and said "Toby your lucky that the ground of your cell wasn't the same material as the bars." Toby stepped out of the cell as he smiled and said "Lucky me, in that case care to join me and beat this bastard up?" Thomas deactivated his aura as he sighed and said "Using mana right after getting it back makes it especially exhausting so you can handle him." Toby glanced at Thomas's bloody hands as he asked "Are you alright." Thomas began to walk towards the man as he said "I'll be fine once this bastard sets all of his kidnapping victims free." The man began to crawl away from Thomas as he said "Please spare me." Thomas picked the man up by his shirt as he said "Give me the keys to the cages and cells." The man began to frantically search through all of his pockets as he said "Of course of course, I wouldn't want to make you angry." The man pulled keys out of his pocket and tossed them onto the floor as he said "There I gave you the keys so now you can let me go." Thomas tossed the man on the floor in front of Toby as he smiled and said "I agreed that I'd let you go but I can't speak for him." The man looked up at Toby in fear as he nervously said "I was just joking when I said I was gonna kill you and toss your corpse off of a cliff." Thomas picked up the keys and glanced at Toby as he asked "Do you kill?" Toby shook his head as he said "I'll probably just beat the hell out of this guy and turn him over to the town." Thomas glanced at the man and said "Count yourself lucky, because I'm not nearly as generous as him." As Thomas entered the other room he seen cages lining the walls with dozens upon dozens of people locked up in cages. As Thomas approach the first cage he peered into it and seen two kids at the back of the cage shaking in fear. Thomas stared at them as he said "You guys don't need to worry anymore, I'm here to set you all free." As Thomas began to unlock the cages he heard the man screaming as Toby beat him and tossed him around the room. Thomas sighed as he said "It's probably best that Toby doesn't kill but he could at least keep it down." After making it to the final cage Thomas peered into it and seen a small snake like girl shivering. Thomas opened the cage and glanced at her as he said "Your free to go now." The snake girl glanced at Thomas and began to slowly crawl towards him as she muttered "Please help me." Thomas sighed and picked her up. She stared at him and began to wrap her tail around his arm as she said "I need warmth." Thomas glanced behind him at all of the other victims who varied from human, demi human, and some other species that Thomas didn't recognize. Thomas glanced back at the snake girl and asked "What do you need?" She stared at him and began to mutter "I need heat." Thomas turned around and stared at all the other people as he shouted "Make your way out through that door, the hero Toby will show you how to get out." Thomas glanced back at the snake girl as she said "Please I'm dying, I need heat." Thomas held his other hand away from her and said "Blaze." As Fire covered his hand he asked "Is this good?" She stared at the fire and nodded as Thomas began to walk out of the building while saying "This fire will have to do for now until we get outside."
