Chapter 78 - Chapter 78 An Undead Warrior

While training Thomas decided to take a brake as he approached the other ghouls. After walking through the graveyard a bit Thomas mumbled "It still feels terrible to walk through a graveyard." One of the ghouls approached Thomas as he said "What makes you think we need your help protecting our graveyard?" Thomas stared at him and looked at him as he noticed that he had some rusted weapons and armor. The ghoul put his hand on a rusted axe as he shouted "Do you think we're weak?" Thomas stared at him with a blank stare as he mumbled "Some people refuse to accept help, I guess I'm not really one to talk." Thomas shrugged and said "I never said you were weak I just figured I'd help out because I was bored." The ghoul raised the axe above his head and swung it down at Thomas as he shouted "Leave and allow us to protect our fellow corpses!" Thomas grabbed the rusty axe from his hand as he looked at it and mumbled "The blades quality isn't bad but it's definitely old." The ghoul stared at Thomas as he attempted to grab the axe while shouting "You are not yet one of us now leave!" Thomas dropped the axe and backed away as he said "I don't plan on becoming one of you for quite a while." The ghoul picked up the axe and said "I was once a warrior and as one I've learned that you can not plan for death." Thomas shrugged as he said "Good that saves me a lot of effort then." The ghoul glanced at Thomas as he asked "What kind of man it grateful to not knowing when they may die." Thomas looked up at the moon as he said "Guess I'm just to lazy to plan how or when I want to die." The ghoul turned away and began to walk away as he said "Nobody wants to die but nobody can choose when they die, now I'll give you one last warning leave this graveyard at once or I shall kill you." Thomas stared at him as he said "I don't plan to leave but your more then welcome to try and kill me." The ghoul turned around and threw the axe as he shouted "The ignorance of man kind is what got me killed." Thomas stepped to the side and watched the axe fly into another ghouls back as he mumbled "He's not gonna blame me for that is he?" The ghoul reaches behind him and pulled the axe out as he turned and looked at the ghoul who had thrown the axe as he said "You need to quit making such a racket." Thomas stared at him confused as he shouted "Your not mad that he just stabbed you?" The ghoul glanced at Thomas as he said "Us ghouls aren't likely to die to a minor stab wound so theirs no point in making a big deal out of it." Thomas glanced at the other ghoul as he asked "Are you guys always like this?" He nodded as he pulled out a dagger and began to move towards Thomas. As the ghoul moved he began to pick up speed and move in on Thomas quickly." Thomas sighed as he mumbled "Why must people make my job so much harder then it should be?" Thomas shrugged as he punched the ghoul in the face and knocked his head clean off as Thomas stared at the still standing body he poked it and asked "Are you still alive?" The head began to talk as it shouted "Somebody put my head back on!" Thomas walked over to the head as he picked it up and said "I didn't intend to do that." The ghoul sighed as it said "My head often falls off, when I died I was beheaded in a fight." Thomas set the head back onto the body and reaches into his satchel as he pulled out the needle and thread he asked "Would you like me to tie your head back on first?" As the ghoul attempted to nod his head fell back off as Thomas picked it back up and set it back on the body and began to sew it back onto his shoulders. After his head was reattached the ghoul said "If you wish to kill me you'll have to try another way in witch isn't how I originally died." Thomas helped him up to his feet and asked "We still fighting?" The ghoul grabbed the axe that was near his feet as he stood up and attempted to lodge it into Thomas's side as he shouted "You may have helped me once but I refuse to accept your help again." Thomas grabbed the axe once more and shoved it into his chest. Thomas let go of the axe and watched as he pulled it out of his chest while saying "It's like he said this is but a simple flesh wound." Thomas shrugged as he said "I refuse to cut you into smaller pieces." The ghoul laughed as he said "Then you have no hope in defeating me!" Thomas smiled as he grabbed the ghouls leg with both of his hands and tossed him away as he shouted "I don't need to beat you, I just need you out of the way!" The ghoul shouted damn you as it flew and smacked into a tomb sending some of what was left of his blood all over the wall. As the ghoul stood up Thomas punched him back into the wall sending some more blood onto it as the other ghouls began to watch the fight as they began to cheer. After fighting for a while Scarlett shown up as she seen Thomas fighting with a ghoul. As Scarlett entered the graveyard she asked "What are you doing?" Thomas continued to punch the ghoul as he said "I was originally looking for someone who used necromancy but I kinda got side tracked." The ghoul shouted "He's interfering with our rightful duty of protecting the graveyard!" The other ghouls approached Scarlett as they said "Don't mind him he just fights with all of the visitors." Scarlett watched as the ghoul and Thomas fought across the graveyard as she sighed and said "I originally came up here to see why their was so much noise but now I feel as though I need to stop it." Thomas stopped attacking the ghoul as he walked up to Scarlett and said "Don't worry about as long as I don't attack his heart he should live." The ghoul stood up as he said "Not even a single blow to the heart will kill us." Thomas turned to him as he said "See I can just keep beating the guy and he gets up completely fine." The ghoul grabbed his axe once more as he threw it at Thomas and then quickly reaches onto his side and threw another one while shouting "You may be able to catch one but can you catch two?" Thomas stared at the approaching axes as he grabbed the one that was heading toward Scarlett while allowing the other one to land in his shoulder as he mumbled "Your right I can't catch two but that doesn't mean I'll move out of the way and allow a friend to get hit." Thomas pulled the axe out of his shoulder as he held an axe in each hand he glared at the ghoul and asked "So it doesn't matter how many times I hit you?" The ghoul began to walk towards Thomas as he pulled the dagger out once more while saying "It doesn't matter what you do to me I have my warriors spirit." Thomas smiles and dashed towards the ghoul as he shouted "I'm gonna tear your spirt from this damn world!" The ghoul began to dash towards Thomas as he shouted "A normal ghoul would've died by now!" Thomas sliced his arm off as he said "You must think your so special but in reality all your going to do is get torn up even worse then what a normal ghoul would've." The ghoul used his still attached arm to reach into his pocket and pull out another dagger that he soon shoved into Thomas other shoulder while shouting "You won't succeed in killing me!" Thomas smiled and stared at the ghoul with a rather sinister look while pulling out the dagger in his shoulder while he shouted "Then you should be just fine without your limbs!" Thomas fosses the dagger away and began to chop off each of the ghouls limbs. Scarlett watched from the distance as she asked the other ghouls "Will he survive?" They turned to her and nodded as they said "Theirs very few ways to kill ghouls however he's different he refuses to let go so the only way to kill him is to completely destroy either the heart or the head." Thomas stared at the ghoul as he laid their on the ground watching him squirm without his arms or legs as he said "You haven't beaten me yet!" Thomas picked him up by the head and began to walk towards the gate as he said "It doesn't really seem like your buddies like you." The ghoul shouted "Thats because none of them have the balls to do what needs to be done!" Thomas stared at the moon once more as he proceeded to throw the ghoul outside of the graveyard and into a pond.
