As morning came Thomas, Lily, and Scarlett all headed towards the area that had been prepared for the fights. As they arrived the man and his two boys greeted them as he said "So your all gonna participate?" Thomas looked at the arena that they had prepared for them as he asked "Is the arena really just some chalk in a circle?" The man stared at Thomas as he said "That's just the elimination round since there are normally quite a lot of people who participate in things like this." The man pointed to a crowd of people as he said "If your all going to fight you might wanna head over there so they can give you a number." The three of them walked over to the people who were handing out shirts with numbers on them. Thomas walked up to them as they asked "Name?" Thomas stared at them confused as he said "Thomas?" The man handed him a number as he said "Ah yes your number seven."
Thomas took the numbered shirt as he walked away and mumbled "This is gonna be a long day." Once everyone had gotten their numbered shirts a man in a suit stood on top of some crates as he yelled "All participants please report to the chalk circle immediately." They all walked over to the circle as the man held up a bell and said "Once I ring this bell anyone who falls completely out of the circle loses and the hero gets a free pass to the tournament and isn't required to do the elimination round." The man held up the bell as he asked "Is everyone ready?" Before getting an answer he rang the bell and everyone began to fight. Thomas looked around as he observed the chaos and said "It's probably for the best that this tournament doesn't allow weapons." Thomas began to walk around the circle as he saw people fighting as he mumbled "I wonder if Lily and Scarlett will make it?"
Thomas continued to walk around as he mumbled "There will probably be a set amount of people left." Thomas turned to see a man charging at him as he said "Hey their buddy how's it going." The man continued to attack as Thomas teleported behind him as he said "I wouldn't bother trying to fight me if I were you." Thomas yawned as he said, "Besides I'm not fully awake yet." The man began to charge Thomas once more as Thomas shrugged and said "Fine have it your way." Thomas made a fist as he punched the man in the face and knocked him unconscious. Thomas bent down as he tapped him on the face and said "Buddy are you alive?" Thomas checked his neck for a pulse as he let out a sigh of relief as he said "Good he's alive." As another man ran by Thomas he turned to him as he grabbed his shirt and hurled him outside of the ring. Thomas looked around as he said, "If these people keep attacking me like this I might have to step up my game."
Thomas shrugged and continued to walk around the fighting people as he said "A lot of these people are putting up a good fight." As Thomas walked around he heard someone yell "Hey number seven, you and me right now." Thomas turned to the man as he said, "Look I'm only interested in fighting the hero so if your not him then back off." The man walked up to Thomas as he said "Compared to me that hero ain't nothing." Thomas smiled as he asked, "So does that mean your gonna put up a good fight, or are you all talk?" The man raised his hand as he punched Thomas in the jaw. Blood flew from Thomas's mouth as he rubbed the blood off his jaw he said "You're not half bad." The man went for another punch as Thomas caught his fist and said "If you would've picked any other opponent you would've made it further in this thing." The man raised his other arm as he tried to punch Thomas. Thomas stared at him as he caught his other hand. Thomas stared at him as he said "Well well well look at what we got here."
The man began to push Thomas as he said "I don't need to knock you unconscious if I get you out of the ring." As Thomas started to get pushed to the edge of the ring he smiled as he said "That's far enough." Thomas began to lean back as he started to hurl the large man over him as he heard the bell chime again. The man who rang the bell yelled "That's enough we now have all contenders." Thomas stared at the man he had just thrown out of the ring as he said "We'll have to finish this another time." As the man stood up he stared at Thomas as he said "If anyone is gonna beat the hero it may as well be you." Thomas shrugged as he said, "I'm mostly only doing this tournament for fun but I suppose I'm also doing it to get another crack at Toby." The man stared at Thomas as he said "If you beat me then I have no hope of beating the hero." Thomas looked around to see who else had made it past the elimination round. As he saw who was left he looked around as he said "The magic I smelt was probably Lily and Scarlett."
As Thomas looked around he saw Lily and Scarlett still inside the circle as he yawned and said "Now that this pain is dealt with it's time to sit back a wait for things to unfold." Thomas walked over to Lily and Scarlett as they cheerfully said "We made it to the next round." Thomas smiled as he said, "The real question is if you can make it to the semifinals or finals." They stared at each other as they said "Forgot the semifinals we're gonna win this thing." Thomas yawned as he said, "That's great and all but how exactly are they gonna decide the other battles?" Lily stared at him as she said "They're gonna draw out numbers and see who fights who." Thomas yawned as he walked over to the man and his two boys as he asked "Can you just wake me up when they call seven?" They stared at him as they said "It's the least we can do after you bring our cart here." Thomas laid down on the ground as they asked "Aren't you gonna watch your opponents fight so you know their moves?"
Thomas yawned as he said, "I'm too tired to watch besides I don't really care about watching them fight anyway." Thomas laid there as he said, "but be sure to wake me for Lily and Scarlett's matches." They stared at him as he fell asleep as they looked at one another as they asked "Is it really ok for him to be this relaxed?" As they said this Lily and Scarlett walked over as they said "I wouldn't worry about him, besides he's always like this." They stared at him as they asked "Is he really like this all the time?" They stared at him as they both said "Trust is we don't need to worry about him." Lily and Scarlett sat down beside him as they stared at the arena as Lily said "None of us will go against each other yet since we're all in different brackets." Lily stared at Scarlett as she said "Toby and Thomas are on complete opposite ends of the board so they won't fight until last." The man and two boys stared at them as they said "We wish you luck with your matches." Scarlett and Lily both stared at Thomas as they asked "What are you gonna ask him to do when you beat him."
They stared at each other as Lily said "I'm gonna ask him to promise me he won't leave." Scarlett nodded as she said, "I was gonna ask him to promise the same thing." Lily stood up as she said, "I'm gonna go watch Toby's match since he's up first and we're gonna need the most information on him." Scarlett stood up as she said, "Allow me to accompany you." Lily giggled as she said, "You know you don't have to speak so formally." Scarlett stared at her as she apologized and followed her to the arena to watch Toby's match. As they walked towards the arena the man and his two boys walked up to Thomas as they looked at one another and asked "Is it really ok to leave him here on the ground?" One of the boys said, "I have an idea!" The boy ran into the cart as he grabbed a blanket and threw it over Thomas as he said "Now he won't catch a cold!"
