"Louisa you can't sit here any longer. People are coming." Apollo said as he pounced onto Louisa's shoulder. "I know.... but two more seconds." Louisa said softly as she gingerly touched a wood carving that was etched into a tree. "Louisa you got one." Apollo said in a low meow.
"Fine. Let's go." Louisa said then she tore her gaze from the carving. She looked down and judged her distance. She then quickly and quietly jumped down from branch to branch until she could safe jump down from the tree. She landed gracefully as her golden brown hair flowed behind her.
Apollo held tightly on to her black hoodie. After they landed he moved his ears around to see if their enemies changed course . "North East." He announced. Louisa nodded her head and rushed towards her escape.
Apollo jumped off Louisa's shoulder and ran beside her. "Nine years." He thought as he glanced at the now 14 year old Louisa. She was taller now, more lean and mature looking. She grew out her hair because she liked how Apollo played with her ponytail. Her round innocent eyes had become more charming, her child like self seemed to have melted away and she was now turning into a fine lady. That is until the incident happened.
Then she started to become stronger and more resilient. The pair suddenly became more dependent on eachother, they became partners in crime rather than a simple, loving family and Apollo couldn't help but start to feel different. Louisa glanced at Apollo and smiled. Apollo blushed as he averted his gaze. "Don't worry we'll make it back before they notice." Louisa said as the ran through the forest back towards their well guarded town. "Why would I worry about that?!" Apollo hissed.
"Quiet!" Louisa hissed back as she slid forwards and landed on all fours. Apollo shifted his body and stopped right beside her. "Any sign of the traitor?" A male voice called out. "No sir." A few voices called out. "Keep looking! Gerald is furious that she hasn't returned." The man yelled. "Sir." A female voice called out. "What is it?!" The male voice barked. "It's been months, why not use her child to drag her out of hiding?" The female asked.
A loud slapping sound echoed through the forest. "How dare you!" He growled. "We will not use an innocent life to draw out the enemy, ever!" The male voice yelled. The air was silent for a while. Louisa gently picked up Apollo and held him within her embrace. Apollo could feel what she wanted to do as Louisa's heart thundered against her chest. Apollo wanted to protest but the moment he meowed he knew it would mean their doom. "Yes sir." The female said with a bitter tone.
"That's it everyone, I'm calling it. You can all go home and rest, except for Team B. You lot can work another 4 hour shift, remember to to thank Yani for your overtime." The male voice ordered. Louisa's embrace relaxed slightly as she heard the male voice's orders.
"Yes sir! Thank you sir!" The group roared. She then heard some loud footsteps moving away. Louisa let out a small breath of relief as she relaxed her tense shoulders. "Damn that man!" Yani yelled accompanied with a loud thud. It caused Louisa's body to tense up. "Yani you can't curse or Captain!" Another women said in a panic. "Leave her be Heidi." Another man said with a sigh. "Ya let's just go do our rounds." Another women said in bored tone. "Team B stayed behind." Louisa thought.
"It's pointless to try and help her calm down. Just let her break her bones again and everyone will be much better off."
"Seriously what kind of twisted person will want to involve a child."
"One with a crappy upbringing."
"We all had crappy upbringings but that's why we all survived."
"Not like Yani though. With her family I could see why she became a taco loving,"
"Stop it!" Heidi yelled. Everything was silent for a moment. "Whatever let's go." A male voice said. "Right, Heidi can comfort Yani in ways none of us are willing too."
"Speak for yourself. I don't mind a three way."
"Hehehe. That's all people like them are good for."
"Enough of this bullsh*t. Yani, clean yourself up. The rest let's do our rounds. We don't need Captain Martinez an excuse to give us more work." A young male voice said.
Louisa heard more shuffling and when she thought they all left she started to softly move forward with Apollo in her arms. "You shouldn't have said anything." Yani said gently. Louisa's hair stood on end, she stopped moving and held her breath. "You know I can never do that when you're involved." Heidi said affectionately.
Apollo started to blush, he knew what was going to happen next and he peaked at Louisa's face. Though it was not the first time they were stuck in this situation it didn't mean they were dumb to what was happening between the two women.
Soon they heard them starting to breath heavily. Louisa started to pick up her pace. Her face turned beat red as her and Apollo heard the rustling of clothes and gentle moaning. With Louisa's agility and speed they were able to sneak back into the town without anyone spotting them. "Can they not find a better place to do that kind of thing?" Apollo meowed as she rubbed his paw against his face, trying his best to control the steam escaping his face.
"You know it's not just them. I think all the guards get bored." Louisa whispered. "Well at least they aren't doing their jobs properly because of their, cough, cough, extra curricular activities." Apollo replied. "And thanks to that they haven't found mom yet." Louisa grinned before she sprinted back towards their house.
"You found another clue?" Apollo asked happily as Louisa slammed the door close behind her. "I did it! I think I finally did it! I finally found the final piece of the puzzle." Louisa announced. "Well why don't you share it them?" A deep voice called out. Louisa flinched and Apollo jumped back, hissing as his hair fluffed back.
