Chapter 11 - Rescue MIssion Part 1

Apollo sat in the bushes waiting and watching for his chance to sneak in. It was finally the day for him to rescue Louisa from the clutches of Gerald and his men. Apollo spent the last seven months planning out Louisa's escape. He tracked down her location by stalking Gerald. He stuck to the shadows and watched how many guards and workers came in and out of the giant facility.

When he was abe to figure out their routine after two months. He waited for a completely oblivious person who was more concerned with their documents rather then their surrounding, that was his ticket in. Apollo thought back to that day when he finally spotted his target. A nerdy looking man who only came out of the facility once every two weeks. Apollo didn't know what that man did or cared but realized he always came back the next morning. Apollo made his selection and used the man as his ticket in and out.

He then stalked around the facility looking for Louisa while mentally mapping out the place. It took him another four months to find Louisa. They had sent her to the sub basement, where she sat in a 6x4 white cell. There was only a single bed attached to the wall and a floor, nothing else.

A worker wearing white scrubs had walked by while Apollo was up in the raptors. Apollo didn't bother with the workers but this one made him stop dead in his tracks. The man was walking by with a trolley cart with tiny vials. Apollo sniffed the air and caught Louisa's scent. Apollo decided to follow the man and ventured into another room. There he overheard two men talking about Louisa's blood sample and that they would continue the experimentations the following morning. Apollo's eyes trembled with anger and fear. He wanted to jump out and claw their throats but he held it in. He needed to know where Louisa was exactly.

When morning came he followed the worker and finally saw Louisa but to his horror she no longer looked the same. Her hair lost it's radiance and turned white, her cheeks had become hollowed, her eyes were void of life and she had lost so much weight it was a miracle she could stand. Apollo had planned to wait in her room but the word experiment made him worry. Instead he followed closely behind the worker and Louisa.

They then walked into a large room and proceeded to strap her down to a table. Up above was an observation room where Apollo spotted Gerald among a group of evil looking people. "Louisa, is covering for your parents really worth all this pain?" Gerald said with a mocking tone. Louisa had her head laying to one side. She didn't respond and just laid like a lifeless doll.

"Presley, start to operation." Gerald ordered over the intercom. Apollo froze. "Operation?" He asked himself just as Louisa's eyes trembled with fear. "Louisa!" Apollo meowed softly. Her eyes didn't change, she still looked lifeless. "Test number 82, virus strand Covid 19x FE." A man said as other workers started to collect instruments. "Louisa!" Apollo meowed a little louder.

"Test subject GL14, we will inject the virus directly into the heart and then observe the reaction. If there is no immediate reaction we will open her up and check her lungs. No anesthetics will be used as it could interact with virus." The man said as other nodded their head in agreement. "I'll save you!" Apollo hissed causing Louisa's eyes to water. "I'll t....alk." She said in a weak and trembling voice but the people didn't stop moving.

Apollo felt a rush of electricity run through his body and looked up. Louisa had spotted him. "I'll talk." Louisa said a little louder. The lead doctor kept moving and had already gathered the virus strand into the needle. He then brought it over too Louisa's body. "Die!" Apollo hissed as he arched forward. "I'LL TALK!" Louisa shouted with everything she had. "Stop!" Gerald ordered. The people stopped moving and looked up at the observation room. Apollo quicky retreated and growled as he glared at the doctor with the needle.

"Louisa, I would love to believe you but this operation is very important. It could mean a change in our lives. How do I know you aren't just biding your time?" Gerald said with a cold voice. "My father had a hidden mission that needed to take priority over the one he presented to you. I knew about and so did my mother. When my father found what he was looking for he sent my mother a message and she went to meet him." Louisa said as tears started to fall from her eyes.

"Louisa this is all information that I already know." Gerald laughed. "Don't waste anymore time. Proceed." Gerald then said with a deadly tone. "WAIT!" Louisa shouted hysterically. "No." Gerald replied. "There is a traitor in your group!" Louisa shouted desperately. "Stop!" Gerald commanded with ferocity. Louisa was breathing heavily but Gerald could care less. "What did you just say?" He growled.

"There is a traitor in your group. He has been helping my family and is supposed to be waiting for me at a designated location on the eve of my 15th birthday." Louisa cried. Apollo's hair started to stand on end. The situation was started to get really serious. He had known about this but had forgotten about it. He even lost track of what day it was, he only knew how much time had gone by.

"Interesting... Cancel the operation but not the experimentation." Gerald ordered. "What?! But I'm cooperating!" Louisa shouted. "Yes and we are spearing you from the operation." Gerald replied. "I can tell you exactly where we are supposed to meet and his name!" Louisa shouted in a panic. "If I get another virus injected into my body I won't survive and you will know nothing!" Louisa continued.

"I don't even know of this information how do you know it?" Gerald said in a low and threatening voice. Suddenly the man holding the recordeing device dropped everything and ran out. "Lock down! Now!" Gerald shouted. The people in the room stopped everything and started to unstrapped Louisa.
