Chapter 26 - Chapter 26

Everyone turns towards me, including mom, Arthur, and the little girl. Mom's eyes widened as she saw me. Her happiness turned into anger as she saw the swords around my neck. Mom's glare turned to the Captain, who lowered his sword as he came to realize what he had done. As he lowered his sword, his sword scraped my arm causing it to bleed. He knelt down in front of me with his head down. I looked down at him while adding pressure to my arm. He looked up, just enough for me to see.

"I'm sorry, young master." He had a mocking smile while apologizing. He did not mean it. I guess I do have to get rid of him or he could turn on us in the future and he probably knows a lot about this. It could be dangerous if he suddenly switches sides. I gave him a small smile.

"I accept your apology, so rise." He looked confused. I guess he was trying to cook up something and it did not go his way. I stepped aside and walked towards mom, who was standing behind the captain. I guess she came over. "Mom!" She knelt down and gave me a big hug. She also gave me multiple kisses all over my face. I wasn't really a fan of it, but I didn't really mind it.

"Why didn't you tell me you were coming? I would have prepared something to eat. You look so skinny. Did you not eat well?" I smiled. I never felt this emotion since I didn't have a family. It felt so good.

"I'm fine, mom. They took care of me well. I was fed a feast every day. I even made a lot of friends, so you don't have to worry." Mom gave me one more kiss that turned into three kisses.

"Mommy, you don't give Amy lots of kisses. You are not fair." It was the little girl. She gave me a little curious look. "Mommy, who is this?" Arthur came and stood by the little girl.

"Amy, do you remember how I used to tell you that you have one more brother. Well, this is your second big brother, Alexander. You can call him Alex for short." The little girl gave me a shy look and hid behind Arthur's leg. She peeked out.

"Hi, bwuthew!" I'm pretty sure she means brother. I bent down a bit and smiled at her. Mom turned to me and also shooed the soldier and maid away with her hand silently.

"Alex, meet your little sister, Amelia. We just call her Amy for short. Do you remember Arthur?" I nodded in reply. I looked at him and gave him a smile. He smiled back. "Oh, we have to go to Jake. He had been excited for the day you came home."

We walked out of the garden and went inside. Well, we were inside, but even more deep into the mansion.

"Mom, what does dad do? I noticed that there were a lot of soldiers posted both inside and outside." I went past several steel armors along the hallway. This mansion looked quite small on the outside, but quite large on the inside. "Don't you have to be in a high standing if one wants to afford soldiers in the mansion?"

"You are quite smart, Alex." Mom turned my way. "Actually, Jake is one of the two Army generals in this Kingdom and recently Jake saved King Tyson from being assassinated, so we got this mansion as a gift from him."

"Dad got even more powerful, didn't he?"

"Yes, sweetie." This felt nice. I didn't feel this emotion around Maria and Albert. I felt like I was attached to Mom emotionally. I like listening to her soft voice once again. I slowed down and turned to Arthur. He had been quiet this whole time. Was he still shocked from the sudden visit?

"Big brother?" Arthur looked at me. He looked guilty and sad. "Are you ok?"

"I'm fine." He definitely did not look fine. I will have to check on him later. He put on a cheery face and turned to me. "You have to tell me all about the Kingdom of Bisea."

"Me too. Me too." Ami was jumping up and down. She looked so excited.

"Okay, but it's going to be a long story. It might even last seven years." I was pretty dramatic in this part.

"Big Bwuther, can you make it wittle short." Arthur and I laughed at her innocence. Ami giggled along with us. I don't think Ami knew what we were laughing about, but that was alright. We came to a stop as we reached our destination. On the other side, it was dad. I wonder how much he changed. Mom gave me a nudge towards the door. I put my hand on the handle and opened it up slowly. The door creaked softly. I peeked into the room. There he was. He was working hard by looking at the papers on his desk.

"Dad." I was ready to see his reaction when he realized I'm finally here. He looked up to see and saw me. At first, he looked disbelieved, so he started rubbing his eyes. When he realized it was really me, he shot up from his desk and came over. Dad picked me and hugged me tightly, too tight. I started to cough which alerted dad.

"Sorry kid, I got too excited. I need to tell me in detail about what happened in the last seven years. I need you to also tell me how far you have studied. You're seven, right? Have you awakened yet?" He was spitting out thousands of questions by every second. I guess he was that worried about me. To be honest, I was touched about how worried he was of me.

"Dad, you're asking too many questions. I will answer them one by one. I need to explain things anyway, so I will talk to you about once we are all together."

"We are already together, so you can explain it now or do you want to do it after you freshen up." It was mom. She was walking into the room with Arthur and Ami. I guess she was really eager to find out what happened to me. I gave out a sigh.

"I will explain now, so get comfy since it's going to be a long explanation." Everyone got a place to sit in dad's office. I started to explain from the age I was three. It would have been weird if I started to talk from the day I was taken. I talked about Albert and Maria and how they helped me grow up. I even told them how I awakened at the age of three, just in case they ever talk to each other. I didn't want them to know as some kind of liar. I also wanted to tell them the truth, but I intentionally didn't mention how I had to train my soul to accept Ariella's soul. I didn't really mention to them I was a quadra-elementalist either. I wanted to show them rather than saying it out. Once I was done, they just looked at each other.

"So what level are you know?"

"I am an intermediate first stage. I broke through the intermediate stage four months ago." I could see the shock going through their eyes.

"Intermediate stage?! You are only seven, Alex." Arthur looked very dumbfounded. "I just got to the intermediate first stage last week. It took me around five years and I used so many medicines and practiced day and night. How did you do that?"

I looked at mom. I knew he was confused about all this about this whole situation. I was about to answer, then I felt something crack inside of me. It hurted a lot. I clutched the spot that was in pain and bent over. Another crack.

What was going on?
