She took a step back, looking at him with shock. He stood up strait "You've never heard of Lupen, I thought they would have been in your history."
"N... No, I don't know what a Lupen is. Is that why you have a tail?" She looked him up and down he looked so human this was to confusing. "Look, Lupens and humans evolved from the same thing, I just have something that you don't." He said calmly
"What exactly is that?" she spoke in a shaky voice.
He started walking to her, his eyes started to glow blue. He let out a deep growl and his features changed quickly. He went from a man to a beast in an instant, what looked like a werewolf with silver fur stood before her. Her legs shook and she started to turn away from him. He grabbed her arm and spun her to face him. "Don't worry, I don't bite." he winked , "You don't have magic like I do, at least you can't connect to it like we can."
She just looked at him eyes wide in shock.
He changed back quickly still holding onto her wrist "Sorry for scaring you, but somehow you wandered over to this planet, so someone must have left open a gate. Although the area you were in I have know idea who would do that."
"Planet? I'm sorry am I no longer on earth?" she said in complete disbelief.
"What of course not are you kidding, Earth doesn't have magic anymore. That was lost long ago."
"O-Oh okay. Yeah this place is definitely different... Wait!" she yelled suddenly, it caught him off guard and he let go of her arm "My horse Arrow he bucked me off and... and now he's lost out there." She looked down defeated.
"I found a horse do you want to check if its yours?" he looked down at her. "Yes, please show me!" she started walking to the door but stopped. He walked past her and opened the door but she didn't move "Are you ready to go look?" she looked at him and said "I'm just worried about that cat thing what if there's more." He chuckled "You don't have to worry about that, come on." He held out his hand she looked at it for a moment and then took his hand. Its hard to be afraid of him she thought. He's been so kind and he was quite handsome.
He lead her over to the stable and she immediately saw Arrow standing there. She ran up to Arrow and hugged his neck. "I'm so sorry Arrow." she buried her face in his neck, he whined in delight. "I'm going to take off his gear. Is it okay to stay out here without you?" she looked to Jolon.
"Yeah I'll go patrol the area so when your done just go inside." He changed into his beast state, but changed again and leaped off into the forest on four legs.

She finished up with Arrow and went back to the cabin. She took off her boots to get more comfortable and wandered around. Trophies of kills doted the walls, mostly of animals she didn't recognize. Some things looked similar like a dear but with grass like hair or a bear with stone like skin. This was just so strange some things were just like on earth like the fridge and furniture. They even had electricity although she saw no powerlines. She walked over to a lamp and pulled the string hanging down the light turned on even though no bulb was present. The light floated above the base in a perfect ball. She continued turning it on and off "Wow..." she just watched "How does this even work?"
"I told you this world has magic. It reduces polution to not have glass bulbs." His deep voice caught her off guard. She moved from the lamp, blushing from embarrassment. "Its a really neat lamp." She laughed lightly. He let out a deep chuckle "Thanks, don't act so tense. Tomorrow I'll take you to town and well see if an aether user can send you back to Earth."
"What's aether?"
"Aether is the center of all magic, it connects its user to every element even if it's just a little. They are best known for working with different dimensions."
She look at him not fully understanding what he was talking about "Okay, sounds good..." she turned away from him "I guess." she whispered to herself. It was obvious late although she wasn't very tired, she wandered of to a large book shelf and pulled a book down. The book was new looking the pages still crisp, she opened it to find the language wasn't english or any language on earth. "What is this written in?" she held the book out. "Its written in old Draconia. but this book is english." He reached up and took down a older looking book. It was a bird watching book, it had images and descriptions just like normal books. "This is really neat thank you." she said as she walked to the couch to read. "Alright I'm going to sleep watch the fire its our only source of heat." he started off to the bed room. She just nodded her head. After some time she dozed off.

When she woke up the fire was dwindling, she went over to grab some wood from the pile. There was only one piece left, so she decided to go see if there was a stack outside. She opened the door careful to make no noise. She tip toed around to the side of the house and saw a large wood pile. As she made her way there she heard talking it sounded angry but quiet. she snuck up to the wood pile and peaked through a hole, she saw Jolon and a strange man talking. The new man looked mean, it made her uncomfortable. The stranger spoke harshly to Jolon and pulled out some thick metal handcuffs "Take these and bring me what you owe." he shoved them into Jolon's chest. "If I don't see you in Orlo in two days, you know what will happen." The man changed into his beast form and disappeared into the woods. "That ass. I'm sorry Reva I really don't want to do this. One day, I'll give her one day." he sighed in deffet. She held back tears what was going on. Was he going to trade her off. He started walking around the wood pile, so she snuck around to the other side.
...
She snuck around to the horse stall. Jolon had gone inside she saw his bedroom light on. Arrow saw her coming and gave a little huf but she shushed him. "Arrow we have to leave, I need you to be very quiet." She saddled him up as quietly as possible. she looked at the cabin she could see Jolon's silhouette in the window and slowly lead him out of the stable and blown the path before jumping into the saddle.
