" I am glad you could come Duchess Linda."
The royal highness, Empress Alina Sullivan with Princess Lakinda greetted the Valentine family with open arms but the expressions of the two mothers could be percieve as sour with the dark aura surrounding them.
The two seemed like they had their own histories with each other, they had their own staring showdown going on between them while the the only dad in the Valentine family is clueless about the tension between the wives, he left the two by themselve's and off to chat with other high officials.
Lakinda tugged Carnia's sleeves and asked her to follow her, without the two mothers noticing they sneaked out of their sight and went to a different place with less people. the two siblings followed suit and left the two mothers into a different area.
"Where are we going?"
Carnia asked as she was running, both of her feet were on fire while running with heels. this is the first time Carnia had worn heels that were a little higher than the usual. she always wore sandal like heels that were comfortable for the toes, Fayre sat on top of her head yawning as she flipped her tail left and right on the air.
"Were going to my secret spot!."
She grinned as she dragged her hand across the garden and into a more secluded area filled with wild leaves, in the bushy leaves beside the fort like wall there is a big hole broken down into a circular shape.
"Follow me."
She crawled inside the hole, not minding the dirt smudging her dress, her white dress became brown and her hair messy, filled with leaves and dust. while Carnia on the other held the hemline of her dress and carried it up to her shoulder to not stain her dress.
"(I'll go ahead of you.)"
Fayre flew up the wall and into the other side, when she crossed the other side a loud scream produced by her came beside the wall. A scream along with a squeel in excitement.
The hole was not long and not deep but the broken peices of the wall looked unsafe to cross, when they reached the other side Carnia could not believe what she was seeing. fire like birds and water birds flocked the sky. fishes with butterfly wings jumped up the surface and catched the tiny frogs with light bulbs attached to their back.
Fayre jumped in excitement catching the tiny frogs in her mouth and killing the flying fishes with her sharp claw in a clean manner, dragging the fish into a corner and eating it without Lakinda noticing.
"(This is a feast!.)"
Carnia chuckled at Fayre's statement, she looked at the side and saw Fayre still eating the dead fish she had caught earlier adding worms and bugs as a side dish. She left Fayre to enjoy her disgusting feast and continued on her journey.
It looked so bizzare yet quite interesting, the flowers were of different shades of colors some had teeth showing inside their buds. A little deeper inside there is a big a tree in the middle of the lake a few miles ahead of them.
The tree had blue shiny leaves and violet fruits growing on the tree, it shines when the light shone down on it with the water reflecting the tree it looked like it was glittering. it was a breathetaking view that one would not want to forget.
They were about to go and walk to the direction of the tree when a buzzing sound vibrated inside Lakinda's pockets, she searched her pockets and revealed a small circular blue ball. she pressed the middle of the ball and a woman inside the blue ball appeared.
"Lakinda! where are you?, come here immediately!."
Empress Alina appeared inside the ball, her face furious and wrinkles start to form on her face as she furrowed her brows into a frown.
"But Mother!."
Lakinda was starting to protest, she brought Carnia into her secret spot to have a great time with her and ask her to be her friend but it all come to nothing when her mother asked her to come back.
"No, Buts! come here immediately!."
Alina ended the call and disappeared inside the ball, Lakinda frowned as she brang the blue ball inside her pockets she brought her hand to pinch the tip of her nose and seemed to be in thought as she closed her eyes.
Carnia stared at her the whole time, she tapped
her heels into the ground and looked at the view
when Lakinda took too long to think. after a few
seconds Lakinda finally opened her eyes and grinned.
"you can stay here a little longer if you want."
At first she thought the idea was a bit absurd, a little kid all alone into an unknown environment what would the become of her if she did have the mind of a little kid.
thinking about it one more time, it was not totally a bad idea at all. despite the abnormal creatures living here if Lakinda came here often it meant it was safe.
plus she could avoid all sorts of annoying people in the party if she stayed here, she could just come back when the sound of trumpets horned. the trumphets indicated that the prince and the Emperor is about to make an appearance.
"Then I'll stay here a little longer and enjoy the view."
"Then see you later, come back when you hear the trumphets okay?."
She waved her head and said her goodbyes crawling back into the hole, leaving Carnia all alone in the weird forest without Lakinda it became silent, an ideal silence for sightseeing.
One small step to another, she slowly walked up her way to the tree surrounded by the large lake. her mind was out of focus the whole time admiring the view while relaxing is the best. she was out of Cloud 9 when she heard murmurings at the back of the tree she moved a little bit closer to hear more of it.
She listened to the voice and the person or mythical creature in question was singing, it sounded like an angels voice, the tone and softness of the voice made her into jelly, the one that makes your knees weak. she had goosebumps as she listened more to the voice.
She walked to side of the tree and found out that the voice of an angel came from the little boy leaning his head at the trunk of the tree. she moved for a closer look and observed that the kid had dirty blonde hair and plumpy red lips.
Sh had gone more curious of the boys face as she immersed himself into his angel like voice and moved a little bit more closer, leaning her head closer while grabbing the branch of the tree behind her to balance her position, she moved her left foot infront and the top peice of her heel slipped at the edge of the roots.
Her face fell flat to the ground while her right feet was still dangling mid air, good thing the heels had laces that clamped on her ankle that prevented it to fall into the water.
"Are you okay?."
The boys hand grasped Carnia's arm and helped him to stand up, he rumaged through his pockets and took out a white handkerchief, cleaning her face smuged in dirt and dusting the hemline of the dress that was full of filfth
She finally had the chance to look at the boys face and looked as if the boy looked familliar, she placed the embarassing incident at the back of her head and searched for past memories that which led to him.
"Ah!, Cloak boy."
The kid blushed and covered his face with his hands, his ears turned bright red. Carnia smilled and walked forward, mesmerized at how cute the little boy was. the boy gave a cute nod in response making Carnia grin ear to ear.
