"Where were you Carnia?!."
Carlton grabbed her right hand and led her into the crowd, they went infront where Linda and the two boys stood to wait for the Emperor and the crown prince.
Soon after the trumphets horned one more time, Two royal knights were standing infront of the door above the main floor, the knight from the left moved infront and announced in a loud voice the arrival of the two imperial highnesses
"Your majesty, The emperor and The crown prince has arrived."
The two royal knights opened the door and their stood August and the emperor with elegant golden suits, They walked side by side and separated in the middle to walk down the split staircase.
When they reached the main floor of the ball, The emperor took a glass wine from the server beside him, the server bowed his head and moved back, The emperor raised the glass wine above his head and said.
"Lets have a toast for the 6th birthday of my son the crown prince, Cheers!."
The adults in the party raised their glasses and followed the emperor, they drank their glasses simultaneously and cheered , Like a cue almost immediately the musicians played their instruments and the people danced at the dance floor with their partners at the center of the ball.
"Shall we?."
Carlton bowed his head at Linda and extended his right hand, Linda held his hand and Carlton kissed the back of her hand. they moved to the center where they danced passionately at the rhythm.
Janeth slid right thru the crowd and dragged Aiden into the center, Janeth leaned her head into his shoulder while dancing but Aiden looked as if he was looking for someone.
Right beside Carnia is Ethan looking at the two pair with a pissed like expression, Aiden and Ethan stared at each other the whole song, not even bothering to put up with Janeth's sly acts.
Ethan looked kind of hurt but still maintained a smile on his face while looking at the two of them. the two broke their gaze when Janeth dragged him into another area, Ethan closed his eyes and stayed silent until two girls snapped him out of his peace time.
Thr two girls dragged him into a group of people beside the staircase, Mathew and Mylene were also present in the group, chatting, laughing while Ethan looked at them blankly not saying a word to their continuous blabbing.
Carnia leaned on the pillar all alone with Fayre still sleeping at the top of her head, she rubbed the hair clip tied on her hair and remembered what had happened earlier, instantly her face reddened.
"We meet again!."
Rina stood beside her, tilting her head infront of Carnia looking at the weird face she was making earlier. Carnia covered her mouth and coughed, trying to calm down.
"Yeah, We meet again."
Removing the hand covering her mouth she smiled, Rina moved her head back, her face beaming with happiness from the way Carnia still remembered her after all these days.
"I never thought you were so talented at a young age."
Carnia looked at her in shock, she fogot that she showed off her amazing yet sloppy performance at Janeth's tea party before, Rumors do pass by quick without you knowing.
"I taught myself to play."
she placed her hand at her back and crossed her fingers, lying like this will do no harm since Linda will be the one to back her up to prove her claims and it was some what true in her past life, she did taught herself in the past with no one helping her it was not all a lie after all.
"Woah, Really?!."
Carnia nodded her head and walked to the direction of the table full of desserts, Rina followed suit and they ate sweets while they talked about their experiences and beliefs.
Carnia really liked Rina's company, she was not boring like the other people, she knew how to react and know how to reply even making jokes at the end of her speech. they both were having a good time with each other.
Rina paused for a minute and scratched her neck, feeling parched by the large amount of desserts they were eating she excused herself for a minute and looked for a server holding drinks.
Carnia ate every dessert present on the table, trying out every flavor and every types of desserts, she had a really sweet tooth that could be the death of her. she poked out the macaroni at the end of the table on the large tray and took a bite.
She thought that she was in heaven at this point, ever since she started living here in this world she never skipped a meal and ate all of the food served to her. All of their food were on par with 5 star restaurants in her world.
She pinched her belly and a small lump of fat appeared, she giggled as she patted her belly lightly, she turned her head to look for Rina but her eyes stared at someonelse.
August looked at her at a far, he was with the group of people Ethan joined in, Mylene is also seen there buttering up to August, her eyes were forming into heart shapes. All of the girls flocked beside him like flies.
Carnia turned around and found Rina bringing cups of raspberry juice in a cocktail glass, her face sweaty while breathing hard, she drank her glass hurriedly and handed Carnia her drink.
After she one shot her glass, they both giggled, Rina talked about how one of the server ignored her while she was running towards him, she had to slide thru the crowd to find other servers for drinks.
"Mhm..Then I have to fire those servers immediatley."
They both looked behind them and it was August standing atleast a meter away from them, Carnia blinked her eyes thrice and looked behind August, Mylene and the other girls were glaring at them hard.
Rina also felt their glares and excused herself right away before greeting the prince leaving the two of them all alone, Rina never looked back and straight away left Carnia with him. Carnia looked at the disappearing back of Rina and wanted to kick it hard.
