After Rina left, the people that were put aside stood there in silence, not saying a word or even looking at each other. feeling awkward by the silence she grabbed a plate of sliced cake and swallowed it whole with one big bite.
"Such a messy eater."
August took out a white napkin from his under pocket and rubbed it on her cheeks, leaning down until they were an inch closer from their faces. Wiping down the frosting stuck on both of her cheeks.
Carnia watched it all unfold and is in a daze, she looked at his eyes the whole time while he was looking at her cheeks.
When August looked at to meet her eyes, Carnia quickly turned her eyes down to the ground. he chuckled in response and leaned backward to her, folding the napkin in half while putting it back to his under pockets.
Carnia looked again behind August and all of the girls present in the party were looking at her including Mylene, with either resentment or shock while at the other end of the table, hiding at the corner Lakida observed them from afar with heart eyes, Carnia felt their glares were digging holes in her body.
She fixed her composure, straightened her back and bowed elegantly to August, thanking and apologozing to him at the same time for the foolish acts she showed infront of him.
She raised her back and gave a business like smile, excusing herself to the prince and went to the direction of the crowd. she went to one of the balcony and tried to get some fresh air when August followed behind her.
"You!,What are you doing here?."
Carnia looked at him wide eyed and open mouth, she was totally confused as to why August would follow her unless he had something to say to her.
"Its not you, its your majesty."
August looked at her in a serious expression, Carnia looked at him and thought she had f*cked up, bowing down her head one more time to apologize to his majesty the crown prince.
"And I did'nt follow you, I went to get some fresh air and coincidentally you were here."
He moved to the raillings of the balcony and placed his hand at the top rail, Carnia looked at him for awhile and went to the other side of the railing, putting a big distance between them she did not believe what he said and instead made her more suspicious.
August looked at her from his side and laughed, he flicked his finger and told her to come to his side, Carnia just stared at him back and declined his offer with a smile. he tried again but this time he looked at her in a stoic expression.
Carnia clicked her tongue in protest but still went beside him anyway, she stood their in silence as the two of them looked each other until August broke the ice and took out a silver hairpin from his pocket.
He moved infront of her once again but this time a little bit more closer to her face than earlier, Carnia closed her eyes and bit the inside of her cheek.
August bonked her head with his hand and left the balcony, leaving Carnia with her eyes still closed. after a few minutes she wondered why it went quite and decided to open her eyes.
When she saw that August was not there anymore, she patted all the parts of her body and into her head until she touched something cold at the side of her hair. She took it out of her hair and found out it was a plain silver hair clip.
"A clip?."
She tried throwing the clip off the balcony but her conscious kept telling her to stop, she wanted to resent him but when infront of the person himself she felt like her whole body freeze's in an instant.
An unknown feeling she cannot fathom, everytime she was near August a feeling of wanting to be with him appeared, it was like an urge.
if it was still the remaining soul of the woman that had done this to her then why, she began questioning herself of why would the women love him even after death. She sighed in disbelief.
"Well, I hope this will be the last day I meet that bastard of a cheater."

"Duke Carlton Valentine, Your majesty is waiting for you in his work room."
Carlton went inside the hall with a butler guiding him to the Emperors work room, the hallways itself was full of diamond and gold, the hall had high ceillings and golden chandeliers, armor of knights placed at every corner of the room holding a flag with the crest of the royal family.
they came to a pit stop on a double doored room. the butler knocked on the door and announced the arrival of the Duke.
Carlton went inside and sat on a singular chair beside the book shelf behind him, he sat their with his legs crossed with his hand at the back of the chair in a relaxed position.
"Glad to see you're well."
The Emperor smiled and sat infront of him, he brought two glasses of red wine and moved a glass infront of Carlton, he took the glass into his hand and drank all of it in a swift motion.
"Of course, Your majesty."
"Oh please, don't call me that."
Carlton laughed at the Emperors face of disgust, he stood up and grabbed the bottle of wine behind the work desk of the Emperor, he poured at his own glass and move to pour another drink at the Emperor.
"Then should I call you Arthur like the old days?."
"If thats what you prefer."
Arthur one shot his glass and asked for more before telling Carlton to sit down infront of him to talk about a serious matter.
"Remember, when I told you that I will let one of my sons marry your daughter?"
"Ah, I remember that but we ended up having 2 sons anyway."
Carlton laughed making Arthur cackle with laughter, after they had calmed down they poured another glass at each other and drank almost all of it.
"Will it be Clyde?."
Arthur became silent at the question, he moved his wrist in a circular motion while holding the glass, Carlton noticed his change of attitude and continued.
"If its August, I have no problem but we have to wait until they are at a right age."
Arthur nodded his head and continued to dive more deeper to the topic.
