Salem awoke abruptly. Checking himself, he found he still couldn't move. To his dismay, he was still covered in his horrific burns.
'I thought that advancement would heal all ailments.'
---
Nanomancer is a special case. Not only do you not heal every time you class up, but you also take damage. Nanobots are incredibly volatile and unless your comprehension of their capabilities surpasses the constraints of your previous class level, you will take damage.
---
'F**k! I thought this would heal me, not hurt me! What is my current status?'

'Holy s**t I'm close to death. How fast does my health recover?' Salem was fearful of some random tap from someone or even an accident to befall him, ending in his demise.
---
Health is recovered at a rate of VIT*STR/10 per second.
Your current health recovery is 1.4 per second.
---
As Salem read the notification, his health slowly ticked up. Calculating quickly, his current health regeneration, matching up to his current max health was 1.8% per second. 'Thats pretty good. It's nice to know that I'm not going to die super easily. Not only that, but every minute my health regenerates.'
Convieniently, Cole entered after Salem had finished his advancement. Examining his wounds, he marveled at Salem's recovery speed.
"It's been a total of 2 days and you've recovered a quarter of the way. You're no longer at risk of dying from an infection too." Cole, realizing he hadn't fed Salem even once over the two days looked at him without a hint of guilt and offered him some food choices.
"Would you like some dumplings, pizza, or soup? I'm confident that you will be able to keep the food down, so you aren't required to have the soup.
Salem held up 2 fingers.
"I guess I'm going to have to feed the pizza to you then, because it looks like you're going to have permanent nerve damage."
Salem, expecting this merely closed his eyes and waited for Cole to return with the food, once again wondering if it wasn't one screw loose; but two.
