Chapter 250 - Not supposed to exist

She had even welcomed death by Aria with a smile and murmured, as Aria killed her swiftly after a slight hesitation of a few moments, "Ah!! So sweet! I couldn't even dream of a sweeter way to die."

Finally, when everyone left at that hideout was dead, Aria felt her life-energy giving out. Though still in a rage, she knew that she won't be able to hang-on much longer and was planning to unleash her rage on as many people as she could using all the four elements when a voice from behind her made Aria turn.

"Maybe you aren't their daughter after all." Aria turned around upon hearing that voice, floating in the air, blood dripping from many of her wounds and dried around the rest with all the four elements circling her like four rings.

She found Vincent standing in front of the hideout, unharmed except for a deep slash on his left arm from which blood was dripping. Aria narrowed her eyes hearing this. What did he mean by that statement, Aria wondered. The next instant, Vincent made himself clear as though he had heard Aria's thoughts, "You are not Amber's and Edmond's daughter after all. I had my doubts from the beginning, but now I'm sure. You are no royal. You are a monster who isn't even supposed to exist in this world!"

Aria's eyes blazed with anger upon hearing the words. She ground her teeth and all the four rings that were circling her flew towards Vincent, fire, water, earth and wind together. Vincent barely had time to form a barrier before the elements were upon him. But his barrier didn't prove strong enough and Vincent had to fight or dodge the four whip like elements that were attacking him relentlessly.

He was glad that Aria was in a rage and was using straight-forward attacks instead of tactics to fight. He was glad of his night warriors training as he began to use wind and water bending along with physical blows to fight Aria's elements, which were still the four whips and neither increased in quantity or changed shape. He was slowly but surely being overwhelmed when the whips vanished all of a sudden. Vincent turned and was very surprised to see Aria on her knees on the ground.

Aria frowned as she moved her hands and started to twirl her fingers to keep her elements attacking Vincent. It was getting harder by the second and she had to shake her head to focus. Blackness threatened to overcome before her eyes and Aria had to squint to look at Vincent who was very tactfully fighting her elements.

Aria decided to kill him with a quick strike and focused all her attention on Vincent, but in her rage she did something she never would have done otherwise. She forgot that she was bending wind to keep herself afloat. And as soon as her concentration faltered, Aria dropped to the ground.

Her broken leg, unable to take the weight of her leg, hurt like h*ll. And Aria dropped on her knees, all her rage suddenly vanishing.

Aria's broken leg had helped to clear her mind and she had finally taken control of her rage. But what Aria didn't realize was that her rage was the only thing keeping her conscious.
