Chapter 114 - What the hell!?!?!?

Aria did not feel like walking down the whole castle with all those stairs, so after Aria had tied her hair into a long loose plaid, she opened the window and climbed on the windowsill.

As she stood on it, smiling in the wind, hair flapping behind, of course Aria didn't hear a knock on the door and hear or see Joseph walk in.

But what Joseph saw horrified him to his very core. As he came into Aria's room, after much knocking, he saw Aria fall freely from the window. It was like someone invisible had pushed her. Joseph, at this moment, forgot all about how Aria, and even he could fly and rushed upto the window, his heart hammering in his chest.

He saw a figure wearing white shirt and dark pants, falling, falling, and falling. He watched in horror as Aria's plaid flapped out behind her and she did not seem to have any intention of slowing down even as she neared the earth.

Joseph had a horrible thought. What if Aria really was trying to kill herself? He wanted to scream, but his voice would not come out. He wanted to shut his eyes, but they were focused on the falling figure.

Just when Joseph thought that his worst fear had come true and Aria had fallen, she soared high into the air like a bird that had been diving for her prey.

Joseph sighed in relief as Aria flew up, a little way off from the tower, so that she did not see him. She seemed to be frowning and looking at her hands. She then muttered something which Joseph did not catch and flew away.

Aria, as she flew to the west tower, had no idea about what a fright she had just caused Joseph. She muttered to herself, "Damn, I can bend with my will. But I guess bending with so much precision and power that it takes to fly is gonna take some time, huh?" She flew over to the west tower and another problem arose as she circled it.

She could not recognise Helen's window!!

Aria slapped her forehead at her own stupidity as she continued to circle around, hoping to find some clue. Finally, lady luck smiled on her. Jacob was out looking out the window with a confused expression. Though his room was halfway down the tower, it was lucky that the window faced outward.

Aria alighted on his windowsill and let herself in.

Jacob was dumbfounded as he said, "What was that? Why were you flying around like that?"

Aria said as she sat on his bed, "I was too lazy to walk. But I couldn't recognise Helen's or yours window. It was lucky that you looked out."

Jacob shook his head as he said, "I am envious of you to be able to fly like that. But we're going to have to take the normal route to Helen's room."

Aria agreed and the two headed out. On the stairs, Aria said, "Hey, why did you change your uniform?"

Jacob had originally chosen the second uniform, the one with a coat. But he had recently changed it to uniform one, the same as Aria. Aria had been meaning to ask this but she had had no opportunity.

Jacob's tips of the ears turned pink as he said, "I hope you don't think I did it to fit in. To follow the trend."
