Aria looked at Jacob, "If I had assumed that, would I be asking you?"
Jacob was silent for a minute in which Aria continued, "I know you're not that kind of person. You actually wore that hat I made no matter what people said."
Jacob chuckled, "Right. That hat you made and gave me a dare to wear."
Aria's lips also curved into a smile, "The dare was for one day. You wore the hat for one week straight."
Jacob did a very good imitation of Aria flipping her hair, "What can I say. I'm such a great person."
Aria laughed aloud clutching her stomach. She said after a while, wiping tears from her eyes, "But we are getting a bit side tracked. Why did you change your uniform?"
Jacob: "It was not really me. I chose it because I thought that this one would look too plain in the glamorous capital city. But I can see now that I was wrong. It just..."
"Didn't feel like you." Aria completed his sentence.
By now the two had reached Helen's door. Aria knocked and Helen's voice came, "Who is it?"
"Your child from the future. Here to tell you that you gave me wonderful genes." Aria said and Jacob burst out laughing.
Helen voice also came in between her laughs, "I would like to tell my child that you need not have come from the future. I know my genes are fabulous."
Saying this, she opened the door.
Helen was apparently in the midst of getting ready, because she had her uniform on but was barefooted and her hair was down, coming upto her hips, and had a comb in hand.
Jacob said, "I'll leave you girls to get ready. I'm going to catch up with some of my friends."
"We'll meet you for breakfast." Helen called out behind him.
Aria was looking at Jacob's back and frowning. She could have sworn that she saw Jacob blush a little, but why?
Her train of thoughts was broken by Helen calling, "Come in Aria. Don't keep standing on the door."
As she walked in, Aria took the comb from Helen's hand. Helen said, "Could you make that hairstyle today too? It was beautiful."
Aria: "Sure I could. But it would be impractical. We're fighting today after all."
Helen tilted her head, "That's right. Then do whatever you want."
Aria chuckled as she put Helen's hair in a high ponytail. Her hair had grown. They came to her hips now and were getting quite unmanageable for Helen. So she would often ask Aria for help.
After she was done, Aria said, "There. Now Helen, if your hair is so difficult for you, why don't you cut them a bit shorter?"
Helen seemed deep in thought as she said, "Maybe I will. It was all right at home. With so many maids. And now I have to ask you."
Aria was surprised. She had expected Helen to refuse, as always. But this time Helen really seemed to be considering it.
"Anyway, I'm not doing it before the festival anyhow." Helen said clapping her hands.
Aria: "Oh that's right. The festival held at the start of the academy."
Helen nodded, "It is two days from now. You didn't attend last time. So this time make sure to not get hurt."
Aria laughed as she took Helen's hand and led her out, "I'll make sure to be in top condition for the festival."
The two girls headed for breakfast.
